The masseuse, Pernille Stephens had a lot of professional certifications on the wall. the massage was 'fair' at best. She asked me what areas were needing the most attention, and i told her my shoulders and back. she spent around 30 minutes combined on the shoulders and back. she was a great person to talk with, until i dozed off from the massage. it was very soothing, however i was awoken a few times by her coughing...(like a sick cough). I knew she wasn't covering her mouth, as both hands were being used to massage me. (kinda skeeved by that). What also bothered me was when i looked up, i saw her cell phone on, and she was watching a video on there, and had a earpiece in her ear to listen to the video. there were times where she was just standing there, then would gasp then go back to doing the massage. There were also times when she would work on other body parts (such as my arms or legs) and it was specifically told not to (had surgery on my knee), and she was quite rough on those areas...made me wince a few times. I didn't get a massage here so I can't rate that…read more Here's my story: I was gifted a gift card to this establishment for my birthday and was very excited to use it. They use a third party website to purchase gift cards. On this site, you have to sign up/create an account and book an appointment. When you get to the payment part, there is no option to use a gift card. Instead, they ask you to enter your credit card information. Why should I have to enter my credit card information if I have a gift card, especially as that was the sole purpose of having to sign up to use the gift card and schedule an appointment. That was the first red flag for me. So I thought, let me call them instead and book the appointment since the site doesn't seem to have an option to select that I have a gift card I want to use. What I didn't want to happen is I enter my credit card information and then go for my massage just to be told I have to pay with my credit card and that they wouldn't somehow recognize or even accept my gift card. This turned out to be the case. When I make the phone call, I explained I had a gift card and that I want to make an appointment. I was told to just come in and I tried to clarify if it's better to make an appointment or just walk in (people that were walking in were being told they would have to come back in an hour/45 minutes as they didn't have people avaiable). The man on the phone kept saying to come in multiple times and at some point changed his mind and said that appointment is better. I tell him what time I want to come in the next day but it doesn't seem like he really takes note of that as he didn't really ask for my information. The next day I go in just to be told that they don't accept gift cards and do not have any record of a gift card purchase and that I should get a refund. I showed them a copy of the digital gift card and also mentioned to them that they have a link on their website that allows people to buy gift cards and there wasn't really any acknowledgement of that. I told them that they might want to take that down if they don't accept gift cards as payments. They asked me if I still wanted to have a massage appointment and I declined.
