I randomly stopped in here and wish I didn't. I had to get gel nails taken off and a regular manicure done. Prior to the service, I explained that I didn't want any cuticle care. I had to repeatedly ask the nail tech, Tammy, not to do my cuticles to which she said "just a little" but went in to the point where I had to yank my hands away and tell her that she was hurting me. She ended up cutting several of my fingers and also 3 days later and one of my nails is inflamed. She was way too rough overall, didn't listen to my requests, and didn't even do a nice job on the nails nor did she clean up the excess nail polish that she got on my skin. I went to their nail salon yesterday, and it was honestly the worst experience. Their google listing says they close at 7:30pm, but when I called and asked if I could come in late due to traffic, they agreed. However, when I showed up, the old grumpy guy Andy kept insisting they close at 7pm repeating it over and over again he was going home. I was super frustrated because I had already confirmed a later appointment. Needless to say, the nails turned out awful and he never used a base coat, because of this they are already chipped. The WORST skilled nail techs ever in here. Stay away, this is your sign and warning. I do my own no chip manicure at home and haven't been at a nail salon in a year. Today, unfortunately, one of my nails broke and I really didn't want to file it down so I came here to try and have them fix it thinking how hard can it be for them to mess up ONE nail. Spoiler alert! Was not hard at all!! My nail tech had my one nail under the lamp for 4 minutes every time . She puts so much acrylic powder on my broken nail which I thought she was going to file, and she did, just ONE SIDE. So my nail looks like it's growing on an angle and I tried to explain to her that my nail is crooked because did her filing just one side and she keeps cutting me off and not listening. I gave up so I just let her do her thing. She paints my nail, cures it and then .... Continues to file that one side. Now my nail is completely RUINED. I don't care about the money but if I'm paying you for a service then I expect you to at least have competent people doing this. Yes I gave her a tip bc I feel bad for older people but I am so mad that you can never trust a nail salon. I use to go to passion nails for years when I lived in the neighborhood, and I loved it. Recently, I've been going and having some bad experiences but today has topped it all. I called and asked for a gel overlay and no chip pedicure and he told me they can do it and told me to come right in (great, considering today the day before New Year's Eve and I know it can get busy) I came in and chose my color as usual and within a few minutes I was in a seat. The lady who was helping me started off fine. I like when my tech is a little rough, makes me feel like she's putting in good work. But this lady cut me three times and by the fourth time I had a reflex to shout "hey man" because this time it really hurt. My nails are crooked and the polish was slapped on. I figured ok, maybe someone else will do my nails. Nope, she proceeded to file the polish and tried to put powder on my nails. I tried to explain what gel overlay is and they tell me they don't do it. So the owner tells her to take the gel and put two coats before the gel polish. She didn't even cut down or file my nails. She did not even touch my cuticles but a few spots where the polish was on my cuticles. After she was done, decided to shape my nails. I've been doing my nails for over 15 years and this has been one of the worst experiences I've had a very long time. I am sorry but I will never step into passion nails for another service. My 11yr old recently came in to remove her no-chip today. Sad to say, we will not be returning to this unprofessional establishment, along with their staff that lacks common decency and work ethic. My daughter nearly left in tears when her nail tech made a comment on her eyes brows, stating "your eyebrows are horrible, you need to get them done". I believe I stopped in here a few years back to get my nails done, and it was okay... but this last time... YIKES! I stopped in because they were taking walk-ins. I was told to pick my color for my manicure and while I was looking a woman told me to sit and brought me samples of color. I picked one and away we go... so she's doing my nails and it starts out normal... I'm just getting a mani, no gels or tips or anything like that... but she takes out a dremmel and runs it over the nails on my right hand... quick like. I'm not a fan of the technique but I have had it done before. Things go along and she finishes my nails and it occurs to me she DID NOT run the dremmel over my left hand. No, I couldn't possibly remember it that way... but that was the case... without a doubt, she did not! How to I know? Because when i removed the polish, I had dents in all my nails on my right hand but not my left... it's been at least 2 mos and they haven't entirely grown out. I LOVE this place. I was recommended to come here by one of my friends whose nails I always loved. The first time I came, I didn't have CN do my nails, but every other time I have. I go in with no requests, aside from asking for my nails to be filed down and if I do/don't want gel nails. He typically asks me if I want a certain color, but I tell him "whatever you do will be great," and it is! I have been going here for a few years, Tina is the best for pedi's. I made a 630pm appt and I was seen right away. :) She def. has a process and she has great hands! Her massages are so good -she takes her time and does not rush,which I love. She is pretty accurate on the polish job too~ Had my first no chip also w/ a fill in. Went there to get a full set done for my daughter, per usual. And let me say that we will definitely not be going back.. After telling her we didn't like what she had done, and after arguing back and fourth, she grabbed my daughters hand, and took us by the owner. Because she had done a French tip, the only thing that could have covered the tip was to get gel polish. We agreed and my daughter and the lady went back to the station when all of a sudden the owner yelled across the room " I don't think mom wants to pay for gel, just do regular polish". Be careful when you visit here. They will tell you different prices that gradually get higher and higher. I called on two different occasions to ask how much a full set of acrylics were. They told me $28. I walked in to ask again to be sure, making it seem as if I was unaware. Again, they told me $28. But my nail tech was trying to scam me! -I always ask for powder acrylics because a lot of the time, when you ask for gel they'll give you powder anyways and charge you more! So I stated that I wanted powder in the beginning before she started my nails. While she was doing my nails she asked if I i wanted gel acrylics, mind you she was already applying the powder acrylics... I asked her what was the difference (but I already knew very well what the difference was) and she couldn't explain. She just said it's better quality. -When I told her I will try it the next visit, she said that she was already applying the gel acrylics and that it would now be $33! Then she said the total price will be $38 because of my length (medium nails) and for gel polish. I never told her I wanted gel polish and I picked up one that wasn't gel. I challenged her by stating how I can tell the difference between the acrylic and she got defensive, cut my nails short, and said "Fine $28" with an attitude. So I left out with short nails for $28 dollars and also paid $3 tip. Be CAREFUL! If you are unaware about things like average pricing, different acrylics, different polishes and ects they will definitely try to scam more money out of you! I notice that nail salons in the suburbs are prone to doing this a lot. If you want QUALITY nail service while also paying a good price go closer to the city. The most I ever paid for acrylics was $25 and the nails were beautiful! $28 is already high as it is. I just can't believe the nail tech really tried to "up sell"/deceive me into paying $38 while I was sitting right in front of her, paying attention to how she was doing my nails. read more

There was one guy who knew english better than the rest. This is a low key spot that I hope the rest of the public doesn't catch on to :) The aesthetic of this shop is so calming, although it can get a little cramped - there are only 3 seats in the waiting area and maybe 4 stations each for mani/pedi. They take their time here and the job here never feels rushed. I've had pedicures that lasted for weeks. I can't speak to the gel fills or full sets but next time I'm in the state of mind for claws I'll give this place a shot. :) My only beef is that they are closed on Sundays. read more

I don't know how this place has high reviews. Perhaps it was just my nail tech but still... When I went there there was only a few rows of colors to pick from that were OPI and Essie brand. Some of the bottles were crusty and half full. I ended up picking a no name brand and the tech had to add nail polish remover and shake it up bc of how thick the mixture was. As for my nail tech, I was so excited to get a massage for my hands and feet but was extremely disappointed when she just put on lotion and took it off. No massage! What's that about? That's probably my fave part of a ped and mani. Also when she did my manicure she kept grabbing my hands and throwing them as if they were dirty rag towels. Why? I noticed later the pinky and ring finger had lines on them. Possibly from her making my hands flail about. Probably the most annoying thing was that she cut my nails as I requested and then asked if I liked the length. This used to be my go-to place because it was right by my work! I still love it but don't go as often since it's a little out of the way now (my office changed). Always do a fantastic job on my gel nails and gel fill (pink & white). I mean always; my nails are always the perfect length and look very natural. The little guy is my favorite and I always make sure I go to him even if I have to wait. Price is very reasonable, place is clean (on the small side though). Staff is polite and professional. Never had a problem with a walk-in, longest I've waited was maybe 15 minutes and that's because I was waiting for "my guy" to finish a client. Note: there are 3 or 4 nail stations and 3 pedicure chairs so probably wouldn't be a perfect place for a large party. Also, adult crowd! YAY! I've never seen any kids there even though there is a high school across the street (thank god!) Note: there is a dunkin donuts next door! (yay!) and a CVS in the parking lot, so you can get a coffee or run an errand if you have to wait! whoo-hoo! Anyway, as he began working on my nails he proceeded to tell me what he was going to do...um no. I am paying you so listen to what I want. Well he didn't. He argued with me on what looks better. Well that's his opinion. I had to repeat myself about 5 times before his response was "ok well your the boss". So now we move on to the pedicure. I was placed in the chair and was told someone would be right with me. I waited and waited. Someone finally came to the chair about 40 minutes later. I've been coming to my nails done by CN for about two years now and I will never go anywhere else. He does them exactly how I want them every time. I'm always getting compliments and being asked where I get them done. It is also reasonably priced. A word of advice, if you want CN to do your nails call in advance for an appointment because he is usually busy. You can also bring in a photo from Pinterest (where I usually find mine) or Instagram and he will do his best to replicate the pic. They take cash and credit cards as well. I came here because of the good Yelp reviews and was sorely disappointed and puzzled as to the four star rating. The staff were rough and unfriendly. The nail polish selection was sad; they do have Essie and Color Club but none of the recent release colors. The don't have fans for drying, only UV light.
