I often buy from Vinyl Consumption, which has the absolute displeasure of being inside this establishment. The 14-year-old girl who works in the front is hostile and has yelled at customers for seemingly no reason. I hesitated to review it, but she has a new issue every time I come in. If it's not about her parents, it seems to be about her sister or a friend. She is hateful and has a nasty attitude with almost all customers. It looks like she is never working and instead is on the phone or taking a smoke break somewhere else inside the establishment. (Yes, I have seen her e-vape first hand, and I am unsure if she is even of legal age since she appears so young.) I've wondered why they have never fired her, but she seems to be the owner's daughter. Yippee. I have read some of these other reviews, which are spot on, and have determined that if you can, try to go on a day when the 14-year-old girl is not working. I'm not sure why they even have someone so young and emotionally unstable at the front counter. Business would be better if they brought the older girl back (an employee they had before this one). She was always welcoming and offered to help me find my records when I couldn't read the letters. She was such a pretty, welcoming girl, but it seems they traded her for a tiny brat. read more

Purchased an item on October 15th. That was fine. Passed by on Monday, October 21st, saw the business door open, and two vehicles in front. I thought that they might be open, so I stopped to get an item for my friends in Salt Lake City that I had seen before. Before I had even got out of my car, the proprietor, Jackie, accosted me shouting that they were closed, and to go away. I had to open my car door and partially step out to hear what she was saying. She continued to berate me for daring to stop in their business parking lot. I asked if she could make an exception to sell me the item since they were at the store doing something. That made her even more angry, so I got back in my car to leave. She then walked toward the front door saying something about her husband. Then, suddenly, her husband, Jason, stormed out, stopped at the back of their vehicle, and shouted, "What the (blank) is your problem!" The situation then deteriorated further with Jackie and Jason cursing and insulting me for being there. Jason then threatened to beat-me-up, and to get his pepper spray. I responded by asking if I should call the police? Jason then went back inside the store. Jackie rushed in and back out with her phone to make a pointless video of my standing in the driver's doorway of my car. I am dumbfounded at how anyone this rude, mean, and unwelcoming could run a business for even a day without going broke. Even if they had the Hope Diamond on sale for $10.00 I wouldn't again patronize their business or buy anything from them. read more

Past Present is a really good sized indoor flea with a nice varied selection. Loads of mid century items as well as traditional antiques and folk finds. The only bad news is that I was just passing thru with limited space in my car. I'll be back! read more

On 04-12-25, it was 4:30 in the afternoon, as soon as my grandson and I walked in, a young girl, automatically told us she closes down the outer vendors' booths at 4:45. Not a problem, we proceeded to look around found two beautiful pieces, the young girl comes to us and says you have 5 minutes, before I close the outer shops. With that, there was no point in looking anymore. I took the pieces up and right away the young girl says "are you guys ready?" I said, "well we kind of have to be." The girl got upset made a tsk sound and said "you don't have to take these, and you can leave." I was in shock and tried to explained, well you didn't have to come back and tell us again, and now we're ready." She then told me, "I don't need your attitude and you can leave." I thought I was going to talk to a more reasonable adult, I didn't know the older person was her mother. I asked for the girls' name and right away the older person, says "no, you don't need her name, she's my daughter and I heard everything you said. We have rules to implement and you...", I went on to tell her well, she's rude, she doesn't have to keep coming over to us, and she interrupted me and said again " We have rules to implement...I told her "you are so rude". She then went on to say, "fine, you don't want to listen...". She then closed the front door on my face. It was still 4:45 pm, she shoved the door in my face and locked the door. The young girl was so rude. Apparently, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. The mother is just as rude and unforgiving, notice, I do not call either of them 'a lady'. It really is too bad their VENDORS are losing business due to their inability to be decent and show better customer service. There are far more decent and friendly staff at other antique shops in Albuquerque. Spend your money elsewhere. read more

My mom and I went to this antique store and had a great time until we asked if my mom could use the restroom. The store owner said they didn't have a restroom. This isn't an unusual answer for many businesses but my mom has a medical condition and the appropriate medical card. I said that we have the medical card to use the restroom and cashier responded that it is a private business and they have a private restroom. I responded by saying that legally, if presented with the card, they have to allow us to use the restroom and you can check this law, called Ally's law and adopted in New Mexico in 2011, here: https://www.nmlegis.gov/sessions/11%20regular/bills/house/HB0399.html#:~:text=%2D%2DAn%20employee%20of%20a,%2D19%2D1%20NMSA%201978 Rather than let us use the restroom, the cashier told a male coworker about our situation and he immediately began screaming at us about how awful this side of town is and how many people use drugs in the restroom and a tale about their hardships. I said that must really suck and that I'm sorry to hear that, but I'm curious what the actual law says in response to the medical card that would deny a person with a medical card from using the bathroom. He continued to scream about how someone he knew was shot in the eye(?) and finally a third coworker came running from across the other side of the store to yell and kick us out saying that we were "causing a scene" even though we never raised our voice. We left the store and she said "go visit my dispensary and have a joint"(?) Listen, I can only imagine what they have to put up with, but it was a weird experience that escalated quickly. OWNERS ARE EXTREMELY UNWELCOMING and they were breaking the law by not allowing an individual with a medical card to access the bathroom. read more

Called the police. Young girl helped me. Nice. Rang me up. Charged my gift card. Started helping someone else. I asked if she was going to give me a bag. She said after she helped the other customer. Said don't huff at my daughter and proceeded to take my items kick me out of the store and said she was putting a refund on my gift card its a visa gift card and she actually charged it again. Vendors that use this flea market might want to move. They lost 75.00 worth of business. There was a Michael Jackson Vinyl that has been there since last year 36.00 and some Christmas items from the vendor directly in front of the register. You all lost out. I am sorry. Went in to shop today and asked to used the restroom before I started shopping. The owner said "No Public Restrooms" So I said I would leave and went to another store to use their restroom. Came back and told the owner that is was really sad that customers were not allowed to use restroom. I can understand if it is a homeless person who might mess it up - but she rudely said she was tired of cleaning up messes and it was her store and she could do what she wanted. And told me to leave because I stated my opinion. And I was not allowed to come back to her store. I have been a good customer in the past. But I can tell you now I WILL NEVER GO BACK AND WILL LET MY ANTIQUE friends not to shop there too. I love this shopping in this store! I came here not long after they opened and they have expanded twice over the last couple of years because they run a very nice friendly and helpful business. They take care of their vendors by having a clean, well staffed and secure environment and they take care of their customers by having everything neat, tidy and friendly helpful staff. The floor plan is user friendly, so you can wander at will or follow a path completely through the store so you don't miss anything. It is a antique mall, so every booth is owned by a different vendor and they have the most unique stuff! I especially love the booth where the owner has taken vintage items and re-purposed them into fun functional items like lamps and stools. Wonderful! I found a cobalt blue Limoges plate in one booth and fell in love. I have been collecting them ever since. Most of the prices are great, but it is up to the individual booth owners to set their own prices. The owners have fun sales and ask the vendors to participate, which most of them do, so you can really score some great deals at 15/20 or even 30% off. I have been to the other antique malls and they are either dirty, poorly laid out, not secure or have such high prices I would have to be a lottery winner to buy anything in them. This one is really the best of the best with so many vendors and such a large store. None hold a candle to the variety, cleanliness, great prices and helpful staff! I come back over and over again because there is always something new. Just a heads up for those of you who like to "think about it" for a while, I wouldn't if I were you. I don't dare pass up anything I love thinking I will get it later, because every time I have done that, it was already sold! I would confidently recommend this store to all of my friends and family and have. They love it too and I get kudos for telling them about it! Hooray! read more

I was really excited to try this place and I'm giving them two stars because they look like they could have cool stuff but they were pretty rude when my husband and I tried to go in. They require you use germ x when you go in, which is really refreshing that they are implementing Covid safe practices but unfortunately my baby and I allergic to ingredients in germ x. I offered to use another sanitizer in my car that doesn't cause us to break out in hives but they said it had to be germ x so they lost our business. It's unfortunate because we were looking to get several pieces of furniture for our new home but I guess I'll just drop the money somewhere more accommodating. read more

The owners of this shop racial profile customers. They refuse to let customers walk around with items and forcefully take items up front to cash register area. I witnessed the owners forcefully grab a woman by her purse when she was simply taking cell phone photos of a item. I have witnessed the owners openly fighting with each other and yelling at one another about domestic issues. I wish they would get it together, I enjoyed the booths and the vendors items. Lots of In-Between, a little bit of Past and not much Present can be found in this sprawling antique haven near Lomas and San Pedro. I've just recently started digging into the realm of antiquing around the Duke City, and this place landed at a solid three star for me. The place was clean, sufficiently staffed, and there was plenty of eye candy, but I can't say I found anything that stood out as a steal. And let's face it, if we're on a mission to decorate our homes with antiquity, we're on the lookout for stuff that can bolster the classic conversational dialogue that comes with it. "Wow, where'd you get that lamp/couch/potato skinner/random sign of Betty Boop?" "Why, actually, I found it at this cool antique shop down the street, (insert name)." "Really? Never heard of that place." "Yeah, it's pretty great. And the best part? That lamp/couch/potato skinner/random sign of Betty Boop was only (blank) dollars!" "Only (blank) dollars?" "You bet. Don't you wish you had one?" Anticipate spending a little more than you were bargaining for. And please, oh Lord, please, can somebody tell me why Betty Boop is still a Thing around here? Some of the larger antique/vintage stores can be quite a mess. I happened on this place completely by mistake... sort of. Whenever I see the word "vintage" or "antique" on a sign - my car can't help but to turn around. This place a big warehouse with individual booths. This means that each booth space is individually rented, by individuals, with individual personalities. Some you're going to like and some... not so much. I've been here twice so far with my boys (7 & 12). In most stores we are given the "hairy-eyeball" as they are a whirlwind of "bull in a China shop" energy, but they were welcomed with open arms here- treated like special customers. We ended up buying quite a few vintage pieces of furniture from various vendors along with some other knick-knacks (all because of an unexpected detour from our original destination). So- for those of you who have left a less-than-stellar review, may I suggest the following: (1) If you don't like what you overhear, stop eavesdropping, (2) pointing one finger at someone else, leaves three pointing at you, and (3) if you want cheap, go to Goodwill. read more

This business needs training in customer service! Unfortunately, it is run by very unprofessional people. It is hard to understand why they would want to drive customers away by treating them so badly. I have bought several items there over the past year and have not had any problems. However, recently I put an item on layaway, which I have not done before. I actually put 60% down and then had 30 days to pay the balance of $156. I did not write down the 30 day due date and planned to pay on a Thursday when I get paid, thinking I was OK on the 30 day time frame. On the Monday of the week I planned to pay on Thursday, I got a call from Jackie saying I had until the following day at 6pm to pay off the item or I would lose the $200 I had put down and the item would be taken off layaway. I explained I could not pay until Thursday (less than 48 hrs after the due date) but she refused to extend it and I ended up losing my $200. I can't imagine why someone in business would do something as irrational and hostile as this. Everyone loses by taking this childish attitude, the vendor has to find another buyer and they lost a good customer who will make sure to tell others what a terrible business this is which will discourage more customers from coming to shop. It is difficult to understand the motive behind such bizarre behavior. It makes me wonder about the mental stability of the individual. It is the behavior of an angry bully, not a professional business person. read more

Sent friends here that were looking for a location to be a vendor. My friend was called a F---ing a--hole. I called over there myself because I thought perhaps the owner would like to know that someone in the establishment was treating people so rudely. During the call, I realized it was the Owner, Jacklyn (Jackie), who had been so rude. When I tried to calmly discuss it with her, she denied the exchange, then she copped an attitude, told me it was none of my business. She asked the purpose of my call but promptly hung up the phone on me before I had a chance to explain why I was calling. In the past I have sent others to shop there. Obviously, I will no longer be making that mistake. What I find really ironic is that the website touts excellent customer service and a friendly service. I would have just dismissed this as someone having a bad day, or as an isolated incident, but, if you read the other comments here, you will see that this seems to be a pattern. It is unfortunate that the vendors of Past Present & In Between are leaving their items in the hands of the childish, unprofessional and unbelievably rude owners. I have given PPIB 1 star because Yelp does not allow negative stars. I have been a faithful and loyal customer of PPIB over the last year. On occasion I have seen altercations between the owner and other customers and have thought them to be flukes or the fault of the other customers. I have learned today that not only is the owner not ashamed to argue with customers in front of others, but she is not interested in keeping good business. An item was accidentally knocked off of a shelf and broke near three customers. None of the customers knew how it happened and told the owner as much. She rudely said that she would check the cameras as if reprimanding small children. She then went to her coworker and announced loudly how none of the customers would take responsibility. The camera showed that it was in fact an accident and she informed the customers that she would not be charging for the broken item. She then continued to loudly complain to her coworker about the customers like a gossiping teenager. I was hoping the tension would pass, but she continued to gossip about and glare at the customers making it very uncomfortable in the store. As I have said, I have seen her argue with customers in the past. She and her coworkers are rude and unprofessional. The vendors of this store deserve better representation of their items and the customers deserve service that is professional and courteous. There are plenty of other antique malls in Albuquerque. I strongly suggest you shop at one of those. My experiences at many of them have always been pleasant. In fact I went to another location about a half mile east of Past Present and In Between and purchased two unique items for my home. read more
