By the way, to date they only refunded us $202 dollars, less than HALF what they charged for a service we couldnt use because of them. -Our first hotel was 4 hours drive from the airport, by design, but that meant WE NEEDED A CAR -They told us they were not charging more than direct booking (wow was I an idiot for believing that) -This was our honeymoon and they put us in nice remote hotels, which you need a car at (most reviews say as much), so we couldn't see anything like we wanted -We paid hundreds for cabs, each cab is literally 40-50 dollars if you want to have dinner -THEY HAVE NO NUMBERS OR HOURS FOR INTERNATIONAL OF THE 3 PHONE NUMBERS THEY GIVE YOU, immediately after landing and realizing we couldn't pick up the car, we had to wait hours to be able to call them as they only had US business hours and no emergency number, what international tour agent doesn't have emergency hours or a way to contact them?? -They booked an excursion literally 4 hours drive each way away so we would have had to spend 8 hours driving that day. (no they did not warn or mention this) -They said they would book one thing, and then swapped it out for something else that was cheaper. -They tried to charge us over 5 GRAND extra initially, but they still managed to double charge us for half the trip - I should have seen the red flag, but their excuse was "oh sorry I was looking at the wrong hotel which charges around $1500 per night" -They still have not refunded us fully for things we could not do AT THEIR FAULT. Its been over a month and an endless litany of excuses and over the phone the numbers they say they charged us changes EVERY time as if they don't remember how BS extra charge they added on -It took WEEKS to even get a response to my inquiry, and there has not been an explanation as to the shadiness that has occurred. -One room booked was 300 bucks a night, with ants and it was obvious they were cheaper, after checking yep, 140 dollars a night... We called during the trip and there was no help changing hotels to meet our expectations worthy of a honeymoon - even though she admitted over the phone in Greece "That is strange you were charged double, I have no idea why" -I spent nearly 12 hours on the trip dealing with cancellations and researching what this horrible agency did, and what they should have done. -They charged $250 a night for a hotel that has rooms smaller than any cruise ship I've ever seen. Ever sat in a bathroom and touch everything in it at the same time? Best rated for "best cheap hotel" on a few website. Would be nice at the $140 they actually charged!! Come on... -Every week or so they go on vacation and are unable to help you, at all. I though the point of a travel agent was that they are supposed to be able to be contacted and have quick response when you're on a 10+ thousand dollar trip. -I've sent multiple emails referencing what they charged, and they still will not address why I was charged double, even though they admitted thats not right. Again its been over a month that I've been asking for a resolution. -The ONLY thing they did was add 3 transfers at their cost from hotel to airport/transfer, yet we still had to pay over 300 dollars for cabs, not to mention we couldn't explore a country we'll likely never be back to again at least for quite some time.

I write this review as a 'mama bear' to tell parents of college Spring Breakers what we…read moreexperienced using STS. A lot of parents leave their college age spring breaker to make the reservations with a lot of assumptions and lack of knowledge about the trip they just booked. I think parents need to guide their young adult to minimize assumptions and confusion about what they are paying for and what they are actually getting. I talked to STS twice after I read the travel arrangements made by my child's large group of spring breakers headed to Cancun. I found out exactly what was included, what were the procedures, how to pre- order the shuttles, what to expect for dining, what to expect with off premise excursions, and other things a mother would want to understand. For example, STS has a booth in the lobby of the Grand Oasis hotel and a representative is there on site for the kids during the whole time there are there. STS, you really should advertise this as both parents and kids would feel relieved knowing that there is someone on site if they are any problems. STS planned and organized a few off resort activities that were well organized and very much enjoyed. They have a good procedure in place for the kids to reenter the States with their Covid tests and travel docs and shuttle times all done 24 hours bf their flight at the hotel. The STS representatives I spoke to on the phone calls had good answer so there were no surprises on vacation week. STS cannot be responsible for the quality of the food at every buffet at every hour, or things of that nature, but I believe my kid was in good hands with good procedure in place for a week in Cancun.

One of the employees came by with 4 different sticker options from me to choose from for free! This was so kind of them! Sunsail was very professional from the get go. They had an answer to all my questions, and were pretty accommodating. We made a couple changes to the itinerary in shortly before our vacation and everything turned out just fine. I was a little worried about our arrival, but it went off without a hitch. Seriously, this is a top notch outfit that charters sailboats all around the world. The skipper we hired through Sunsail was one of the best "guides" I've ever had. He was a local guy and knew all the in's and out's. On more than one occasion, he was able to get us a mooring and a good meal. This just shows that Sunsail employs and contracts out to only some of the best people and guarantees good fun for all. The only downsides, our boat was a little older. This is fine by itself, but when the whole point of shore power is to charge the battery and run electrics when you're plugged in, and you can't... it's at the least inconvenient, at the most, pretty damn annoying. Their website is also a little lacking in information. While informative, there were a few times I wanted answers that should have been on the website but I had to e-mail them instead. All-in-all, a great company. Do your research, as there are lots of charter companies wherever you sail and they're probably all good. But this was my first time and I wanted to go with a big outfit - and their prices were all in line with smaller companies.
