I have to say: she possessed GREAT retail skills! She had good verbal communication, attentive to details, knew about the productos/dresses, knew how to multitask, responded to questions while at the register. She was super efficient! When I was searching for an engagement ring for my soon to be wife I shopped around at 10 different stores and locations and no one really seemed to want to help me until I met Diane and Melanie. They helped me pick out the perfect ring in my budget. Unfortunately she lost that ring but Melanie and Diane were right there to help us pick out another. They even helped me pick out a wedding band for myself and Melanie just helped me out with getting an upgrade on it today! They are both so wonderful and I am thankful for that location and all of those who work there.

I showed her the necklace that I was interested in online, and she said that we could not do an exchange, but we had to return the one we purchased and do a separate transaction for the purchase of the new necklace, which was no problem. My boyfriend went to pay and then the computer froze and we did not know if the transaction went through. She said that if it went through, I would have gotten an email. I did not receive an email, so I asked her if I could verify the email that she had on file. Instead of looking at the screen and reading the email off to me, she was looking at me and telling me what email she entered, as if for some reason she was trying to prove that she made no mistake on her end. Turns out that she mistook the "n" in my name for an "m". My boyfriend was being very understanding and just said to do the transaction again and if it turned our that he got double charged then he would dispute the transaction. The second time, she submitted the order it took an additional 10 minutes. We could have ordered the necklace online ourselves, but she said that if it was shipped to the store, that the shipping would be free. So, we agreed to have it shipped to the store. After the second transaction finally went through, she said that I would get a confirmation email. I received an email within a few seconds and double checked it to make sure that everything was correct. Under the shipping information, I discovered that it was being shipped to a store in a different state for pick up. I brought it to the attention to Diane and she said "I changed it four times, I don't know how it got changed back." She got on the phone to call, but the associate at the register next to her told her that she could just call without having me wait. So, once Diane said she would call them right away and have it fixed, I asked her to take down my number and give me a call once she was able to confirm that the change had been completed. She took down my number and said she would call me. The next day, I waited until 12pm. Still no call from Diane. I called the store and asked to speak to Diane. When Diane got on the phone, I told her that I was just following up because I didn't receive a follow up call from her. She responded with "It wasn't done because I couldn't get ahold of anyone." So, if I didn't call to follow up, she was just going to leave it at that? She then said that she would just have it Fed-Ex'd from that store to theirs once it was received by the wrong store. She said this nonchalantly, as if I was just going to take her word that she would have this done. I told her that I needed some kind of confirmation or receipt stating that this would be done so that I could follow my order. It's not like the order was a $100 order. The necklace was $1,100 that was on sale for $700. Once I was adamant that I wanted a confirmation of the transaction, she put me on hold and told me that she would have to talk to her manager. She came back on the phone and said that her manager would be emailing me later that day. I checked my order online and it said that it had not been shipped yet. With as unhelpful as Diane was, I decided to try to resolve the issue myself. After spending 2 hours on the phone, an hour of it being on hold and the other hour waiting to see if they would be able to resolve the issue, I was told that they were not able to change the shipping address. I ended up receiving an email later that evening from Diane's manager stating that she would have it Fed-Ex'd to her store from the wrong store. After getting nowhere trying to resolve the issue that was caused by simply not double checking and confirming the shipping address, I got nowhere so I am just left waiting. What a waste of time and such a bad customer service experience.

I went to get a quote on selling some gold and see if they would buy a diamond ring. I was taken care of immediately. They offered me more than I expected for the ring and were lower on the gold purchase than the previous place I went to but matched the quote I was given. I was really pleased with the service. Everyone was really friendly and easy going. I will definitely go back. I know going to a jeweler is intimidating as you never know who you can trust. I didn't buy anything this trip but based on today's experience, I would feel pretty confident buying something from them.

The store is two level but the second level is connected by switch back ramps. It becomes kid play ground to run around because of this set up. Of course JC Penney's it ain't; the chain focuses mainly upon casual wear, beachwear, low-end resort wear, small household furnishings and travel necessities. All of it, moreover, is tied to the Florida lifestyle as Beall's is a Florida chain. Although there is plenty of choice for the gentlemen in the room, it heavily caters toward the ladies. As I alluded to above: very reasonable prices augmented by clearances and sales. Almost every damn rack, shelf and table had a sale or clearance sign on it, by it, near it or over it. There are also impulse items (eg candy, snacks, etc) by the registers. Finally: all the employees we encountered (about half a dozen in our case) were/are friendly, solicitous and willing to help. No luck. Later I called this Beall's and they had it. Before ringing up my exchange, I checked out the store: bright, clean, and nice displays. I loved wandering the aisles, discovering bargains and finding new things to add to my wanted list. When I checked out, my previous purchase was $2 more - my tee was now on sale! But it was an even exchange. I could have returned it, gotten my $8 back. Then bought the shirt for $6. But I would have had to fInd one on the rack. Too much trouble, and I save so much usually, with sales & extra bucks, that it was fine.
