Pink And White Full-set I was really excited to get this set done but it assured me that I should no longer do acrylics because I'm always left I unsatisfied. I am very frustrated because I continually told the nail tech what I didn't like or needed fixing and was still given nails that look like I did them myself. I spent almost $50 for a simple French mail that looks nothing how I wanted it to. I had a great customer service experience although the nails were not to my liking. Holy Canolis this place is amazing. I was looking for a place to get my nails done for a work photo shoot and I was able to get in here. Make an appointment. They are short staffed, so be kind and tip generously! Typically my nails chip in a few days. I am on day 10 on my no chip and there is no sign of it lifting or chipping. Friendly service. However, one of the men really did a sloppy job on my acrylic nails to the point of them being too long, even after I showed the length I wanted. Also, the glue got all over my finger tips and was in big clumps under my nails. My real nails were sticking out at the edges. The nails were different widths, and the nail polish was uneven. The owner spent an additional 15 minutes trying to fix the- no chip polish. $42 for ok nails is too much money. read more

After a year of bouncing around the local nail salons, I've finally found my regular spot! Amy is incredible! She always takes the time to make sure my toes are properly cleaned (most salons won't actually touch an ingrown nail, so finding a spot that will properly remove them is a big win for me!) This leaves my toes clean and pain-free! Amy and everyone else at the salon is very professional and friendly. They take care of you and do an incredible job. They also offer all their services for very competitive prices ($40 for dip, $28 for pedicure or no-chip mani). The salon follows all necessary COVID-19 precautions and is very clean. The cuticle trim was non-existent. Disappointing. A bunch of people had recommended it on FB so I thought I would give it a try. Went for a mani and pedi. It was relaxing and fine. Again, the cuticle trim was terrible (didn't happen) and the Polish job was meh - like whomever was painting my toes should have been wearing glasses - lots of misses. Work on the cuticle trim and get some bifocals, and I would try again. Until then, I'm going back to my tried and true up the street. read more

I first discovered this nail salon with my sister and cousin last year and it has been a regular of my sister and mine for mani/pedi since. I've gotten a manicure by everyone there at this point and I can say that they are all truly professionals, super nice, and do an amazing job. My sister's go-to is Amy. I would recommend them all equally. This is one of the few places I've gone to in my life where no-chip manis actually last a long time. They do get booked so it's best to call in advance if you can but just yesterday I gave Brian a call and he was able to fit me in for a same day appt, so they do try to make it work for you. I've been trying out nail places and was ultimately attracted to this one due to its lower prices. I called in for an appointment and were very kind. I came in with my sister who unfortunately cancelled her manicure but wanted to keep me company. They were very nice about it and offered her a seat next to me to keep me company. I got a regular fill in for my acrylics as well having a broken nail fixed and it only cost me $19! ($16 fill in, $3 nail repair) I can't wait to bring my best friend in next time I go so she can get herself a $25 full set (she loves saving money)! For years I've been coming here (since before I was in high school) to enjoy mani-pedi dates with my stepmom and sisters since we grew up/live nearby. I've always had a great experience from the minute I walked in--we were always greeted with kindness and always left pleased with our mani/pedis. They are all very sweet and every time I've visited, they've always remembered me and ask how my other sisters are doing. I was visiting in town this past week and my stepmom and I decided we'd stop in together before I left. I can not tell you how happy I am that I went with her!!! The results of my acrylics were just perfect--Kevin did such a fabulous job, I even asked him to come back to LA with me just so I could keep up how amazing they looked! He took his time and worked carefully with kindness. I can't say enough how much I was smiling the rest of the day just looking at them--I even posted a photo on Instagram. As a *habitual* nail biter, I must add that I have never really enjoyed getting a manicure due to the comments I've received in the past at other salons by manicurists (almost every single one I've ever ever to) regarding the state of my nails, but mostly because it can be very painful. Getting acrylics I found was the best solution to resist biting my nails. However, due to almost all of my fingers being crooked as a result of broken bones in a sports related injury as a child, if the acrylics are not carefully applied to each finger, the ending result is acrylic nails that don't align with each finger and looking just not right--definitely not something I am interested in drawing attention to. My hands aren't my best feature, but what ya gunna do? Compared to what I've paid in the past for acrylics that looked only half way as decent as my nails do now, this visit was a steal and really cheap. Because there's more to work on and less nail to work with, manicurists have gotten frustrated with the amount of time it takes to complete. I've found at other salons in the past they have quickly rushed through getting my nails done so they could handle the next person waiting--I'd estimate that a normal acrylic application takes about 1/2 the time as it does on my nails, so I end up getting charged more for the "+" next to it. For people like me. Anyways, thank you KEVIN for my beautiful nails!! I am so pleased, and I can't wait to come back into town again and will definitely be back!! read more

I have been a customer for 20 years; never heard or voiced a complaint and have been generally satisfied with their service. However, in trying to set up an appointment today, they refused to respond to my call after 5 attempts, and when I called from a different number, they refused to serve me because from their manager's words I "took a long time to select a nail color last time." Very odd and unprofessional, especially considering that I have made it a point to arrive earlier than my appointment time to give myself the time I need to pick out a color so as not to run into my appointment time. While I will get service from other establishments , I wanted all to know to beware of spending "a long time" selecting your nail color. read more

I moved to Skokie 10 years ago and tried Hollywood out. Loved the entire experience and kept coming. When I moved back to the city, I went somewhere closer to my place once or twice, but I then drove right back to Hollywood. I have been loyal and have brought friends and family in throughout the years because I know they'll be taken care of and will enjoy the services and techs. Amy, Brian, and Katie are 3 of the nicest, most personable people I have gone to and are incredibly accommodating to all, no matter the circumstances. They care about my overall foot health (it's an actual thing) as well as other services I come for. It's never rushed, they're never pushy and I will continue to praise and recommend. I work a lot and don't have much time for myself in these last few years especially, but when I come to Hollywood, I feel relaxed, excited to be there and happy to see everyone. My nail tech managed to get my nails done in record time without sacrificing quality and as someone who hates sitting still for extended periods of time, this made me ecstatic! There was also a rather unpleasant woman there whining about everything and they all dealt with her very graciously while the other patrons and I were all rolling our eyes, wanting to say something to her. I go here every so often, and occasionally I'll bring my friends with me. I never had a problem with their service, but my friends repeatedly tell me how they'll never go back. Today, I decided to go in an soak of my gel nails and get a manicure. First, the lady who was soaking my gel off told me i was being impatient (when i had already been soaking for 20 minutes) and sarcastically asked me if i had ever had a soak off before (which i have). They didn't have enough acetone in the bowl and i had to ask for more, which they hesitantly did. With normal soak off, the manicurist will come occasionally and scrape off what the acetone had removed, so the process is quicker, which she never did. She then proceeds to start another customers pedicure before I was done! The man that normally helps me (who's service i usually do like) sat down and started my manicure. While cutting my cuticles, he cuts me and I'm bleeding. Then he quickly paints my nails to rush me out of his chair because a line started forming. The paint job was bad, he didn't even pain to the side of my nail completely. He also left my nail bed jagged and the skin under the nail was longer than the nail itself! As I'm drying, I notice a girl who came in 15 minutes after me had a pedicure, manicure & her eyebrows threaded within the same time it took me to get a bad manicure!! Needless to say, I've heard my friends tell me they don't like Hollywood Nail, and today, i see what they're talking about. I wont go there anymore! and in my opinion, only English speaking manicurists do a good job so that you can clearly explain what you want. Very disappointed. read more

I've been going to this place for over 5 years. It's a family owned business, and they keep evolving and changing with the times. Prices are incredibly affordable, especially with the economy these days, and not only do they do your regular mani-pedis, but they also offer threading and waxing services as well as the OPI no-chip manicure, which I just tried out today (it's amazing). Was introduced to this salon some years ago by a friend who got her brows done here. If you are nearby and need a quick mani/pedi or brow threading, this place is very reasonably priced and acceptable. The staff is friendly and efficient. Usually when I come here there are women, but one time I got a man working on my nails and the mani wasn't that great of a quality. Also, there isn't much air circulating and the air is thick with fumes. However, it is small, family run and a great deal. I still come every so often to thread my brows. read more
