I would not recommend this doctor to anyone. I hate to say it but this is the worst practice I…read morehave ever dealt with. The appointment alone was strange and unprofessional, post appointment we could barely get a response to questions and when I never received a follow up contact for our first in office visit as promised in our plan I finally called. I was told to pay the next appointment $$ and was pushed forward 2 months. The only thing they were attentive to was processing payments and selling supplements at inflated prices compared to what they could be purchased for online. I was taken in that area for sure. Another issue was with paperwork. We were told we had to file insurance on our own, understandably, yet never received documentation to do so after 4 requests. I still have not received what I need, just a few excuses through email saying they'll get it out soon. Our first visit was Nov 2018 BTW. So strange. Thank goodness we have found a much more professional practice that can help my daughter, meet face to face, and offer true functional medical services as advertised. You get what you pay for and then sometimes you don't! With Cometa Wellness you really don't!

Dr Cometa is a good physician but the appointment times are hard to get and when you are given an…read moreappt time be prepared to wait at least two hours or more. I've been told to call first before coming to see how late the appointment time will be, but I live quite a distance away so that doesn't help me at all. Basically be prepared to block out an entire day. Staff can be quite incompetent at times. Phone calls not returned etc. Dr Cometa also seems to take a lot of "vacations."

I hired Adoption Makes Family to do a home study for me since my placing agency is out of state…read more From the very beginning there was issues with this agency, but I already started the home study process and paid the application fee so I decided to see it through. My very 1st conversation with them, my ability to pay was questioned although my household income in total is not poverty level and is middle class as I am a sole homeowner and my mother lives with me, splitting finances. I explained how I intended to pay for adoption by applying for grants, fundraising, getting a part time job, and borrowing equity if need be. My application was processed but issues continued. I was granted access to their online portal to complete my document collection. My online portal did not have the necessary information, I had to call them multiple times to get a list for a sanitarian and call/email informing them that according to the fire inspector, the agency had to request for me to get an inspection. Information the fire inspector said all agencies know. From there 2 of my reference letters were rejected, nitpicked, and required to be redone. In addition, I had no support. I had to read the list and go do it with no knowledge of the adoption process as this was my first time. The agency was always accessible by phone but our phone calls were very brief and I felt like I was bother a bother. Some very negative things were said to me stating as a single person you face a longer wait time. You could adopt within 6 months, 1 year, 5 years, or never. It was very discouraging. I got all the funds together and my documents in 8 weeks, left it in the mailbox and I was commended for getting everything minus 3 items but then I received phone calls requesting more. The first call was about a missing a clearance, when I expressed confusion, it was said it's in the packet instructions. The packet instructions have 20 to 30 items if not more and I do not understand everything. Maybe some verbal explanation would have helped. They also requested my placing agency information which I provided. The next day they called and the very first issue came back up about finances, as mentioned I am not in debt, I make a good income, am a homeowner, and have no debt like car loans or student loans, etc. I have good finances, but they wanted me to break down how I intend to fund adoption step by step, get a breakdown of fees from my agency, and step by step explain how I intend to raise a child on my income. That was not in the packet. They stated its for the state when they are audited but it didn't sound right. I had a feeling that I wasn't going to be approved no matter what I did because everything I did was an issue. I asked how many people fail with them and they couldn't give me a number. I decided to not move forward, get my documents, my check back and take my business elsewhere. I passed every test, did not fail one yet kept being nitpicked. I had a very bad experience and wasted money and time.

I loved the virtual visit format. It went flawlessly. I appreciated her direct but compassionate style and highly recommend her services!

I wholeheartedly agree with the other poster…read more Rita is an abysmal therapist, and I say this with the experience of good, great, and mediocre therapy sessions. She's the worst I've seen, and also the most expensive. She actually caused active and growing harm in my own addiction recovery and marriage. As you might imagine, the harm in one of those areas fed the harm in the other. Worse, when I pointed this out, she threatened me with more harm and also took glee in the harm she contributed to. So not only does she not provide benefit, she actively harms and when confronted with that, she adds to the harm. In short, she's in the wrong business. She also didn't know many simple facts about alcohol or alcoholism. Specifically, she didn't know how long alcohol metabolites can remain in your urine. That's a simple fact that someone with the claimed specialty should know about. She didn't know about modern, well documented alternatives to AA that have been around for over 20 years. Once again, she's nowhere near an expert on this facet of addiction, although she claims to be. She doesn't listen or retain information that you provide her, even after 5 or so repetitions. So you can get a "diagnosis" based on flawed information because she doesn't listen to any aspects of your situation that make you unique. She has a "one size fits all" diagnosis and recommendation for every issue. Like the other poster said, it's "go to Choices" no matter what. Alcohol, marriage issues, indigestion, stubbed toe, "go to Choices." I went, and Choices was a horrible waste of time and money and I could see how it could cause active damage to vulnerable individuals. On top of all that, she's unprofessional. She constantly arrives late, even up to missing 25% of the session you agreed upon and paid for. She then offers passive aggressive excuses for her lateness. This is habitual. And considering how expensive it is, she should offer a refund or pro rated bill but she doesn't. Which would be fine, but she's ruining lives. When a therapist should help someone fix their life. Steer clear, steer clear, steer clear. Luckily, there are many local alternatives that can and will help you. I can't give a more forceful recommendation to the loved ones and supporters of those with issues: stay away. There's a distinct chance that Rita will add to exacerbation of the problem(s) at hand. Luckily, luckily, luckily, there are local alternatives that can provide the help that you or your loved one might need. Please find them.
