As I sit here writing this review all I can think about is all the good times I experienced at this beach. First and foremost come early to enjoy the beautiful sunrises this beach has to offer. The sunrises are breathtaking and can be perfectly viewed on the long bridge the beach has to offer. This beach is great for long runs, short runs, or even just walking. If you look closely on the benches they have you can see a mile marker where if starting at the bridge you can see where the 1.5 mile mark is. Alot can be done here if your into fishing, swimming, or just walking observing the beautiful mansions on the waterfront. They also have a lovely park with kids slides and swings and even a huge pavillion with tables. The best thing about the park is they even have a nice splash pad open in the summer for the kids to run around and get wet. This is one beach you definitely have to visit when coming to the Gulf coast! The water might not be nice and blue but hey its MS right? The views and people here make up for it and I will definitely miss the long runs I had here and all the great workouts I had on the nice freshly cemented sidewalk.

Beautiful evening for a walk. Great place to catch a sunset. There is a pier, playground, grills, picnic tables, splash pad and restrooms. This is a very nice park for get together or events. It is well shaded with plenty of trees. Parking is adequate with a parking area and street parking available.

If you are looking for a nice quiet place to take a long walk. A place to gather your thoughts. A place to be romantic. Maybe even a place to have a little fun; this could be the place. An amazing beach that stretches over 3 miles. It's features an amazingly lit pier, volleyball nets, and a play ground for the kids. Multiple bridges near the road, were people often pull over and fish. Last, but not least; this is a dog friendly environment. If you are in the area, stop and check it out. One of Pascagoula hidden gems for sure.

Yes, it is a beautiful lighthouse but it is a serious pain to visit. There is no parking nearby and…read morethe road that passes in front of it is one way. You'll end up looping all the way around and under the Pascagoula River High Rise Bridge to come back to it. Or, you'll follow the signs and end up crossing over the bridge to make a u-turn and come back over the bridge to get to the lighthouse which still has no parking. We were here at 8am on Sunday morning so I just did an illegal parking move, put the flashers on for a few minutes, and got my eye level tour of the lighthouse. Which is impressive. The Round Island Lighthouse began in 1833 as a brick tower guiding ships through the Mississippi Sound, then was rebuilt in 1859 with a taller red brick structure and a fourth order Fresnel lens. The Confederacy removed the lens during the Civil War, but the light returned afterward and stayed in service until 1949 before being used as a day beacon for a few more years. Erosion and neglect took their toll, and by the time the city received the property in 1986 the tower was already fragile. Hurricane Georges toppled it in 1998, and Katrina destroyed the partial rebuild in 2005. The surviving base was moved to the Pascagoula waterfront in 2010, where restoration continues to preserve what remains of the original lighthouse. Definitely stop by to see it and be creative with your parking. [Review 309 of 2026 - 116 in Mississippi - 25497 overall]

Across from them, another couple was abducted at the same time, a woman named Mary Blair and her husband. This case was reported to the police and multiple witnesses came forward. There are plenty of books and documentaries on this incident, because it has been documented and has multiple witnesses of the lights, spaceship, and abduction. Research it. The event itself occurred right across from this park, over the water, next to the shipyard. If you drive to the shipyard, you actually can walk on the exact sport where Parker and Hickson were abducted, as well as Mary Blair. I thought you'd like to know...
