I'm baffled as to why Pasadena Car Wash only has three stars- I've received five-star service here on three separate occasions. Each time involved quite a bit of vomit in my car (Ohh the joys of Uber driving... Ain't life grand?) It's really hard to find a place that will clean body fluids, most won't, but they do a great job. They go over the area three times to make sure all traces are removed. After each time I've had vomit cleaned out of my car here, I've received compliments on how nice my car smells, thanks to their hard work and air fresheners. They have a really large selection of auto related accessories for sale, which is super helpful as an Uber driver. I bought a gadget to keep my seatbelt from cutting into my neck, pepper spray in case anyone attacks me, a small box of tissues and of course, some more air fresheners. If I could rate lower than one star I would. This place continues to get worse. I asked for their best wash, the expensive gold wash. Told the guy I haven't been pleased with past washes as the windows were streaked inside & out and overall wash was not acceptable. He apologized and wrote something on a sticky note. Went to get into my car and had to call the guy I just tipped back over to clean the windows. When I arrived home I inspected my car. Terrible job. I had to redo their work. I could have done better at a coin-op wash. The location is convenient and we have been loyal customers for years. No more. Find a better business. read more

This company also owns a valet company called AVP Valet. They were used at an event I attended, got a parking ticket on my car while it was in their possession, didn't tell me about the parking ticket and instead tried to hide it. Now the parking ticket came in the mail to my house and he won't pay for the mistake he and his employees made. He won't even respond to calls. Horrible customer service. I don't mind the parking ticket, the worst part is how he handled it -- trying to hide all 18+ parking tickets the guests got and now won't take responsibility for it . If I could give them 0 stars I would. Such a shame that someone would deliberately try to conceal the parking ticket instead of just being honest to the guests. read more

4.5 stars Now don't get me wrong, I actually wash my own car and try to wash my own car as much as possible, but there are just some days where I just get lazy or I don't have as much time to wash my car as I'd like, I just take it to get washed. I have been going Mission Car Wash in San Gabriel for years, but for the times I'm just going to get a car wash and going straight back home, it's just a little out of the way. In an effort to find another car wash that was much closer, I initially tried the Arroyo Car Wash but did not like them because they use machines (Mission is 100% handwash) and did a half-assed job drying my car. I have passed by this particular carwash MANY times as I take the 210/134 entrances off Pasadena Ave quite a bit. I double checked here on Yelp and after skimming through the reviews, decided to give it a try. I pulled in in the late morning and they had quite a few cars going but weren't totally packed. Typical car wash set up. You pull up to a yellow line and you've got like 2 or 3 guys vacuuming your car. I get the service stub from the guy and go inside. They've got big windows so you can follow your car through the tunnel. They immediately lost at least 1/2 a star when I noticed the machines. However, the lobby inside is much nicer than at Mission Car Wash and Arroyo. Instead of cheap chairs or benches, they have LEATHER COUCHES. Yes, black leather couches. And they're comfortable too. And what carwash offers complimentary coffee and cookies to their customers? Right next to the couches are large wall-to-ceiling windows so if you look up at the right time, you can see the guy raise his hand, calling that your car is ready, all from the comfort of this air conditioned euphoria. The cashier is pleasant and in the instance that you don't notice your car is ready,, they will communicate it to her, which she will in turn announce over the PA "the customer with _______, your car is ready" That's some pretty good service there. I happened to look up and notice the guy was done with my car. I just went ahead and went out to the guy at the booth outside and confirmed that my car was done, then he handed my keys as I handed him the claim brochure and tip to give to the guy who dried my car and I was on my way. I was probably in and out in about 30 minutes. Pretty standard I'd say. Would I come back? Well, I'd prefer a 100% handwash, but the leather couches will be hard to pass up. I don't like dropping twenty bones for a clean car but this place makes it seem worth it. Pull your car into the lot and you will be guided into any one of three vacuuming lanes, asked your pleasure, and handed a ticket. Now walk up the five steps and into the waiting area. You now enter an oasis in the desert. Ahh, gloriously cool inside and all sorts of stuff to keep your interest like a huge rack of gift cards, and an insanely wide variety of steering wheel covers, CD holders, ash trays, and air fresheners. BUT HERE'S WHAT KEEPS ME COMING BACK. After paying you get to stroll up to the huge tin of sugar cookies and just gorge yourself. Fill a little cup with coffee, (actually decent stuff), and than go sit on one of the three large leather couches spread throughout the place, or if you get lucky, snag one of the super large personal recliners with wide arms that are perfect for setting your coffee and cookies on. Grab a newspaper from the large glass table and let your money work for you. Relax while your baby gets a bath. Dip a cookie, read a paragraph, sink a little deeper into the cush of the chair while someone else takes care of the dirty work. Ahhh, but it's cool in here... And for those who like to watch, you can follow your four wheeled friend through the whole sudsing process. Just side step from window to window along with your car and you'll journey from the big fuzzy turbines that begin your cars healing all the way through to those big hanging strips of cloth that repeatedly smack your car on the ass in congratulations as it's leaving the tunnel. The place is immaculately clean too. The only thing hideous is the black carpet with large candy colored confetti patterns. The front of the building is basically a large glass wall where you can watch all the elbow grease action from the comfort of your lazy boy. I brought my 3 day old Range Rover to this car wash last week for the first car wash on my brand new car and the employees scratched my car. These guys won't stop horse playing and when one of them tried to move away from a horse play the guy moved so quick and scratched my car accidentally with the spray bottle. This huge team of theirs should stop this game playing immediately. I tried contacting the manager but this place is not about "the customer is always right". My first two years going to this car wash, I thought it was a dream-come-true. The waiting area was air-conditioned and had comfortable seating, while the workers were seemingly content with their jobs. The waiting area also had a nice selection of humorous greeting cards, the browsing of which would help pass the time quickly. Some of the cards were so funny, I would catch myself laughing out loud to the stares of other confused customers. As it turned out, the joke really was on me. One fateful day -- after the car was successfully washed and being dried -- an employee broke a primary adjust rod while pushing the driver's seat forward. It suddenly became crystal clear that this car wash is staffed by the worst d-bags this side of Colorado Blvd. First came the denial -- "it was already broken" -- and then after talking to the manager, just straight up defiance -- "you can't prove we did that to your vehicle." The manager became defensive as soon as I began telling the story. The man had a disturbingly bad attitude, compounded by the fact that I was a loyal customer for years, and personally witnessed the damage caused by the employee. My best advice is to approach this place with extreme caution, as they could easily cause significant damage to your vehicle with no remorse. read more

I visited Pasadena Car Wash today for the first and last time. My car needed an oil change and I chose this place only because I had received a gift certificate from my brother. Upon first pulling up, I'll admit, I was really impressed. It's a large, clean, nice-looking area. I pulled up to the oil and lube area and didn't wait very long to be attended to. One of the employees came up to my car and asked me what I needed-not very friendly, just straightforward to the point, which I was fine with. He then tells me I get a free car wash with my oil change, quotes the price and directs me to wait in the lobby. The lobby is within a very well organized and cute little store where they treat you with complimentary cookies and coffee. At this point, I'm pretty pleased with how this experience is going. It all changes when they call me to the register to pay and I present them with the gift certificate. The gift certificate clearly states that it is good toward "Any Service". The lady at the register told me it was only good toward detailing services and car washes, nothing else. When I told her I was confused and asked if she could show me where it said that on the actual certificate, she without hesitation,blurted out that they tell everyone who buys the certificates that they can only use it for those two things. If someone gave it to me, they should have known (because they were told when they purchased it) and should have in turn told me. How Rude! I even actually bothered to double check with my brother, still giving this business the benefit of the doubt, and he assured me he was never told that. Even if that was the case, I was not pleased with this woman's attitude and response at all. When I continued to ask why they wouldn't just write in on their certificates so it's clear, her attitude got worse and she proceeded to tell me how she's worked there 14 years and that was how they do things there. I can be pretty assertive but this woman just made me feel horrible. She was not even apologetic for the confusion and she just got defensive and spoke down to me. Because I was so angry and just wanted to get out of there I paid and went straight to my car, where they were still finishing drying it. I had to wait another 5 minutes ( which felt like forever) to get in and as I drove away I saw that they left one of their bottles of rinse/wax/whatever it was on the hood of my car. Though initially impressed by the nice-looking set-up... the attitude, poor customer service, and overall incompetence I experienced will never have me going back. Disappointing... We just got a new car. First thing we did was take a road trip and broke it in. When we got back and it was time to clean him up I went looking for a car wash. I wanted to baby my new car and be sure to give it some lovin'. I wanted to show my new car that he was wrong to be afraid to be my new car. He must've not been in the mood to be intuitive and guess which of his services I was referring to because he pointed at their menu and said which one... (I figured when I said best, he'd assume I meant "best" and give me their best - but I shrugged it off, maybe this was on me? Like I said, I gave no love to my old car, so I wasn't versed in ordering car washes). Their menu is tiered by Platinum, Gold, Bronze, etc... So it was easy enough, but I found the man writing the wash-tickets to be unfriendly... Here I am front and center with a too big smile, excited for my first car wash, and he's got the most stoic look to his face... I don't get it? Whatever... He's not gonna bring me down! So I choose the Platinum wash, take my ticket, say thank you - which I'm not sure he heard cause he just walked away - and go inside to pay. The waiting area has couches and a huge window to wait comfortably inside while you can still see your car. I liked that. The cashier was super friendly, and chipper, she immediately made me feel like my encounter with the fellow outside was a fluke... I wait, they wash my car, clean it, do the hand signal and I hop in my car and drive off... At first I notice there is still dead road trip bugs on my windshield... Hmmm, ok... Then I look down and see that my touch screen still had finger prints all over it... Grrr... That sucks, not too happy, but trying to stay up beat... Then I pick my son up and as I'm buckling him into his car seat I notice that the back hasn't even been touched!!! Not vacuumed, not wiped down, NOTHING!!! Now I'm upset! I start looking around and go to passenger side and see that coffee drips that I got over a week ago were still there!! So now I'm looking everywhere and just find one issue after the other ... I decide to go back and ask for a refund... I go back and the cheerful gal at the front says she has to get it approved by the manager because they cannot give out refunds "just because someone isn't happy" - huh? I thought that's exactly why people get refunds, but alright! I'll wait for manager - who happened to be Mr. Personality out there from when I first got there. Great... He checks out the car - I had plenty to show him. I was going to be shocked if he disputed that the car wasn't cleaned... But he didn't. At first he tries to give me another car wash... But I just want my money back at this point, which he agrees to and I go on my way. I gave this place two stars; one because the refund was relatively painless and one because I loved their sitting area... I wish all car washes had that. Anyhow, it could have been a one time thing... But in this city - where every type of business or industry is saturated and I can just hop from place to place to place until I find the right one all you've got is once chance and that's it - which is why every single car they are given should be treated like gold... read more

I thought what a nice way to support small business Saturday until I arrived at the cash register to be greeted by an unfriendly uninformed employee with a bad attitude. I've been coming here for car washes and oil changes for many years and never had a problem until today. Their Yelp page AND the sticker on the door to the oil change building state that they are open until 6 PM (photos attached). I arrived at 4:40 PM and was told that they stop doing oil changes at 4:30 PM. I asked about this at the front desk and was told that the entire facility (including the car wash) closes at 5 PM. The woman at the desk was very nice and apologetic but didn't offer me anything but an apology. I wasted time cleaning out my car and driving there and will now have to come back (or find a new place to get my oil changed and car washed) due to their HUGE error of posting everywhere that they are open a full hour later than they are. I brought my Scion xB here that was COVERED in dog hair for a full detailing. I had tried to clean it myself, but it just wasn't working. I have an English bulldog, and their fur is like thorns! You almost need tweezers to get those little hairs out. I've driven past Pasadena Car Wash several times, so when it came time for me to take the car somewhere, they were my first thought. I rode over to see if they'd be able to do the job and for an estimate. They gave me a reasonable deal, so I went ahead and had them start on the car. Since it would be awhile, they had a shuttle drive me home. They later called me and asked me if I preferred to have the car done by that evening, or if they could keep it over night so they could take their time and do the job the best way they could. Of course I wanted a good job not a rush job, so I had them keep it overnight. The next day when I picked it up, I was FLOORED at the amazing job they did. It looked like a new car on the inside! Every last bulldog hair was gone. I really can't give enough praise for the job they did and the professionalism of the staff. I'm sad to give them 1 stars as i've been going here for over 3 years. After reading the reviews below (especially Traci L's on 3/26), i see that a few people had bad experiences like me. First of all, i get my car wash there every 2 weeks. it's a bit expensive but they do a decent and fast job. Yet if you are needing an OIL CHANGE- DO NOT GET ONE HERE. I made the mistake by going here and they caused a massive oil leak and broke a valve in my BMW X5. It definitely wasn't the first time i got the car's oil changed here too. Additionally, when i called and reported the issue, Lorenzo and Juan, the oil manager acted like it was no big deal. Due to the massive oil leak because they damaged some filters, it cost me an additional 110.00 to repair my car PLUS the 130.00 for the oil change. Because i go here often i allowed them some slack but their customer service LACKS tremendously and they tried to use every excuse in the book. DO NOT GO HERE and DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS. THEY ARE EXPENSIVE and THEY DON"T CARE IF THEY DO SOMETHING BAD TO YOUR CAR. Good luck to them. read more

I took my car in for the extensive exterior + interior wash with the shampooing and everything--the works! It cost me a fortune--$120 but they did a fantastic job and my car looks brand new! After studying the reviews I know that they are not great, but I decided to go anyways since it's close to me. I have to say I got their primary care wash before and, thought well, I'm not paying for their silver/ gold/ platinum package, so I don't deserve a clean car! So I decided to get the platinum wash for $34.99. I was thinking that I'm going to get a spotless inside and the trunk. Even with their platinum, they did a sloppy job. As you see in the photos, stuff is sticking around the Aux output ( which I can easily clean by hand) the dashboard is being waxed but not cleaned, you can see the corners are dusty, and the rims and the trunk were not cleaned just vacuumed. When I was paying the cashier just throw stuff at me and said sign this and keep moving her papers around in a nervous manner. Did not made me welcomed. I went here today for an oil change and a wash... The lobby smells like a mixture of stale vegetables, mildew, and wet socks...it hits you right when you open the door and can knock you out if you're not careful. Also, I think the cashier doesn't like her job. Thankfully, I'm patient and graduated from retail 3 years ago, but I asked about the price of a key-chain and she told me it was on the case. I almost laughed because her response was so rude. (Learn to laugh with rudeness, it helps). (Minus 1 star) Soooooo.... A regular wash is free with an oil change. Total was around 40. This place doesn't pay too much attention to detail...if you're that kind of person...my car mats were upside down and they had forgot the air freshener I added on. Had my car detailed at Pasadena Car Wash on 12/30/11. I used their online coupon to get a $25 discount, so the price was competitive. They did a great job and the car was ready on time. It was one of those situations where I had no idea my car could still look that good, particularly after four years of being parked all over LA and covered with nicks and dings. I didn't find a single thing that needed to be redone - I could not have asked for better. I saw some older reviews where people had a bad time with this place, but it seems to me they've gotten their act together. I paid for a Gold wash, and while the windows and mirrors were clean, the back window had not been sufficiently cleaned and still had a ton of rain residue--which means they never opened the trunk to get the part of the window hidden by the trunk. I went in to Pasadena Car Wash with one of their coupons from the website for an oil change (the discounted rate was around $42). I was told that it would be another $20 but wasn't given a reason as to why. There was nothing on the coupon citing exceptions - and even if there were, I don't drive an SUV or truck so made no sense. I asked for the general manager. He looked at the coupon as if he'd never seen it before and told me the same thing. He also could not give me a reason as to why. They simply refused to honor their own coupon. The coupon also gave a free car wash. I was not offered that either. SO I'm standing outside talking to the manager in the drive up area. I could not understand much of what the general manager was saying, to be honest. However, he was trying to get me to buy one of the expensive car washes. A lot of nerve. Then, an SUV pulls in and I get hit by it while I'm standing there! The car was moving slowly and the woman was very apologetic, so I let it go. BUT you'd think after all the inconvenience and being hit by a car on their property, he would, at a minimum, honor the damn coupon! Nope. I lost it at that point and let him have it. They reluctantly washed my car for free but I left without an oil change. Worst customer service experience ever. Avoid. I suppose it's hard for a car wash to achieve a 5-star rating. One time you're happy - the next not so much. I want to like Pasadena Car Wash more than I do, but I consistently leave feeling underwhelmed. What I like: One stop for both gas and a car wash. Ample room to wait either inside or out while you're car is being detailed. The work is normally consistent - good but not great. You turn over a card to pick up your vehicle rather than a receipt which can easily get misplaced. What I don't like: No matter when I go - whether it's slow or busy - when I pull up to leave my car to be vacuumed, the guys who are tasked with vacuuming seem annoyed if you take time to organize yourself and clean out your car. Solid 4.5 stars My first experience here was for a typical car wash ... no big surprises. They did the job in a decent matter within a good amount of time. I love their waiting area ... leather couches, free pretzels, cookies, and coffee. For my second time there, I had them shampoo the entire interior. The cost was $65 for the shampoo and wash. The interior looked brand new afterwards. I had bought one of those Japanese air fresheners while I was there for over an hour waiting (no complaints). When I got home and opened the package the next day, my better half realized that the cartridge was stolen. We called the car wash and spoke with one of the managers. I went there couple hours later and the manager happily gave me a replacement cartridge. He did not question my motives and was completely accommodating. Great customer service. If you live in the area, definitely give Pasadena Car Wash a try. Great local business for the community. read more

Came to get my car washed and was up-sold to an oil change because the wash was free with the deal. I usually don't do this but I was way overdue and planning on a road trip int he near future. When the mechanic showed me my main cabin air filter that filters the air going into my car, it looked a little dirty...but I have allergies and thought "what the hell, they have the filter in stock". For the next three months my car was super dirty inside and I could not figure out why. I took my car to my normal guy for a tuneup and he showed me the cabin filter they put in was the wrong size and they just folded it to fit. So much that there were large gaps on the side...thus explaining all the dirt in my car. Essentially the filter was useless. So shady, and the car washes suck they just phone it in and there is always dirt left on the car and they don't dry good enough. The moment you drive away, your car is streaked with water coming out of the mirrors. read more

It's crowded, friendly, efficient, and full of extra features. So while I didn't choose to fill up with gas, get my oil checked, or have a bronze, silver, or gold service done to my car, it was cool to have the options. The folks at Pasadena Car Wash did a great job on a filthy car, and did it quickly. But I still think $12.99 + tip is steep for a car wash. Especially one without any kind of precious metal name. read more

Yelped the nearest car wash and here I was. Normally I don't do car washes cause they really f up your car in the long run. However, with that said, I needed a wash and I was selling my car so whatever! came in, did the basic, got out not too long after. smooth experience. nothing was stolen that I could see thank goodness. First time here! Everyone was more then helpful! The prices were great! The waiting room is very nice and air conditioned on this hot day! The guy ran threw the prices with me, offered me a great deal and my car looks amazing! Very happy customer will be returning! 2nd time here not as great as the first. Different guy working when you first pull up and is super rude. Thought about leaving after talking to him about the prices. I hope my car comes out clean. read more

Expensive but good. But I think these are normal rates compared to the rates of everything going up. Regular car wash is 16.00 and they do good work. I used to get my nice cars detailed here all the time and that was awesome too. Best of all they have a cool living room type area with 6 couches and chill like your in your Livingston at home while the cars are getting Washed. Not like the other car wash hanging out outside while all the noise in the background. This place is nice. Plus they have free cookies and coffee while you wait. Customer for life. read more
