They had hand sanitizer and a mask requirement. Super helpful and knowledgeable staff. They always take the time to really talk through your project and help you make decisions. I wouldn't trust any other store to come close to their service.

Yes, you'll pay more for their paint than you would at say, Home Depot but it is so worth it…read more Don't believe me? Then try it for yourself! Go to Home Depot and show the guy behing the paint counter a swatch of your granite countertop and ask him what color he would recommend considering you have cherry cabinetry. Then, when he's done laughing at you, go to Waters & Brown and show your granite swatch to Sam and Lauren (I think her name is.) That's what I did and they immediately both thought of the same color, Quahog. So much darker than I ever wanted to go but wow, just the right color. Then Sam suggested Oxygen (a pale blue) for the ceiling and a color called America's Cup for the trim. The America's Cup (an off white) threw my husband into fits of worry. Will it be too yellow? Will it look dirty and dingy? Sam, promised it wouldn't and explained why . . . and he was right. So right, that my husband went back and asked him what color we should paint the adjoining hall, Sam made a recommendation and my husband walked out with that color paint. This is the same husband who would gladly spend months deliberating every decision, no matter how minute!!! So it is no exaggeration when I say that Sam may have single-handedly saved my marriage, or perhaps my husband's life because I was ready to either kill or divorce him. So as we decorate our entire home over, all I can say is thank God for Waters and Brown, and thank God for Sam!!!!

I'm not sure why I haven't thought to share my experiences. This is my first review I have ever written. I am as fussy a homeowner that you will find, mitre joints, and finish work [before the paint], are my tell~tales. Simply stated, Bill Fraga and his workers are the most meticulious, conscious driven, full of pride group, I have ever hired. I am 55 years old, recently purchase my third home, (+/- 4900 ft. sq.) and for the past 12 months have completly redesigned our (new to us) home on the ocean. Every detail is executed with pride. The communication with Bill, my wife and myself is effortless, as he is usually answering our questions before we ask. His calm demeanor, vision, honest estimates, and easy approach is what sets him apart from all other contractors we hired in the 90's. In October 2021, Bill agreed to take on the roll of General Contractor, the reason being, beyond our carpentry needs, our ; Excavating, Permitting, Septic, Carpeting, Generator, Electrical, Plumbing, Masonry, Flashing, Gutters, Duct Work, Tiling, Painting, Waste Removal, is overlooked-by, and hired by him. What a true luxury to have the best finish carpentry, framing carpentry, AND all the additional logistics taken care of.... his group of subordinates display the same pride, and courtesy as his crew. The experience has a true family like feeling, which has made our home a show place for our entertaining, family gathering, and every day joy!!!!!! We feel so lucky to have hired KBK..... jus' my thoughts!

I know what you are thinking... that' "I am not you, and you are not me and will go to this store and win them over", no, no you will not. Or maybe you are thinking you don't need help that you will be able to navigate the store without help. You may find what you need, but you still have to check out! And if it wasn't clear while you were shopping that no one cares if you shop there or not, it will be when you check out. I mean it's their last chance to ignore you and have a conversation with someone else. For the reviewer who said that this is really a contractor/professional lumber yard, with a hardware store attached. Yes, yes they are. They are also an Ace Hardware store. Do you remember the ace hardware store jingle? Ace is the place for the helpful hardware man
