The front door has been on our list for a long time. I went to 4 different companies to quote the project. One company said they wouldn't do it because of the complexity. One said it would take 6 months to get a specialty door ordered and they wanted half the money up front. So basically paying thousands of dollars for a door I won't see for the better part of a year. Pass. The other company said they would need to rip the door off before they could give me a quote. Nightmare all around. Broadview was able to provide a reasonably priced quote and a 3 month lead time that ended up collapsing down to 2 months! I communicated with Ed for the sale and contract. My installation team was Randy, Bart, and Jamie. Absolutely stellar crew. Outstanding craftsmanship that exceeded my expectations. I did not think we'd get that door centered on the opening due to complexities of the HVAC and structure of the original door vs the new door. It looks marvelous like it was meant to be there, centered, correct size and color. One of the guys said they've been doing this for 42 years and this was the second hardest door he's done. And the only reason he could do it is because he worked in New England where all the homes were old. They also installed 3 layers of insulation because our door had none. Like I said, the list for this home never ends. Grateful for the team, their pristine attention to detail and their commitment to craftsmanship. We are thrilled with our new door!

I am also attaching pictures of the caulk job and the damage that was done below the window. Overall with this experience I would not recommend this company. I had ordered windows in September of 2021 and still have not had them installed as of 1/29/2022. The second week of December 2021, I had called to see where the windows were and how much longer it would be until install. It took 3-4 days in order to get an answer. The receptionist would constantly put me over to people who had no idea what was going on and would promise to give me a call back, which would never happen. The Week before Martin Luther King Dr. Day, I finally get a call from who I think is the owner who said that they have my windows, and they could install next day. Unfortunately I work in health care and it is almost impossible to get off at that short of notice, which is something I feel like this person could not grasp. We settled for Martin Lurther King Jr. Day because I was off work. Unfortunately I was scheduled for install in the morning and we had 4-6 inches of snow and according to the owner they had the truck which was stuck in Delaware. No big deal, these things happen and I would feel awful if someone got into a traffic accident or hurt, and said that he was very sorry and would try to reschedule on a Saturday, which was something they rarely do. He said he would call up a team and would call me back to confirm. Never did call me back pertaining to scheduling on a Saturday. I am now suppose to get them installed the second week of February, we will see if it actually happens this time. Overall I have been very underwhelmed with the communication of this company and at this point the amount of money paid is not worth the service, especially one that I have yet to receive almost half a year later

I had an egress window installed by this company. 4 days after install the window was leaking from…read morerain that day. It was a fairly light rain that day and the window was leaking around the caulking. There were two spots in the caulking which were spurting water onto the basement floor and the wall where this egress window was installed was not leaking and showed no signs of ever having leaked. Window well they dug was holding water and not draining properly. I contacted the person using the number on their website via text, they wanted pictures of the outside during the rain. I sent the photos and heard nothing else. 4 days later, more rain and more water in the basement due to the window. I contacted the person again and they wanted more pictures, which I took and sent. I spoke to the person over the phone on a Friday and was finally able to get them to agree to come back out and work on the issues in two weeks. I sent a text 1.5 weeks later on a Wednesday asking if the people would be out the following week like we discussed. No response. I sent another text 2 days later asking if they were able to come and if not requested we start talking about a refund. They asked when waterproofing was going to be done and I let them know it was still 5 weeks out. In the last conversation I had with the person at this company told me I would not have had these issues if I had my basement waterproofed. When I first made contact and on their website there was no mention of this being a requirement for their egress window. In the end I was refused a refund and had to hire another company to come out, rip out the work this company did and install their own egress window. In comparison I have not had any water issues in the basement with the newly installed egress window. The business owner has even hidden my google review after I refuted their comment about doing business with me by posting the confirmation they sent me via text from their business phone number. I hope this platform will not take down a honest recount of my interactions with this business. I cannot recommend using this company for egress window installation, thus the 1 star rating.

The patio is not level in a couple areas and the custom stamp and cuts they made in the patio were not lifted up causing a bubble like look. Also, while completing the project, I called in numerous times to complain, I would have people come out at the end, but after several services calls and nothing accomplished, I finally stopped fighting and said I would leave a review. A gentleman (I think it was the owner) came out to give us an estimate for repair/replacment and he was very pleasant, polite and professional. He gave my wife an estimate for replacing the glass in the kitchen window and when she asked about some issues with the windows on the front of the house - he took the time to explain that we really didn't need any repairs but showed my wife how to deal with the condensatiion in the glass. The young man who came to replace the glass in the kitchen window was equally polite and professional and did a quick and efficent job of replacing the defective glass. The new window has given us a whole new view of the back year. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Burgess Window Repair.
