honestly they did just what i could ask of an urgent care, they were pretty quick considering there were some others in the lobby. receptionist and doctor were really sweet and helped me out considering i've never been to urgent care alone before. The nurse could've been nicer but we all have bad days and i was sure having one being so sick. They prescribed me medicine for everything i needed and sent me on my way pretty quickly.I can't say i'm dissatisfied with the service at all! I feel like this is a kind of place that most folks get an average experience from and only those who were really dissatisfied felt the need to write a review. My 18 yo daughter went to the clinic complaining of elevated heart rate all day long, fever, sensitivity to light, all over body aches, especially back,neck and head. She has a h/o SVT which she told the doctor. Strep, Covid, Flu tests were done. My daughter has had the flu before but these symptoms were different. I was worried it could be meningitis and spoke to the doctor and voiced my concerns. She said that it was not a concern and that a flu test had a "faint line" so she has the flu and would be prescribed Tamiflu. She said if I was concerned about meningitis that "You're more than welcome to go to the ER for a work up" She dismissed my concern of her elevated heart rate and said that's normal when someone is sick. I didn't trust her diagnosis so I sent my daughter to the ER. I'm glad I did. They hooked her up to an EKG, took a chest X-ray, did blood work in addition to a Covid and flu test. She ended up having pneumonia, not the flu . She needed an entirely different medication. As a mother whose child is away at school, it can be very upsetting when they are sick and you can't be there for them. My daughter could barely move. Receptionist is a miserable person & wants everyone to feel the same. Both the overhead radio & TV were playing (a headache - inducing cacaphony in the waiting area), resisted muting either. This location has a low standard for customer service. I always go to patients first for their prompt friendly service, but the Appleyard location is a poor example of the service I'm accustomed to. I write this from the waiting room of the Lake Ella location, where customer service is lovely as always. read more

This place is staffed by the most unprofessional and incompetent group of people I have ever felt with at any medical facility. As a government contractor it's normal to do random drug screens. You can not leave while waiting and you can not miss a screening or it may be considered the same as positive result. These guys said they were ready and had me come there to do the screening. I can ready to give a sample. These guys screwed up the paperwork and the order. Couldn't get things right. While I held back my sample for over four hours. I was in excruciating pain for over two of those hours. Keep in mind that if I was unable to give a sample or if i left I could lose my career. They made it clear that they didn't care if I did the exam or not and that they didn't care that I had been painfully holding it for four hours. I know that urgent care leaves doctors pressed for time, but a little bit of tact would be appreciated. I am currently looking for a general physician and I decided to try out Appleyard due to a bad sore throat and check it out. The front desk receptionist was very helpful and professional, but after I got back to the exam room, everything changed. Living with a med student, I know exactly what is expected of a doctor in terms of tact. Needless to say, I am never returning to this location. read more

The Patients First on Appleyard is the most unprofessional doctor's office I could have ever imagined. The customer service over the phone is a joke, and even worse in person. I was treated without an ounce of respect by the receptionists and would never return. Do not make an appointment here your experience will not be positive. read more

The lady at the front desk is very rude and ignorant. I have never encountered such a disrespectful person in a working environment, when she had no reason to be whatsoever. I was already feeling sick enough and after my visit with the doctor (who was great and very helpful) I had asked her a question about whether or not I could change a medication due to insurance not covering it. She replied with "I'm not a doctor" and she walked back to her desk... I was left standing there dumbfounded at her response. Then I had to go back a couple days later to obtain a doctors note for work. My boss had specifically told me that I needed clearance to resume my normal duties on the following Monday. However, after waiting twenty minutes when there was only one other person in there, she would not fill in that part of the note for reasons unknown other than she did not want to be bothered to go ask the doctor about the situation and left me feeling stupid that I had asked for that request. I have no idea how this lady has a job at this proffessional office and I would highly suggest that the owner of this medical center gets rid of her ASAP. It's a shame that one bad (and very rotten) apple can take away from the very helpful and friendly attitudes of the nurses and doctors, and make the overall experience terrible. Referred for minor worker's compensation injury very recently. Receptionist was ok but wait times are bit slow. Have been asked to return 3 times for followup and at last visit was somewhat unsatisfied with the answers given by the doctor and asked for more information. I felt the doctor's attitude, facial expressions and explanations were condescending, I am over 50 and his expressions and attitude seemed more conducive to a speech to a student in an elementary class. Unfortunately I am stuck going here until I can submit paperwork with my employer to select another doctor but I would never select this location voluntarily for any reason. read more
