The food, service, and atmosphere were all excellent. Recommend for locals and those just passing through Castle Rock.

Okay... well now... Not what I expected. Honestly in a small town, with a bar named Pasttime, which is the same name of a bar where I live that smells like pee This place is actually refreshing. Clean for a bar. Not a dark dungeon. Heard the food is great but didn't indulge. The bartender Patrick was fantastic. Extremely nice. Attentive and pleasant. Not gunna lie, I know usually 8 times out of 10 small town bars can be full of people who don't like out of towners. But this was not the case as we were respectful and nice. Also for the "Horn-Y Room" *photos included*

Great food. Delicious French dip and club sandwich. Their battered fries are some of the best around

Hawaiian burger with tots. Juicy and delicious!

We decided to explore Castle Rock for Valentine's Day. Winding up at the Pastime at lunchtime, we were initially unsure of our decision. We were clearly being sized up by the locals at the bar when we walked in. Everything changed when our friendly server showed up at our table. Quick to offer beer tastings for the tap, she set us at ease. We ordered the Hawaiian burger and the mushroom/Swiss burger and split them. Wow! The burgers were delicious! Juicy, flavorful... yum. The first and ketchup were average. Tots better than fries. That's the reason for 4 out of 5. We will go back to Castle Rock for those burgers.

    Monday night poker! ;)

Great burgers, home fries and chicken salad! Bartender's always friendly. Drinks are inexpensive and well made!

We…read morespent the better part of a Friday afternoon down at the Cowlitz River - sitting on the beach and walking through the water. We had planned to hit a local pizza joint before coming home as we traditionally have pizza on Friday nights. Planning ahead, I found The Oasis and looking at reviews and pics, decided to try it. Boy ... are certainly glad we did! Looking at it from the outside, it looks more like a regular bar than a family-friendly bar/grill/restaurant. However, there is a sign that says children are welcome. We've got two boys under the age of six and our waitress was wonderful with them. She was friendly to us all, made sure we all had what we needed throughout the night, and was understanding of the "immediate" needs of the kids. Ha! The food was amazing! The pizza was straight out a real Midwestern style of pizza --- with the toppings underneath the cheese! Living most of our lives in IL and MN, we know what's what. The crust was crimped and just perfect - crispy on the outer edges and chewy on the inside. It was also crisp enough on the bottom that the pieces didn't sag or fall apart with picking it up. We ordered two pizzas, one sausage and one just cheese. They both were great. The sausage tasted amazingly fresh and I wondered if they got it from a local butcher, it was so tender and flavorful. With the cheese being spread out all over the top of the pizza (remember, on top of the toppings), it was deliciously golden brown and not overly greasy. We also ordered a side of Mini Corn Dogs for the boys and they both liked them. Which, for those of you with kids, if both give it a thumbs up then you're in business. =) As for tasty beverages, they've got a selection of about 20 or so beers to choose from. We had the Scottish Red Ale and the African Amber. Oh my! They were soooo good. If I didn't have to drive 30 minutes home, I would've definitely gotten a third! We saw on their menu that they offer "take and bake" pizzas as well. After getting just a few slices through our meal, we flagged the waitress down and ordered two pizzas to go. We threw them in the freezer when we got home and have had both since then. They last just fine in the two weeks since we got them (baked at 425 degrees from frozen for about 20-ish minutes). All in all, we had a perfect time at The Oasis Bar. They are, hands-down, the BEST pizza we've had while living in Lewis and Thurston Counties! It's about a 35 minutes drive from home ... but well worth it. We will absolutely be back!

Nice and chill spot with a huge menu. Kid friendly in the restaurant area! We ordered the crispy onion chicken sandwich, chicken bacon ranch wrap, the pulled pork sandwich, and mandarin ginger chicken rice bowl. The chicken sandwich had a little bit of buffalo sauce and we agreed it was super good! 4.8/5! The chicken bacon ranch wrap was pretty good, not the best I've ever had but still a solid wrap! Lots of food and was able to take half of it home. 3.5/5. The pulled pork was pretty solid, 4/5. The least favorite was the rice bowl, not bad but also wasn't all that great, 2.5/5. We tried the huckleberry and raspberry lemonades. Both were decent but nothing to write home about. If I had to guess I would say it was Minute Maid lemonade with bar syrups. 3.5/5 Overall, definitely a sold spot for classic bar food! The people were nice and there was a decent amount of seating with lots of tables for more than 4 people. The menu was huge so I would be interested in stopping by again to try something else out!
