My wife and I enjoyed the dolphin cruise today. Rob was our captain and Kelly was our tour guide. I can't praise them both enough. Rob worked hard to find dolphins...we saw dozens. And Kelly was the sweetest and most knowledgeable guide, serving us drinks and delicious donuts and then educating us on not only dolphins but many of the birds we saw as well as the homes along the water and area beaches, bridges and islands. Very fun tour of Sarasota. We didn't see dolphins due to low tide and cold temps, but the ride was relaxing and gorgeous. Everyone was very friendly. My son was able to drive te boat which was fun. read more

Recently we went on the Donuts and Dolphin boat tour. Our Captain Jason and his first mate Danielle were awesome. We did see dolphins, but the boat ride itself was relaxing and Danielle narrated local points of interest. They were excellent! I would highly recommend this 2 hour trip. Very nice! read more

Family of 3 went on their Sunset Dolphin Tour. It was great, I highly recommend it. Jim was our Captain and Chandler the First Mate. They were good guys, gave us lots of good info about the sights and the environment. Probably everybody's first concern is seeing dolphins. Good news! Jim says there are always dolphins in the area and he sees them on about 90% of his tours. We saw a group of 3 dolphins chasing fish. I think they were at a "known" spot for dolphins. Lots of other tour boats came and went but Jim kept us there the longest by far. And we were rewarded with seeing them jump out of the water and such. Got a good long look at a beautiful sunset. The vessel was solid, roomy, and clean. They had good music, complimentary beverages (including beer & wine), and a relaxed vibe. Its just great to be out on the water. We booked a sunset cruise out of Keyes Marina on Anna Maria Island for four of us. First mate Meghan and Captain James took us around the bay and provided a fun and educational tour of the area, then edged out into the gulf for the gorgeous sunset. The boat is a large pontoon with seating for up to 20, with comfortable bench seating, lighting and music. We even got done karaoke in on the way back to the dock. The tour includes complimentary beer and white wine but you can bring your own everything. A bathroom is available on board. The boat docks at Keyes Marina, a great fish and tackle shop with lots of outdoor seating while you wait, eat or just hang out. We had a blast! Highly recommended! read more

We had a blast! It was a little long with a two year old, but that's just info for family's planning to bring a toddler. The two hours was a nice time period otherwise. You get to see a lot of houses owned or previously owned by celebrities, which is always interesting to hear. Destiny and Keith were very friendly. Our daughter especially enjoyed being able to "drive" the boat. That is definitely an extra special Touch. We didn't get to see dolphins, but that was just the luck of the draw. The hubs and the kids wanted to see the dolphins but for me it was the birds. They were a wealth of information. Not only about the birds and Dolphins but of houses along the way. I was able to get a great picture of a King Fisher. The Captain also gave us a tip on another place to see birds. Thank you guys. Go out with them. We went on the sunset cruise and it was an amazing experience. We were able to see dolphins and appreciate the beautiful sunset. Steve gave a thorough tour along the bay, told really interesting facts. The Captain and Steve gave us all plenty of time to enjoy and take pictures with the sunset! The ride back was so much fun, there was music playing and dancing involved! They had soda and water in a cooler on the boat, although you're able to bring your own drinks! There is also a toilet in the back if needed! I'd definitely recommend this to anyone! read more

This is our second time in Siesta Key for vacation. First time, basically sat around the shore, ate dinner at several places and bought some stuff at the tourist shops. This time, our daughter was with us for just the weekend and we decided to do "something" other than sit around on the beach. So, we tried Fun Boat Tours. Very good decision! We did the Dolphins & Donuts tour at Siesta Key. This is a tour of the local area, up the channel to Sarasota, where we encountered a couple of groups of dolphin. One of our "guides", Keagan, explained the difference between dolphins out at sea, a pod, and the groups in the channel. It was a different name, sorry, I forget. Ah, well! Anyway, both Keagan and Keith, the "skipper" were both informative and funny. Informing us about the different dolphins we encountered as well as some of the other wild life. Also, telling us about some of the famous folks and their homes along the way, Like Andre Agassi, Prince's former winter home, Dad Prescott's Sarasota home and the $10k hammock. Fun stuff. Ohm the donuts!! These were the product of a place called 5-0 donuts. A shop founded by two former police officers. If in the area, I would HIGHLY recommend stopping there for your own donuts! Oh yeh! Anyway, the donuts supplied for the tour were form there. Coffee was good, and then a variety of soft drinks, bottled water and gatorade and juice. Al and all, a great morning tour. Saw a bunch of interesting animals, huge, beautiful homes and learned some interesting, if maybe, on an occasion or two, some made up stories. But, it was a really enjoyable time and I'd recommend it easily! read more
