They sent a drone to do the high-level roof inspection, then went up to look at the area they suspected was the problem before giving me the estimate. The work was done quickly and they showed me pictures of each step when they were done. They seem to have a very sound scheduling and communication process. The price was reasonable as well.

But is the company reputable? And do you really want to go with a relatively new company even if is owned by your buddy. He decided, no. Newman is competitive with hundreds of 5 star reviews. He went with Newman. Subsequently we had a hail storm and neighbors were advising us to get our roof checked out. Our roof was 20 years old. I wanted to be honest with the insurance company and not submit a claim unless Tyler from Newman, who came out to give us an estimate, was sure we needed a new roof and we suffered damage beyond normal wear and tear. Plus we had 2 houses. Well one needed a new roof and the other one likely has another couple of years left. As an aside, if you turn in a claim to your insurance company, even if it is denied, you risk higher premiums or cancelation. That is why it is important to have Newman Roofing spend time assessing. In our case, our roof was more wear and tear with minimal hail. Dan and his guys were on time, even early. Weather has consistently been in the mid 90's. I was worried. But Newman keeps them well supplied with hydration. 14 man crew meant lots of vehicles, even a dump truck but they were minimally disruptive to our neighbors. Furniture moved, netting put up to minimize construction mess on house and garden areas. And then they went to work. All I can say is WOW. I am so pleased. When they were finished, the cleaned up all the mess, including using a magnetized thing for nails in driveway, patio and grass. The yard, the patio, the driveway, the porches are SPOTLESS. I highly highly highly recommend Newman Roofing. They did my kid's. They did this roof and in 2 years they will do our other roof. Price is good too.

Despite the patio not being treated before winter, then when they did come out it was a terrible finish and another company corrected. The patio is not level in a couple areas and the custom stamp and cuts they made in the patio were not lifted up causing a bubble like look. Also, while completing the project, I called in numerous times to complain, I would have people come out at the end, but after several services calls and nothing accomplished, I finally stopped fighting and said I would leave a review. So there's my reviewMy patio was never finished properly and it makes me very sad as I spent $53,000 so be very careful when hiring the correct pick for your outdoor patio.

They have been given there trys to do a gutter system correctly on my home and I finally turned to another company to get it done properly even though the repair was still under warranty. That's how much I do not trust them. Then they showed up at my neighbor's today and without permission used my driveway as a dumping ground for debris. They took the debris away but left a dirty filthy mess and lots of rusty nails for me to contend with. The guy I tried to talk to on the job site was belligerent and would not stop using my property when asked to do so. I probably had every right to call authorities. I will report them to the appropriate consumer watch dog agency. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

We want the professional installation and finished product for which we contracted and paid. Two additional windows are under contract and a deposit was paid, but because we made a warranty claim, Home Genius is now seeking to not measure, order or install those two contracted windows. The original installation was performed by a two-person crew. One installer brought a newborn infant and was simultaneously caring for the baby while working, including feeding and changing the baby in our home and keeping the baby in a carriage near the work area and ladder. The workmanship was extremely poor. Windows were not properly centered, caulking was started and abruptly stopped, windows would not properly open or close, and a screen was damaged. The problems were significant enough that Home Genius sent an entirely different crew per our demand several days later - they initially intended to send the same two. The second crew spent approximately twice as long correcting the first crew's work as the original crew spent installing the windows. Although some problems were corrected, we discovered that visibly scratched and painted old vinyl frame material remains incorporated into the finished appearance of our new ProVia windows. HGE's own contract promises professional workmanship and makes HGE responsible for proper completion even when subcontractors are used. Two additional contracted windows have not been measured, ordered or installed, although our deposit was paid. We do not believe making a legitimate warranty claim concerning defective workmanship permits Home Genius to abandon or cancel its obligations for the remaining windows. We have only asked that Home Genius to honor it, properly address the defective workmanship, and complete the two remaining windows as agreed - but this is a company that does not care and retaliates.

I would only accept highly rated companies with good reviews and an A+ BBB rating which came down to ~4 companies. I had planned on getting a few estimates and going from there. I honestly don't know why I chose to call CWS first, but I did, my call was taken by a wonderful lady whose name I cannot recall but she scheduled me immediately with Jeff. Well, I'll tell you, Jeff was excellent, he gave me honest assessments and helped me figure out what I needed, not what he could sell me. I had several requirements which he listed to and gave me honest, educated advice for all of them. Several weeks later my materials had been delivered, and we set up the date. The crew arrived on time and went straight to work after a brief conversation; I believe the crew chief was Daniel. The crew did an excellent job and listened to all my concerns, I had zero issues with them, they were great and did excellent work. In closing I will say, for the siding work I had done, and I've had siding done twice before, these guys were the best by a mile. All I can say in closing is, make sure you keep these people around, they make your business look really good.

Great experience when they installed my roof almost 10 years ago. Since then, in a relatively…read moreshort period of time, I had to call them because of leaks-leaks through the kitchen exhaust fan onto the stove, leaks through the water heater exhaust vent onto the basement floor, leakage/seepage through my chimney bricks, shingles not properly aligned with my gutter-such Of those 4, they only properly corrected two issues The 5th time was prior to July 4th this year when I noticed a place in the ceiling paint that appeared and felt damp. Called them. The person who came on the 1st was nice, went on the roof, said he saw nothing. Looked in the crawl space from a ladder--he didn't go in, and said it was a condensation/venting issue-they installed the roof vent when they installed the roof, and that someone else from the company would follow up. Emailed them on the 13th about the f/u. No response. Called another company. He went up took photos and there was a bullet hole in the shingle. He repaired it immediately. As the 614 inspection was done before the 4th, and I noticed the dampness in the ceiling before the 4th, the hole was likely there on the 1st when he said there was nothing wrong. Even if the roof warranty would not cover that kind of damage, it would have been nice to have received accurate information on the 1st, so that I could have had it repaired. It is probably good that they didn't follow up because I might have ended up spending unnecessary dollars to 'ventilate,' when ventilation was not the source of the problem. Nevertheless, since it is so close to the end of the warranty, I question whether they didn't follow-up because they didn't want to honor the warranty. To me, properly diagnosing and correcting 2 out of 5 issues after installation-4 within the first 3 years of installation, that are directly related to properly sealing the water heater vent pipe, properly installing flashing, installing the appropriate kitchen exhaust vent or properly aligning the edge shingles isn't stellar performance. As I have learned the hard way, there's more to roof installation than nailing on shingles.
