I was very disappointed in my experience. I didn't get a massage here so I can't rate that. Here's my story: I was gifted a gift card to this establishment for my birthday and was very excited to use it. They use a third party website to purchase gift cards. On this site, you have to sign up/create an account and book an appointment. When you get to the payment part, there is no option to use a gift card. Instead, they ask you to enter your credit card information. Why should I have to enter my credit card information if I have a gift card, especially as that was the sole purpose of having to sign up to use the gift card and schedule an appointment. That was the first red flag for me. So I thought, let me call them instead and book the appointment since the site doesn't seem to have an option to select that I have a gift card I want to use. What I didn't want to happen is I enter my credit card information and then go for my massage just to be told I have to pay with my credit card and that they wouldn't somehow recognize or even accept my gift card. This turned out to be the case. When I make the phone call, I explained I had a gift card and that I want to make an appointment. I was told to just come in and I tried to clarify if it's better to make an appointment or just walk in (people that were walking in were being told they would have to come back in an hour/45 minutes as they didn't have people avaiable). The man on the phone kept saying to come in multiple times and at some point changed his mind and said that appointment is better. I tell him what time I want to come in the next day but it doesn't seem like he really takes note of that as he didn't really ask for my information. The next day I go in just to be told that they don't accept gift cards and do not have any record of a gift card purchase and that I should get a refund. I showed them a copy of the digital gift card and also mentioned to them that they have a link on their website that allows people to buy gift cards and there wasn't really any acknowledgement of that. I told them that they might want to take that down if they don't accept gift cards as payments. They asked me if I still wanted to have a massage appointment and I declined. read more

I've had really bad neck and shoulder pain for a while now and really wanted a chair massage. I looked all over Roswell and Alpharetta, and finally found New You, which had a picture under services of a chair massage. I called, and they said they did chair massages and they had availability so I went over. I told him that I wanted the chair massage. I was led to one of the foot massage chairs and told that this was the same thing. I was like no. I want a chair massage like in this picture because I had bad neck and shoulder tightness, and they assured me that this was better. Then my masseuse started doing a full body massage. I explicitly asked for my shoulders and my neck. Essentially, I just paid the exact same price for just a private full body massage, but with the added benefit of being fully clothed in the middle of a public room. So now I feel like I have rug burn from my clothing, and I couldn't fully relax. My masseuse was very nice. And when he was working on my neck, he did a good job, but this was not at all what I asked for or what I needed. For paying full massage price, I would have gone to a spa or gotten one of the rooms. She even called yesterday to confirm the appointment and gift card and they said come in! come in! She shows up and is told no gift cards allowed and to cancel her appointment. If you prefer the same therapist every time or appreciate a business keeping its promises when you book an appointment, avoid this place at all costs. The guy at the front desk will give away your reservations if it benefits him. We brought two family members one night and he asks if we can come back in 45 minutes! Four appts. Tonight we arrived for our appointments and he asks us to wait 10 minutes. Not a big deal. Then he proceeds to ask if we prefer different gender therapists. No. Then says "couple room, right?" NO, we always ask for separate rooms. Final straw: he just jacked his prices 20% so a 90 minute massage went from $100 to $120. We used to pay $72 in CA. So much for things being cheaper in GA. I've been here twice--Tiffany was my therapist the first time and Alan (although the gentleman that booked it kept saying Annie), so just know if he says Annie, it's Alan. Honestly I was disappointed Tiffany and Bella weren't available because of all their great reviews and then Kenny wasn't either, but Alan was great! He didn't speak English but it was fine since the pressure was great and I felt like he really knew what he was doing. The prices seem fair for the area (I miss CA prices!) but it's very worth it to me and I'd much prefer reflexology over a fancy spa experience. I have long standing chronic neck pain. I've had conventional and holistic treatment, and usually find combining these elements of healthcare work well together. Yesterday I underwent TPI and was feeling terribly stiff and achy. I searched for a place to go and landed on New You (they were the only place with availability). I arrived and explained that I needed more than the average 30 minute chair massage, and combined for 45 minutes. I was under the care of Jessica (or Jessia) and I almost cried. This skillful masseuse instinctively knew that I needed a very strong and deep massage. And she ended with my neck. I whined when it was finished because I had never felt so good. And once I sat up she stood behind me and messaged my neck for another couple of minutes. I have no idea if that is typical, or she knew the sheer level of arthritis and muscular pain I walked in with. Relaxing massages are great but that's not what I need, and I didn't even have to explain that. She was so lovely and skillful. I was so appreciative and pleasantly surprised they were so accommodating! The staff is so friendly - they all greeted me with smiles upon arrival. Right away, I was ushered into a quiet, clean room for my 90-minute massage. I communicated my trouble spots to the massage therapist. Chinese is the primary language spoken here, but we were able to understand each other well enough - smiles are universal, too, right!?! I wanted more of a therapeutic massage versus relaxation and that is exactly what I received. I walked out of New You feeling like New Me! I paid $90 plus tip for my session. That's very fair. The prices were clearly displayed at the counter, but also I confirmed the price when I called to schedule. There were no surprises. I have a membership to a local massage business, but it is difficult to schedule massages. I'm an event planner and just completed two large back-to-back events - meaning long hours on my feet. I was in the shopping mall at one of the stores and noticed this massage place. It had some great Yelp reviews, which lead me to give it a try. The gentleman at the front desk was very helpful. He was able to squeeze me on the schedule as a walk-in. I chose the 90 minute package - 60 minutes full body massage and 30 minutes foot massage. It was absolutely wonderful. The room was clean. The massage therapist did a phenomenal job. I asked for medium pressure and he maintained that throughout the entire session. I had a lingering tailbone issue that my chiropractor hasn't been able to fix. She did such a wonderful job the pain is now completely gone. The hot stones and towel was a nice touch. She didn't use too much lotion, also a plus! I hate leaving a massage feeling like I have a bottle of lotion on my body! My only recommendation would be adding soft music in the room to help drown out some of the noise. read more

I've been going to New You Massage off and for the last couple of years. My last visit was a month ago. When I walked in for my appt today, I saw that they raised their prices $10 across-the-board. There was no mention on their website about any price changes. I asked the manager about it and all he did was laugh. Decent business practice usually calls for a gradual increase, not a whopping $10 price gouge. Their new rates are higher than the competitors in the area. To make matters worse, my regular masseuse Bella did not do a good job. She seemed to be just going through the motions. My massage was very underwhelming. This was disappointing because she is usually better than that. So, What's going on? They raise the price and the service gets worse?! There are so many other massage therapy businesses in the area. One day, I walk in and I ask what is the difference between acupressure and sport massage. The staff is unprofessional toward me and all they want to do is to put me into the room immediately. Firstly, you cannot answer me this question . The masseuse cannot communicate in English. The lady asked me to take off my clothes and rush to massage my back. I pause and ask her before she start to give me a hard massage. Man! She cannot understand English and she asked me if I wanted medium or soft and I said I want it hard because I have a pain from my left shoulder. she said I cannot do hard. She walk out and grab someone that speaking English, taking more time and want to charge me extra for something that I get every where else. The facility is very nicely appointed and the massage rooms (at least the one I was placed in) are very comfortable. Most importantly, the quality of the massage was superb (and I do have experience with massage spas on cruise ships and in fine hotels).
