Our highlight of our week in Anna Maria island was our time with Captain Kim's charters. We did a sunset cruise with Captain Guy and had so much fun we did another cruise the next evening AND a full day eco trip all day Friday to Egmont Key with Captain Guy. We saw dolphins, manatees, pelicans, turtles, sea horses! It was so fun and laid back. The colors in the sunsets here look like a painting. Both Kim and Guy were helpful and had lots of great information about the area too. We can't wait to go back!

Captain Sky did a great job teaching our kids and us! They loved learning about all the sea creatures at the sand bar and within the bay's nursery. Everyone loved the dolphin sightings and overall experience with Skylar. She is awesome!

    Sea urchins, so cool!

We had a phenomenal time with our tour guide, Guy (I think that was his name!). We did the two hour tour of dolphins, marine life, then went and looked for sea urchins and sand dollars. We saw dolphins and manatees up close. He was extremely informative and a very fun person to be around! I would highly recommend doing this excursion, best $30 (per person) we have spend down here by far.

Our family of seven ranging from 6 years old to 72 years old all loved our combination tour on Christmas Day. We got to see many dolphins in their natural habitat. We got out on a sandbar and picked up dozens of sand dollars. Then our captain shared scoops of plants, fish, crabs and more for us to touch and hold. Highly recommend! Way more fun than just a dolphin tour.

Capt Kim's Charters are fun and a great Eco learning experience. It was relaxing and we loved sand dune hopping & looking for sand dollars. Capt Mark who is Capt Kim's husband filled in on our pontoon boat and he was awesome!! Best money spent for an amazing and memorable afternoon with family. It was enjoyed by all! We are definitely coming back again.

We planned our boat charter from a recommendation we had from friends back home in Iowa that had done the "eco" and sea shelling trip from Captain Kim a few months earlier in the year. We scheduled the boat charter and will give the highest recommendation to anyone - adults, kids, family - Captain Kim is absolutely amazing and extremely knowledgable of the waters and sea life. We saw more "life" than we have ever seen before - It was one of the highlights of our trip. We are definitely bringing the rest of the family back next year and will call on Captain Kim again...you will NOT be disappointed.

Captain Kim got us in with little notice today. We spent an amazing few hours with her. We saw starfish, sand dollars, sea horses, so many cool things! She is incredibly knowledgeable! We truly enjoyed our time with her!

My family came down to Anna Maria Island from Ky for vacation and decided to go shelling. I am so happy we chose Captain Kim!! She is very sweet and kind and even got out to help find shells. We found quite a few and these huge shells. But because the snails were still alive we put them back into the water as we didn't want to kill them!!

Great way to get out on the water. Staff is awesome. It's a shirt to do whenever we have company in town.

This year I kept the streak alive with a charming overnight stay onboard the Dream Lover. Our hosts, Kay & Jonathan (yes, that's Captain Cook) and their dog Skipper welcomed us aboard like long lost family. We enjoyed a beautiful breezy afternoon chatting topside over a nice glass of wine and some snacks. Kay and Jonathan gave us lots of suggestions for places to dine and we spent the evening exploring the area. Later that night after dinner we lounged on deck - enjoying the night air. Our accommodations in the captains quarters gave us a first hand taste of what living on a boat is like from the gentle rocking and splashing sounds against the hull to the unusual blender-like action when you flushed the head (that's boating lingo for toilet to you land lubbers!) Just two blocks off the sand, we took a 3 mile walk on the beach the next morning and came back to a wonderful breakfast and generous amounts of coffee! Then Jonathan treated us to a little tour in and around the surrounding marinas on their dinghy Bad Dog. It was the perfect way to cap off the stay. If you are looking for a unique place, if the idea of life on a boat intrigues you, if you are willing to exchange the cookie cutter experience of a chain motel for a one of a kind, authentically nautical overnight experience (with all the quirks that entails) this is the place for you.

We enjoyed spending time with them and learning all about the boat- something we have never thought much about! Breakfast was to die for, and the wine a fantastic added bonus;-) I have never felt more at home while on vacation- and that is NOT an exaggeration! The boat is well kept, clean, and oh so comfortable. It was such a unique way to spend our anniversary- I cannot wait to bring our daughter back for a weekend adventure and would recommend a stay to anyone looking for something out of the ordinary.

We couldn't have asked for a better evening; the weather was beautiful, the company was great, and most importantly, the Captain and crew were absolutely wonderful. We boarded promptly at 5pm. After going over some of the basic safety procedures, we were under way for a relaxing sail into Sarasota Bay. The crew, which consisted of Catherine, was very knowledgeable about the area and the boat we were sailing. The Captain, Kurt, was extremely friendly all the while he was maintaining a safe operation. During our sail, we managed to spot a manatee, several dolphin, a sting ray, and numerous bird life in the bay. I have to say, this part of Florida is just filled with natural beauty between the wildlife and the habitat around it. Although we did not venture too far from the home port, none of us seemed to have a care in the world, and for three hours, any thoughts of the real world melted away. I would highly recommend this sailing charter to anyone looking to get away from the hustle and bustle. Actually, I recommend this charter to anyone and everyone. This is truly an experience to remember.
