I have been coming here for over 4 years. Dr. Hakimi is an amazing doctor who truly cares about his patients but the front desk staff and scheduling here is absolute garbage. My appointment was set for 10 AM, I arrived at 9:50 AM, and by 10:45 AM I was still sitting in the lobby with 4 people ahead of me. I don't have time to spend 2 hours at the eye doctor. Stop over scheduling and see people WHEN THEY'RE SCHEDULED. When I informed the front desk girl I would need to reschedule my appointment since it was now 45 minutes past when I was supposed to be seen she laughed and could have cared less. I had to take off from work to come to my "appointment" and am scheduled to go in at 11:30. So essentially I took off from work for no reason and wasted 45 minutes of my day. Additionally, the facility is disgusting. The lobby chairs are covered in what looks like dark fecal/urine stains and the arms of the chairs have sticky residue on them. I called over to Pasadena Eye Center on Crenshaw and made an appointment for next week. Take your money else where. Maybe Dr. Hakimi will take these reviews into consideration & do a staffing revamp. read more

I went to the Pearland location and while they were punctual and friendly, the actual equipment and especially the bathroom was pretty gross. I didn't see them wipe down the equipment before I put my face on it and I didn't think to ask them too because I assumed it was clean but after putting my face on it it didn't feel clean. And I went to the restroom there and there was pee stains all over the seat it was pretty nasty. If they clean up better and have better sanitation practices then I would add more stars read more

I have been going here for 3 years now. Dr. Hakimi is excellent. He spends a lot of time getting your perscription correct and allows you to try multiple types of contacts until you find the right one without an extra charge. I have been a contact wearer for almost 30 years - this office gives you a very thorough and comprehensive examination- probably the best I have ever had. I love that they have the retinal scan option so you don't have to dialate your eyes. They could work on the timing of there appointments - I don't expect to wait so long when I have an appointment first thing in the AM - but the quality of the exam is so good it negates the inconvenience. read more

Not a good experience at this place.. Def.dont recommend to anyone. My daughter was sent to check eyes, had a not so kid friendly nurse put eyedrops in her eyes.. Then they prescribed her some really strong glasses me and my family could tell was not needed for her AT ALL. ALSO my father n law had an operation there on 1 of his eyes leaving it worse than what it was when he walked in. On top of that while I waited there heard another guy arguing with the staff because he knew they were trying to operate on his eyes knowing he could see fine from them so he left. Don't know what kind of education the staff have or if they're just trying to make extra money but definitely don't recommend for anyone to visit this place read more

The office was contacted and I was told because a chart was made that I must pay my deductible. I also know for a fact my insurance was ran before I got there. The collect all Insurance info when you make your appt like most offices do. They are very quick to respond to yelp reviews. Too bad they aren't as quick on the phone. read more

Dr Scott Segal is truly amazing! His entire staff is warming and completely helpful from start to finish. I went to two consultation for LASIK, and after speaking with Dr. Segal, I knew immediately he would be the doctor for me. He completely makes you feel at ease and walks you through the entire process. Unlike the other places, he is the one that does the pre-op exams, the actual surgery, and your post-op examination, so you aren't passed around through other doctors. This office will text you without authorization to do so. The office does not recognize appointments. You might be late, they might call you and expect you to drop your day and come early as a convenience to them. When you chose to change providers, they will not release care authorizations without phone calls. Office staff misleads customers (you are not a patient) when explaining forms to you. If you chose to not purchase eyeglasses at their in-house optometry supplier, you will face significant difficulty getting the insurance authorization released to use elsewhere. They will actually tell you that you have to buy from them. read more

My husband went in because he had something stuck in his eye for over two weeks. They were able to quickly remove the object embedded in his eye. The only negative thing I have to say is that we had an appointment at 11 and we're not seen until 11:15. We were out by 11:55. They had very friendly staff. Im being harassed to pick up contacts I never asked to order. My daughter had an eye exam for contacts and made it clear I only wanted the prescription since I would order contacts online. Kept getting phone calls that the contacts were ready to be picked up. I called back every time and informed them that I did not order any contacts and only wanted the prescription. Every time the person answering the phone said ok. Now im getting an email threatening that I will be charged a restocking fee if I don't pick up the contacts! I will never go to this place again and I recommend you go elsewhere for your eye examination. read more
