Over the years, that carpeted area proved to be impossible to keep clean, and then when we had a baby, our hardwood flooring started pissing us off when all the creaks throughout the house would wake her (she's a light sleeper, lucky us). I reached out because I was looking to change out that carpeted area since our baby could start to crawl and liked to taste anything she could find on the floor (yay), but my husband wanted to redo the hardwood flooring in the rest of the house as well because we were tired of dealing with the creaky noise. David came out, measured everything quickly, and even told us we didn't need to change the hardwood floors (haha) but gave us fair pricing for both options (carpeted area only vs everything). He also said covering the hardwood floor might not solve our issues either. After mulling it over for a while, we decided to do everything, and let me tell you, I wish we changed out the flooring when we first moved in. We went with LVP, which was installed on top of the hardwood flooring (David also had underlayment installed under the LVP) and the floors are SO BEAUTIFUL. PLUS!!! SO. QUIET. Amazing. David's brother, Peter, did the installation with Miguel and one other person, and David initially told me it would take 7 days to complete everything but they finished within 2.5 days instead! He gave a complimentary visit for an estimate, which was fair and reasonable. Jacob had great communication, letting me know when he would arrive, and then being on time. The first day he removed the rotted planks with an orbital saw, which was more delicate than a circular saw and kept the neighboring planks safe, and the room less dusty. He had a miter saw to cut precisely. He did the cutting outside to keep sawdust at a minimum. He replaced the red oak planks and stained them the first day. The second day he buffed the planks, and did the first coat of seal. Then he took a break for it to dry, and came back later to put on a second coat. Perfect. He left the room and yard spotless. Honest, great work, great communication, and reliable. I would recommend him to anyone who is wanting to repair or rebuild their hardwood floors.
