We made a last minute decision to charter a boat for a dolphin sunset tour. We could not have made a better decision when choosing this tour! We have been on many tours that are on bulky pontoon boats where you are packed in like sardines. This is a large speed boat that has a tendency to make most men drool when they lay eyes on it. We decided to go a few hours before sunset so we could enjoy the sunset on the ocean. Not only did we see dozens of Dolphins up close, but had an amazing unobstructed view of a breathtaking sunset. Bruce and Kaco were great. We did the 4 hour boat tour which involved snorkeling, dolphin sightings, a trip to Egmont Key State Park and we even had a little time left over to do some sightseeing. The snorkeling equipment was very nice and they did a great job at telling us different facts about the island as well as educate us on a lot of different Florida related subjects. They were great company and I honestly don't think I'd want to do it again with any other guides. The boat was very nice as well. Their price was very fair and it was the highlight of our trip! read more

We booked Captain Bruce for a 4 hour boat ride to discover nature and dolphins. We had the best time ever! We went to a sandbar to collect sand dollars - Cap't Bruce was a champ and didn't stop until he had at least 10! (not live, of course). We then saw so many dolphins - he knows how to have them follow a wake and jump! Then we went to bird island to see our favorite pink duckbills. It was a wonderful trip - the boat is pristine and it was such a fun day. We can't wait to do it again. read more

Easygoing and great adventure!. As naturalist and hippies, we booked a full 8 hr design your own tour. Even at the full price, it is a bargain for two or three couples. This time was just a romantic quick getaway but, will have friends for the next one. We love to snorkel and we were able to find a few places to swim in nature without needing to spend the whole day at passage key. We suggest enjoying the morning out in the gulf seeing the coast and tracking the dolphins, then spending a few hrs socializing at passage key before heading out for a quick swim or, perhaps some intermediate snorkeling in about the 12 ft. Think playing in deep-end of pool as a kid with fish! Just relax and float. As it was cloudy water that day, we made the best and had truly wonderful time of it. Especially enjoyed the water and; a great Captain to guide us safely to all the sites before we had to cover up and head on in. We had a great day and will book again! Maybe next weekend! We booked the 4 hour tour. The original plan was to cruise out to Egmont Key. The wind was really blowing so Captain Bruce offered an alternate plan. It was perfect! We saw dolphins and manatee galore. The highlight of the trip was when Captain Bruce maneuvered the boat in such a way that the dolphins played in the wake. They jumped and swam alongside us for close to 10 minutes. I've been on several dolphin tours and never seen anything like it. We also went snorkeling on a sandbar loaded with sand dollars, conch shells and lightening whelp. The boat is beautiful and very comfortable for 6 passengers. Captain Bruce was incredibly knowledgeable about the area and marine life. We've already recommended him to friends and will book again. read more

We went on a snorkeling cruise this past Saturday. We saw manatees and dolphins up close, the boat was very nice and comfortable, and the Captain and his wife are lovely people. We also had time to stop and hike around Egmont key which was an interesting place to explore. By no fault of the captain this area is not ideal for snorkeling so book a trip to the Florida Keys if that's what you are looking to do. I highly recommend this charter! read more

My husband and I and another couple visited AMI last week and we had the pleasure of booking a 4 hour excursion with Passage Key Dolphin Tours. Bruce, who is the owner of the boat and company was our captain and he made the entire experience great from start to finish! We booked our tour online without talking over the phone and when we boarded the boat he asked us what we wanted to get out of our excursion and made sure we were all comfortable. The boat was very comfortable and nice, probably was the nicest tour boat we've ever been on or seen around the island! We got to see dolphins and then ended up snorkeling around some underwater ruins off Egmont key. If you don't know the history of Egmont key i highly recommend doing some research, it's very interesting! Bruce then took us to the beach on Egmont Key and we hiked around the island for a couple of hours and we returned to the boat. Bruce was a great guide and had plenty of fun stories to entertain us the entire time! We got back to the dock a little later than planned because of the headwinds coming back from Egmont Key, so Bruce suggested we visit the "Shore" restaurant on Longboat Key just right down the road from his dock, definitely worth the visit! Overall we loved this experience and it was the highlight of our vacation. When we are back on AMI we will book another excursion! read more
