I came here with a group of 4 for dinner. We got handmade pasta and traditional Roman style pizza. Everything was delicious (though the pesto was a bit on the salty side). We were seated outside at first and then moved inside since there was a bee flying around us. There was pianist playing inside, and it really elevated the atmosphere.

This place was very good. I would say it's a bit touristy, which I was hoping to avoid. But the food was still very good and I liked that you saw they homemade their pasta. I really enjoyed the artichoke trio. Our server was also really nice and good.

I couldn't leave Rome without trying some authentic pasta and wine, and how funny is it that this place is literally called "Pasta and Wine". I came here with my fiancé and brother in law and we all stuffed our face with no regrets. Our waiter, Diego was so friendly and welcoming. He helped pair a good wine for our pasta and made sure everything was to our liking. Even the manager came in to check in on us to make sure we were having a good time. When life brings us back to Rome, this will be our go-to spot for amazing food and exceptional service. Tutto era delizioso. La vita è bella

Our dinner at Pasta e Vino Osteria in Trastevere was simply unforgettable. From the food to the service to the atmosphere it was everything we hoped for and more. We were warmly welcomed and looked after by Andrei, who was absolutely amazing. Kind, attentive, and full of great suggestions, he made the entire experience feel extra special. As for the food, wow! My children and I shared a few dishes: the lasagna, the fettuccine e vino, and the clams in garlic and white wine sauce. Every single bite was perfection. The lasagna was rich and comforting, the fettuccine silky and flavorful with sausage and pork and the clams were fresh, tender, and packed with garlicy goodness. Simple and amazing. The pasta is made fresh in-house, you can actually watch it being prepared near the entrance, which was such a fun touch for the kids. Prices were more than fair for such high-quality food. 5 stars for this amazing place!!!

Ventured out of my favorite area in Rome last night to try this place. The service is excellent, with no reservations was able to snag a table. There was a pianist inside playing classics and I was told that he is there Monday-Thursday. It made for a very nice ambiance. Now onto the entree, I had the Fettuccine with Carbonara Sauce. Listen, I don't consider myself a snob but I must say it isn't the best I have tried. The sauce was creamy but way too salty. The guanciale was too over cooked empowering a bitter taste to the meal. Overall, it's a cute place with a variety of authentic dishes that are just 3 stars worth in my opinion. Next I ordered dessert. It was a tiramisu (pictured). It was definitely made to order. But that alone won't bring me back. There is free wifi, if you're touristing. That's a plus!

Where to begin..... my husband and I first discovered this place 2 years ago while on a very extended stay in Rome. We ate here several times and tried different dishes each time we came. The food was always fresh and delicious along with the a wonderful helpful! Everything is made fresh and to order. You can even watch them thruout the day making pasta! Well, 2 years later we are back for an extended stay again. The food is just as amazing as before! This is not touristy food! This is authentic Italian food! You will not be disappointed!

This was okay. I had the ravioli with the nonna sauce which I thought was good and my husband had the spaghetti with mussels which he said was good. Good but not blown away for either dish. We also had the Greek salad and had a bottle of house wine. This all came to $71 euros. For the price I'd say we've had better meals in Rome for almost half the price, hence the 3 stars. The service was fine, quick and food good, I'd just say spendy for what you get.

service wasn't amazing, maybe because me and my friends were american, but the food was pretty good. you HAVE to get the tiramisu, one of the BEST things i've eaten in italy so far. it makes the restaurant a 10/10 alone

Fresh made pasta after order. It's located not far from the Santa Maria church but not a touristy trap. Food are very cheap and big portion. Self service and standing table only.

14 euro plus bread for meat flap.

I want to clarify that this review is for the newly opened sit down location. Located on via della pelliccia. You can't currently find it on maps but it is there. Being a student it took us no time to find what we wanted to order, but after 30 minutes they finally decided to take our order. We had to wave the waiter down multiple times to even get him to do this. The place wasn't even packed it had two people in it and then my table. Then, after ordering a water and a Bresato Manzo with bread we were presented with just cups. Fast forward another 15 minutes and we finally get our water. Now, I expected for the food to take a while because of the quality the first restaurant has, which I adore. We waited another 40 minutes and the food finally came, but instead of being given a delicious meal I was given a salty mud flap and no bread (which cost me extra). I had to once again wave the waiter down to try and get bread... honestly I love the restaurant so seeing this place operate the way it did was a disgrace. I hope they fix there situation but until then I do not recommend the restaurant.

We ordered sea bass fillet rolled in zucchini and honey mushrooms. Fish was tender, soft, and delicious with great seasoning. We also ordered Ravioli with white truffles and it was delicious as well. Ravioli tasted like it was freshly made and it tasted great with truffles. Lastly, we got tiramisu for dessert. This tiramisu was prepared by an artist. Just by looking at the dish, it was very pretty to look at. It was presented on a beautiful plate with thin chocolate cookie on top with sugar decoration and underneath was a creamy white tiramisu. I loved this dish because it was unique dessert with great sweet flavor and great presentation. The service was excellent. Everyone was friendly with great attitude and they are attentive. I think they liked the look on my face every time they brought out the dishes because their presentation was great. Whoever was the Chef that night, I would give him or her an award. We opted for the Roman-style cuisine tasting menu with wine pairings. The service was warm and welcoming, and the ambiance was quiet and romantic. I appreciated the decor, especially the various wine bottles displayed throughout, and I also liked the dishes the food was served on. That said, this restaurant leaned a little too "foodie" for my taste. I also discovered that I really dislike truffles! My husband, on the other hand, enjoyed everything--including my leftovers. The wines were fantastic across the board. I also want to mention the pricing was shockingly affordable for what we got at dinner, which again, included the wine pairing. If you consider yourself a foodie and enjoy creative, thoughtfully prepared dishes, Ristorante Ad Hoc is worth a visit.

Pane e Salame, however, was delicious!!!! On our first day in Rome, my husband and I decided to search for a lunch spot nearby (we were staying near the Trevi fountain), and I found this place had pretty good reviews. We got there about an hour after it opened and requested a seat outdoors. They have a tiny patio across from their entrance, but they fit quite a bit of people in it! We initially wanted to order two sandwiches to try more items, but I'm glad we just shared one - they were big and filling! We also had the small charcuterie board to share which was plenty of food for us both. We shared a bottle of rose, and all in all, we paid under $50 (usd) - what a steal! This was the perfect first meal in Rome. The food was incredibly fresh, the service was great, and the outdoor seating allowed us to experience the streets of Rome. 10/10 - would absolutely go back.

Il posto non era una trappola per turisti, ma devo dire che i sedili nel booth (il tavolo con divanetti) erano scomodi per me, e il locale era un po' piccolo. Scusate se non ho foto. A jazz club for American tourists…read more Okay, there was one Australian lady and a few Chinese. Everyone else was American. Prices are sky-high because this is a soak the tourist situation. Alexanderplatz which is the premiere jazz club in Rome charges $18 euros for a month membership - no cover after that - and $12 per drink. So once you have paid your monthly cover charge, you can hear all the jazz you want for free - or if need be for $12 euros a drink At Alexanderplatz, the performances are legendary with some of the most innovative and technically amazing musicians in Rome. We dropped over $150 euros at Gregory's. We got a perfectly reasonable yeoman guitarist. But nothing like the artistic lions that routinely perform over at Alexanderplatz. Now to be fair, we had dinner at Gregory's and we never eat at Alexanderplatz. The standard "sushi dinner" was perfectly reasonable yeoman sushi. There was so little of it that we both had to order a la carte dishes afterwards. The extra extras seriously expanded the final tab. * * * One argument in Gregory's favor: their bar is extraordinary. The bar at Alexanderplatz is mediocre. Gregory's charges top dollar for its bar offerings, but what they mix and what is in their bottles is worth every single euro they ask for. I would be perfectly happy to just go to the bar, and order a few premium beverages. I would hear my wallet cry. But I would know that I was drinking supremely well in return for my investment. Fortunately, the bar is downstairs from the club. I would not have to put up with the shenanigans in the club. * * * The problem with the club is the crowd. At most, one third of the customers are actually there to listen to jazz. The room is filled with tourists taking selfies. There are also hot-daters playing snuggle-buns. Many of them will leave mid-set so they can go back to the hotel. Gregory's is less about the music and more about selling happy memories of Rome. * * * Alexanderplatz gets a mostly Italian crowd. You are looking as musicians, music critics, academics, and all purpose artsy types - as well as normal Italian human beings who just want to hear fine music. The music is taken very very seriously. Yeah, there are usually two or three tables with good time Charlies who are doing the phone recording, party hearty thing. But this is 8% of the audience at Alexanderplatz as opposed to 70% of the audience at Gregory's. To be fair to the crowd at Gregory's, the music at Alexanderplatz is simply better. The jazz at Alexanderplatz is capable of transfixing even philistines with tin ears. Gregory's jazz doesn't put that much on the table. But the crowd at Alexanderplatz sets me up for listening to mystic, complex music with the highest level of attention and aesthetic receptiveness. The crowd at Gregory's just gets me irritated. * * * If you are in Rome with a hot date, go to Gregory's. Be prepared to shell out the bucks. * * * If you are in Rome with someone who can truly appreciate once-in-a-lifetime musical experiences, take them to Alexanderplatz. After you talk about the music for half an hour after the concert, You can still go back to the hotel. Just figure that the hotel will be the second best part of the night.
