This spot was my favorite place to visit in Pass Christian! We asked for recommendations on coffees, but the staff were a little standoffish with helping us come to a decision. We ultimately decided on the iced coffee, which was very tasty and the grits, bacon, and brisket biscuit for food. The bacon was perfectly crispy, and the grits were on point! We loved looking at the books and my toddler ended up choosing a book with a flashlight that she has not put down! There was also water on each table and chairs to sit outside with a view of the beach! We took a trip to the bathroom and it was very clean! We can't wait to come back, to visit again! read more

Awesome book store. It's very quaint, in a neat building sitting with blatant views of the gulf water. It's not very large so the book selection is manicured, but with an emphasis on regional interest literature. The food is remarkably food for a facility so small. read more

This place is just darling, and the food/drinks are terrific. They were out of eggs for a breakfast sandwich, but the chocolate croissant was an amazing substitute. This place is full of books for reading while you're there or purchase. Upstairs are books only about Mississippi. Staff were friendly. I will be back! read more

Pass Christian Books is a fantastic little book shop right on historic Highway 90 in this small Mississippi coastal town. It's not just a book shop, but a gathering place, too. Good coffee and good food. I go back often. read more

Poor service, poor quality in food, (deceptively) poor location. I ordered a "croissant ham, egg, and cheese" and a cortado 'for here'. One of the benefits of going to a non-starbucks establishment is the local feel and the 'real' dining-ware, i.e. real coffee mugs, etc... I received, a few minutes later, a BAGEL ham, egg, and cheese. When I notified them of the mixup nothing was done to adjust/fix the order. Nothing seemed fresh - the egg had to have been a warmed up pre-made item, the bagel the same, and the ham lacking any real ham taste. Then I received my espresso drink in a TRAVEL cup :( I asked the waitress if I could have a 'for-here' mug (it just feels better, right?) and she said they were out of clean dishes. Uh, the place seated 20-30 people tops and it was half full and they were "out?" -- So I went to the barista, requested a for-here cup (which I saw PLENTY of on top of the espresso machine) and she obliged with a somewhat disgusted look on her face. I definitely got the feeling that this establishment was more than happy to cater to the "older" people in the room as we seemed to be the only ones with to-go cups. And while the patio is nice (kind of overlooks the beach/marina area) it's surrounded by 2 streets, one extremely loud when anything above a Nissan Leaf drives by. All in all I appreciate the attempt, but I can't recommend this to anyone else. read more

I absolutely adore this bookstore / coffee house! My latte was pricey (4.98) but delicious and the decor and view hold you captive and make you smile and smile and smile.
