When I informed the handling rep, whose been nasty nice, combative, dismissive and not delivering on our agreements and such, I was told this wasn't a good fit and was dismissed from the program. The lack of accountability as well as not properly doing intake from the start has caused a domino effect. If you only need mental health services, this may be a good fit. If you're ìn a real life crises situation and need services immediately, contact DHS ònline or by phone and it'll be expedited more quickly than this PRP service can provide. Of all the things outside of getting a therapist, I did the leg work on my own for everything else this organization claims to assist with but failed to deliver: applying for emergency food stamps, TDAP, utility grants, housing, etc. Thankfully, I've worked in Case Management and the non-profit sector for many years, so that experience as well as my current volunteer work with a local non-profit organization has provided me with the information ℹ needed. Again,if you're in active need of someone to assist you with your needs with compassion, focus, timely follow-up,this service provider doesn't have enough staff to support the needs of it's clientele and it shows, unfortunately. My handling rep was very much open to my suggestions on other services that would be helpful in improving clients' quality of life, but was not open in receiving constructive critique on my overall experience. Thankfully, I'm fortunate enough to have my own network of people, both personally and professionally that have been able to offer more assistance than what was promised but not delivered from Healthy Hearts & Minds. Hopefully, this changes moving forward, but for now, my experience with this is that this service provider's lack of follow-through added more stress to my situation than I needed at a time like this. I feel it would benefit the business to hire people who are well-versed in mental health disorders, grief, proper people handling, documentation, customer service, follow-up, and trust building. Mistakes happen, but accountability is more than apologies without change. Establishing realistic timeliness for what can and cannot be delivered is a must in order for clients to trust their sensitive information and needs are being prioritized. There's no need for a middleman otherwise. Not every client is unknowledgeable about how these systems operate. Not every client is unaware of snide, sideways remarks. Treating people as disposable in times such as these is very much what we're witnessing in the world as a whole, so to link with an agency that claims to provide assistance but abuses the very people who it claims to serve is not only disheartening, but it's very much violent and self-serving. I hope that this improves moving forward, but as it stands, this experience has proven to be a waste of time in a time of my life when time is of the essence. Compassion, genuine empathy, wasn't my experience and that saddens me.as someone who has helped grow small businesses, and as a business owner myself. Effective service and leadership leads with curiosity rather than assumptions. Feedback should be welcomed and taken into careful consideration rather than excuses, lack of accountability, and combativeness. Anyone who can't take Feedback without being defensive, probably should unpack the ways in which they project their own issues with owning their actions. Mistakes allow us room to grow if growth is really the goal here rather than the need to be right and self-serving. It's giving power trip and insecurity, which has no place in a professional environment as business is always personal and this damages the brand's reputation.

My surgeon had an estimated cost as he recommended Dr. Brady. At the start of the appointment, Dr. Brady confirmed that my visit would be about $150, and I had to agree to this before the session. He was nice. Asked basic questions and then said I needed to come in and fill out a couple questionnaires. I set a time to come to the Lutherville location the following week. When I arrived, they didn't seem to know I was coming. They rounded up most of the papers I needed to complete. They were scantron and multiple-choice questions. They stuck me on a tv tray in the front lobby, as people entered and exited around me, and I did the paperwork. Weeks later the bill arrived. It was $1200 (and after the insurance, over $700) 7x what they quoted me at my appointment. Obviously I would never have agreed to this outlandish fee for the service I received. I agreed to the $150 estimate. Not a $750 estimate. I contacted the billing department (Alice) about the discrepancy. I was told they called and got the preapproval for a different type pf appointment, and that they were "sorry, and will work to ensure it doesn't happen in the future". They did nothing to work with me, as THEY are the ones who made the error. They responded to my inquiry about this with a "tough luck" attitude and said they were not going to change anything so I need to accept that. They took 4 months to even submit a claim to the insurance, and that was after I had to reach out again to ask when it would be submitted. For a "mental health" service, this seems like terrible customer service, and could easily cause more issues with a person who was already struggling. The doctor was nice enough, but I would never recommend this place, their billing practices are terrible and I will be filing a formal complaint with the correct government agency for their "surprise billing" and unethical charges.

My son had an issue that needed to be addressed through counseling, so after speaking with his doctor, I was given a referral list with Oasis on it. I called all of the places referred (5 of them), and Oasis was the only one taking new patients during the pandemic, which left me in a bind. I gave all of my insurance and personal information to the women on the phone and was given the time/date/doctor that my son would need for his session. On the day of the session, I hadn't received a Zoom Link, so I called Oasis. I spoke to a young lady named Brianna P., and she told me to go to the patient portal and complete the questionnaire. After completing the portal questions, I heard nothing. I received no Zoom link and received no follow-up correspondence. My son, who was already nervous, was disappointed about his counselors' failure to appear. Three weeks passed, and we still heard nothing from Oasis until we received a bill. The bill was a 25 dollar charge for a missed appointment that we never received the information for. Moreover, they billed my son instead of me!!! I have worked with counselors for year's and never have I seen a business physically bill an 8-year-old. After looking on Yelp, I now see that this business needs a total overhaul. I did manage to call the billing department, and a very nice woman rescinded the charge. I emailed Brianna P. with my issue and her supervisor, and no one has contacted me to this day. Please stay away from this place. The reviews are warranted, and this is not how to conduct business with individuals that are already experiencing traumatic events. Oasis is creating additional stress and drama that is not needed in these times.

During that time, I repeatedly requested basic parental updates and care coordination and did not receive meaningful communication for an extended period. I later learned that my son had made statements involving self-harm and substance exposure, yet I was not notified for weeks after those statements were reportedly made, despite having shared legal and physical custody and being responsible for his care half the time. I also became aware that third parties were involved in communications related to my son's care without my knowledge or consent, which raised serious concerns for me as a parent regarding boundaries, transparency, and parental access. After requesting records and clarification, responses were delayed and inconsistent, and I was told that my minor child would need to authorize the release of his own medical information, which further complicated my ability to participate in his care. Parents considering this practice should ask very clear questions up front about communication policies, parental access to information, and how safety-related disclosures are handled.
