Drinks. That is some brown pineapple juice. It tasted ok.

We stopped in Pitlochry for lunch after leaving St Andrews. Pitlochry is a small Scottish town and on the day we were there it was a big New Years Day celebration with live music and dancing. The rain didn't deter these folks one bit. I had to break out the umbrella because of the constant rain. We ducked into Pasha after discovering that the Indian restaurant around the corner was actually closed. Pasha serves Mediterranean food but also offers pizzas, fish & chips, and other English fare. Upon entering, we snagged a table by the window so it made for decent people watching. The waitress came up to ask if we were ready to order almost immediately. I decided to order pineapple juice instead of beer because I wanted the extra vitamin C but discovered that their pineapple juice was in fact brown. It was a funky color but tasty ok. I ordered from the lunch special menu and had the falafel & salad starter and the lamb guvech. The falafel was really good. It was crispy and delicious. The salad was just standard and not memorable. The guvech is essentially a meat and vegetable stew. You had the option of ordering lamb or chicken. By now, I was a little weary of chicken. It was perfect for a cold rainy day. My dining companion ordered just the lamb guvech and a beer. It was a £1.00 difference between the lunch special and the entree. I'm glad I opted for the special. The service we had was fine because we beat the lunch rush. Others in our tour group were not as lucky. They had walked through the town and back deciding on where to eat and discovered that there wasn't much to choose from, so by the time they circled back, the place was packed and service slowed due to additional patrons. We ended up paying up at the register because we had to split the bill but for the most part, service was fine. We were able to walk around the town right after in search of a pharmacy and more gift shops.

I don't get how they haven't had a review in 3 years! We try to visit places that don't have enough reviews and I want to touch on Pasha. Firstly it wasn't crowded and the service was good. I feel she was a little shy and I think at any place you eat out at you should be patient, non the less she was super nice. We ordered the prawn cocktail and it was AMAZING. I definitely will crave this once back home in the US! I ordered the lamb meatballs with carrot and spiced tomato sauce over potatoes and comes with the basmati rice with colorful detail on the ingredients. It was served sizzling and it kept temperature the entire meal! It really hit the spot on the semi chilly day and with a good tea it was just perfect. The Turkish bread was also pretty delicious. They have alcohol and wine list which I couldn't order from because I'm with Child but this place deserves more reviews. We were glad to have chosen this one:) I feel like past reviews might have had a more I'm home kind of taste, so if you're more of an adventurer on the taste pallet then this place will be delightful for you. If you just want something else blander then this place wouldn't be for you.

    A mixed starter, very yummy!

Recently went here for a work Christmas night out and was pretty disappointed on a few levels…read more Firstly, we were pretty much shouted at by the smaller manager guy, who was livid 2 people were running late. Not the fault of the people sitting down... Secondly, the food was cold on arrival. I am to understand the food was pre-prepared and this is probably the reason why, but it made me quite sad. It was freezing outside, and a hot bowl of soup would have been lovely. Thirdly, I had a taste of my friend's risotto and sadly it was like sludgy rocks. I would recommend that if they are not confident in what a risotto is or not confident in preparing one, they should not have put it on the menu. Was a real shame. My steak was mediocre. It looked nice on the plate, but the steak itself was full of fat, the potatoes were pretty solid and the ragu thing it came with was very bitter and didnt quite ,match the meat. I also ended up quite ill during the night and the next day :( I would like to say though, that the presentation is beautiful, the food looked stunning, and the restaurant has a lovely interior and immaculate bathrooms. All of our desserts were lovely and again looked really nice. The food was the let down overall. I doubt I will return.

This new modern glass fronted restaurant provides an excellent if not compact menu with great friendly service. Still a firm favourite with us and definitely a recommendation for anyone coming to Dundee. The meze is a great way to start a meal with a group of friends!

Topkapi is a Turkish Restaurant and Takeaway…read more I've only ever had takeaway from here, but can say it's the best Kebab I've enjoyed in Fife. The Owner and Head Chef, Murat, has been cooking Turkish food for over 25 years and that experience really comes through in the flavour of the dishes. Assisted by another friendly face in Ali, they give you the feeling that nothing is too much trouble and that they enjoy preparing food for you. So far I've tried the large Lamb Shish and Kofte mixed Kebab, which was both substantial and delicious. Tender meat, lightly spiced in the case of the Kofte with crisp salad, sauces and fresh pitta. I've also had the Lamb Sauté. This is a saucy, tomato based dish with slow cooked diced Lamb and served with a seeded bread that is like a cross between Naan and Ciabatta. My apologies for not knowing the name of it prior to the review. Again this was lovely but, if you are ordering this, please remember it is a sauce based dish so not a kebab. With that expectation, you should enjoy it very much. Having only discovered this place relatively recently, I've been three times already !!! Good food and friendly service will do that to you though :-)

It was around 2:30 and he was was just working on opening but welcomed us in and fed us enough food for 3 people and it was delicious. Definitely recommend and such a welcome change from the bar food that is mostly prevalent throughout the country.
