I sent Doug a message on Yelp, and he responded quickly with what turned out to be the correct diagnosis: biofilm buildup in the sink's overflow area. Even more impressive, he told me it was something I could probably fix myself. He offered to talk with me by phone and patiently explained what was going on, which I really appreciated because I honestly didn't even understand how that part of the sink worked. In the end, I was able to fix the problem myself with a flexible brush and a little bleach- less than $10 total. Doug was able to come and take a look the day we reached out to him. He explained what was wrong (the tank had failed) and how he could tell. He reassured us that it was not an emergency, but it had to be replaced. The next day he took care of the warranty replacement through the wholesaler, and installed the new heater for a very competitive price. So, i paid him the money and he left with two of his guys. The next day the shower in the other room next to the other pipes was leaking. I had to call another plumber to fix the problem. Their had the pipe needed to be welded from the master bathroom. That cost me another 500.00 to 600.00 dollars to fix the problem. So, i called Happy Sam to pay me back the money he charged me for the lousy job that he did. He refused to give me back my money that he charged me and he said he will call me on monday.
