We recently had an engagement party and we chose Al and his team at Patricelli's supply the food. Everything was AMAZING ,the cold salads were delicious. The teriyaki chicken was cooked perfectly. I was craving a veggie Breakfast Pizza and had heard that Patricelli's made them and was told they weren't bad. So decided to give it a shot. Although The pizza wasn't horrible it wasn't exactly what I was looking for or craving for that matter. Granted their not Godfathers Pizza (they make a pretty awesome breakfast pizza!) for me the breakfast pizza did not have allot of egg on it but had more Mozzarella cheese than egg or anything else. The veggies were cut very thin and small so you couldn't taste them or maybe it was b/c the Mozzarella overwhelmed the pizza either way chunkier veggies always provide a great flavor to anything. Overall the Pizza was bland (well the Mozzarella tasted like Mozzarella) I had to add Garlic and extra veggies to it at home just to get some taste out of it. Possibly the cook was having a bad morning or made a mistake and added to much cheese. Maybe he had his hands in to many things at once. I will give them the benefit of the doubt b/c we are human (for the moment who knows what the future will bring) and we all make mistakes or things don't always turn out the way you planned or expected. Another very good spot to grab lunch for take out in the City of Troy. Not a place that you can go and sit down, but subs and pizza selection is on point. Where they hit the money is with their daily specials. From chicken parm sliders to a chicken alfredo sub. We are always eying what creative specials they have for that day. Good place! read more

OK this is a tough one. Working in downtown Troy my business orders at least once to twice a week from this deli. I must say that it is hit or miss with the consistency of the food. This week I ordered a Cuban pork sandwich on special, there was literally one piece of roast pork slice, one piece of salami three pickles and it looks like some remnants of cheese but I couldn't really tell the bread was thicker than the entire sandwich I'm not kidding! With that being said this was one of the first times I was truly disappointed, I know others in my office have had similar experiences but this was my first. Honestly how hard is it to make the sandwich correctly? I just don't get it. I will continue to order out of convenience but probably get the same thing that I always do which is a sub , salad, & the occasional hot turkey sandwich dinner just so I know it's going to be OK . read more

My office orders from Patricelli's quite a bit and I am not a fan. The food quality is alright. Some things are better than others. I think some of their prices are a little out of control-- they charge you a dollar if you want pickles on your sandwich (really?!?). I have ordered and paid for pickles and then not received them on my sub and that is decidedly not cool. My real problem stems more from their customer service. As I said, we order often and quite frequently when the food is delivered something is missing. The last time this happened unluckily it was my food. They brought my coworkers lunches and mine arrived about 45 minutes later, cold and nasty. They didn't apologize or discount my food; I just had to wait and starve until they brought back my reuben and fries that had obviously been sitting in the delivery guy's car for the last hour. I was clearly unhappy, but other people were also unhappy with their foods' quality. A coworker called to let them know that while we are loyal customers, we felt the food quality and service has been going downhill. She tried to be diplomatic about it because we are interested in continuing to do business with Patricelli's, but it was not well-received. I guess they will continue with business as usual which, in my opinion, is too bad for them. read more

Had the best Turkey sub I've had in forever. Grabbed Mac and pasta salad while I was waiting and they were amazing. This place is so good!

I ordered large sub trays and wraps with sides of potato salad (bacon-scallion), mac and tuna salad, Caesar and Greek salad with dressings on the side. Everything tasted wonderful and was delivered fresh and on time. Ordering with Kelly was a very pleasant experience as she was courteous and very helpful on amounts to order. So my co-workers and I received a faxed special list to our place of employment, which they send daily because we order often. Ordered at 1030AM. The worker asked when we would like our food delivered; I replied ASAP. He then took my debit card info and charged my card immediately. At approximately noon we called back because our food did not arrive, Justine stated "It's on its way". Finally at 12:20, the delivery driver shows up, but with the wrong food. She was actually pleasant and quite understanding. She called the owner who then stated he would bring us the correct order. Owner stated he would refund the cost d/t all the issues that occurred. When I called down to the deli, he was rude and arrogant. Stated "I'm not refunding your $$, loose my #". What kind of business owner does that. If I could give him zero stars I would!!! When my co-worker asked him "Is this the way you to speak to a customer?", he slammed the phone down, BYE. He should be ashamed. read more

Please hire a NICE person to answer the phone. Placing an order is grueling. No please, thank you or have a nice day. Now I will take for granted that the phone is probably crazy city (especially) during lunch rush. But.. HELLO.. there wouldn't be a lunch rush if it wasn't for CUSTOMERS. I have hung up before I even placed an order once before-as the "hello" was filled with sighs & "what do you want" attitude. I stopped ordering for a long time. Today my Manager asked me to order lunch for 8 people (~$75- not bad order) I so did not want to, as I knew it was going to be ugly. Guess what-- you did not fail me! Immediately I got a sigh. I am going to suggest we NEVER order from you again. And that is really too bad because your food is good. read more

When I first went to Patricelli's I liked it a lot more than I do now. Food is mediocre - its just as good as the next pizza/deli place in the area - and we all know there are plenty. The biggest issues here stem from customer service - as other reviews mention. There is no consistency between employees what can or cannot be done to modify an order with or without change in price. I have ordered their appetizer sampler several times and had asked to change one of the items out for fries, seeing as fries as relatively inexpensive and not an outrageous request to ask to switch. Most times this was acceptable - sometimes they had an up-charge to do this, other times they did not. But occasionally, I would get a worker who would say they cannot switch out any items in the app sampler because they all come packaged together and it would be impossible. Well, it can't be impossible, because I've had it done countless times before, but nevertheless, some of them insist it is. I would also have no problem with an up-charge for the switch if at least I was consistently charged extra and not sometimes yes and sometimes no. Just some more consistency among the staff, and all around better customer service would make me want to go back here again. read more

I have been here on numerous occasions, they have excellent food here but unfortunately the rude female with black hair that answers the phone and takes orders at the counter has ruined every experience I have had. At first I let it go because you never know what someone's going through but she just ruins your day. She is unpleasant and snotty and even sucks her teeth, rolled her eyes and started angrily pressing buttons on the cash register when I asked her if I could have my military discount like it was that big of an inconvenience for her. I was there at a non-busy time for the business. It's unflattering and will be the last time I come here. When she called to complain, the staff was argumentative and not at all apologetic, nor did they offer her a refund or offer to fix their mistake. I decided to try Patricellis for the first time ever. I ordered grilled cheese with a small butternut squash soup. The grilled cheese order comes with a side of chips and Dilled pickles. The grilled cheese was very oily, but wasn't bad. Taste fine. After all, it's just cheese and bread. The butternut squash soup was alright. It's a bit on the sweet side than spicy, so I didn't care for it much. Please keep in mind that I've never had any sort of butternut soup, so this is my first impression. From what I've been told, butternut squash is suppose to be a bit spicy. Based on that information compared to what I had, it wasn't. It's an okay soup. Not my favorite. The price range isn't too bad for the portion size you get. The restaurant is, surprisingly, only open until 3:00 p.m. on weekdays. I like that they have the option to call in ahead of time to place orders and that they do delivery runs. Overall, it was an okay experience. Not sure if I'd order the same menu items again. Overall, good service and average rated food. read more
