Not worth trying. Was excited to try them out for the first time after their hiatus with court issues and their name. Ordered my food and my friend ordered right after. After 15 minutes he finally got his food. I waited another 5 minutes before checkout my on my order. They said they were running behind on the grill. I waited another 5 minutes and they said it would be ready soon. Finally after 30 minutes of waiting I just asked for my money back. During the wait, I saw multiple other people check on their orders and that's when the staff realized they lost order tickets. My friend had ordered the rogue (braised short rib sandwich) and did not enjoy it at all, stating there was no flavor to the meat. Do not bother trying Wandering Dago. Andrea and Brandon of Wandering Dago met and exceeded our expectations on our big day, and the months leading up to it. From the get-go they were extremely helpful and most importantly patient. They welcomed us to their home for the tasting and meet & greet. Once we decided what we wanted to include on our menu(s), they assisted us with budgeting and logistics and even coordinated with the other vendors to ensure everything went off without a hitch. The wedding was executed perfectly. Everything was prepared behind the scenes, so well that I barely noticed their presence. The food was delicious and our menu was diverse, something for everyone. After everything was said and done, we received a custom 'welcome to the family' cutting board from Andrew and Brandon as a thank you gift. Our experience working together was as positive as it gets. I have every e-mail interaction with Andrea saved and am happy to discuss many more issues with anyone considering this caterer, so that you can make an informed decision! We chose Wandering Dago in early 2016 for our 2017 wedding based upon interactions we had had with Brandon, the founder and co-owner of the business. After months of consultations and amazing conversations with Brandon about our menu and minute details (at all hours of the day), we signed a contract with Wandering Dago and placed a deposit of almost $6,000. First mistake was not insisting that Brandon was named as being the cook on our wedding day. Fast forward to December 2016. We receive an email from Brandon that seemed unlike him (in language and tone). Andrea Loguidice, who is purportedly in charge, subsequently calls us for the first time in our dealings with Wandering Dago and informs us Brandon is no longer with the company. In that very first conversation, I bring up the email we had received mere hours ago from this employee who she claims is no longer with the company. Andrea brushes it aside, not acknowledging any of these concerns. I have since confirmed that Brandon did NOT send us the email. When I mentioned this deception to her again (multiple times) in hopes of an explanation, I have consistently received the brushoff. It became clear to us that Andrea is in the habit of deceit. She is a lawyer (https://goo.gl/Phllc8), so she is careful to ensure that her interactions are within legal bounds, but she is so disingenuous that these interactions caused a lot of pause, anxiety, and doubt, as well as stress that has affected a chronic medical condition from which I suffer. We didn't feel comfortable that she would be in charge of the menu (which we had only previously discussed with Brandon) or our big day. This is the day we are choosing to stand before our friends and family and commit to sharing a path in life built on honesty, openness, and trust. Knowing that if we stayed with Wandering Dago, we would be dealing with a person who showed no respect for any of these principles, we asked for a return of our deposit so that we could seek and book another caterer. Keep in mind that at this point, nothing but the menu planning had taken place. No tasting, not even an in-person meeting. When we asked for a return of the deposit, we received a response that was condescending in nature and cited legalities that would bar my ability to procure a refund of my deposit (including the fact that Brandon's involvement was never specifically agreed to). She also told me that there is no reason I should feel uneasy about this company catering our wedding. I guess we are supposed to feel confident in someone who is unresponsive, condescending, and deceitful. It has been 6 weeks, and in that 6 weeks I have sent a number of emails to attempt to resolve this situation. During that entire time we refrained from discussing this situation on social media in attempts to resolve this without ill will. We even offered to accept a partial refund of $3,500 in recognition that the company should be paid for the services that they had provided (namely, the phone calls with Brandon to secure our menu). During that 6 weeks, she has sent 4 responses, one of which was a response over 2 weeks after my inquiry which stated she had been helping someone move and would get back to me the next week (which by the way, she never did). This email also came just THREE hours after copy and pasted vendor replies were posted by her company in response to poor reviews on the Knot and Wedding Wire. If she didn't think we had a reason to feel uneasy before, this really does not help. We are 8 months away from our wedding, without having had a tasting and without timely responses! Andrea, who is in charge of Wandering Dago, has shown us that being an honest person is not high on her list of priorities. The former Wandering Dago seems to have been a wild success. However, it is no longer the same company, and under the sole direction of Andrea Loguidice, it is exactly the opposite of what we would want from a wedding caterer. I lent 2 of my best chefs to their company and they were the WORST. My 2 chefs were supposed to assist their own two chefs (one of which left half way through the shift and the other cut his finger half way though.. and also left the location). My 2 chefs were left to their own devices to serve 200 PEOPLE in cold, wet conditions - then after a 14 hour shift we're left to fend for themselves in the middle of LI. I love everything about Wandering Dago! When planning our August 2016 wedding in Beacon,NY, I knew I wanted unique and good food. After buying my dress, it was the first thing I started researching and booked. I didn't want to have typical wedding food or purchase packages with limited options. After endless googling, I somehow came across Wandering Dago. After checking out their website and reviews, I was in love. It was everything I wanted. I had a call with Brandon shortly after and knew we were a good fit right away. He was very easy to talk to, passionate and very helpful. After bouncing back and forth with ideas, we finalized an amazing menu that represented my Thai and Puerto Rican heritage and my husbands pescatarian diet. I was able to choose things I saw on their website and sample menus they sent me. I was also able to choose my own things ! We had a cocktail hour with shrimp ceviche , mini fried chicken & waffles with sriracha maple syrup, bacon wrapped meatballs, a Thai street noodle bar, and Thai spring rolls. We had a family style dinner with mofongo, salmon, chipotle chicken, Puerto Rican shredded pork, hipster salad, and an orzo dish. To end the night, we had an ice cream sandwich truck for guests outside. I always heard that the bride and groom don't eat at the wedding because they're just so busy. But I was determined to eat everything ... unfortunately, that didn't happen hahahha. I managed to shove a bacon wrapped meatball, shrimp ceviche and a spring roll in my mouth during cocktail hour. I also managed to have a few bites of salad during the speeches. After that , I was too busy dancing and drinking the night away. I woke up sad, knowing that I didn't eat everything I waited almost a year to eat! But I do remember everyone raving about the food during and after the wedding. "Best wedding food ever!", "the chicken and waffles are my favorite!", "oh my god u have a Thai noodle bar?", "the ice cream sandwich truck was the best!" Were just a few comments. I was so pleased. Brandon and Andrea were a pleasure to work with during the very stressful wedding process. Very responsive and helpful. They recommended a cake company (Hudson Cake Studio) and even recommended a bartending company last minute. the people they recommended were the best (especially Scott from the bartending company they referred me to haha) ! What topped it all off was the fact that the WD staff found our rose quartz crystal that was passed around during our ceremony. It was left on our sweetheart table and we sadly forgot it. I was devastated and couldn't find it when we went back to the venue the next day. But thankfully, the WD staff found it when they were cleaning up after dinner. They assumed it wasn't trash and kept it just in case! It was safely and quickly delivered to us ... what a treat to come back to after our honeymoon. Can't comment on the food because they refused to work with us. Brandon told me another caterer would probably be a better option. I am helping my sister plan her wedding (basically I am her wedding planner as she does not have time to do this herself). I contacted wandering dago and got no response. I reached out again and was told sorry for the delay, we were on vacation. Like that is my problem! At least have an auto response that tells people when you will return and get back to them! Once they finally responded we started discussing details of the wedding. I had obtained a catering proposal from another caterer and sent it to Brandon and asked him to replicate it as closely as possible so we could get an idea of the price. He responded and said he could not do that menu within the budget we wanted and we should go with the caterer that made that proposal. I explained that that proposal was also over budget and that was they we were shopping -- we understood either the budget or menu would need to be reworked and we wanted a proposal so we would compare them. He responded that the "3rd party set up" was too difficult for him to work with and we should go elsewhere. So, apparently Brandon is not comfortable working with wedding planners. Of course the bride and groom would have been heavily involved, if we hired him! But the whole point was for me to do the leg work so the couple didn't have to. I understand this was probably more difficult for Brandon, but my goal, as his should be, was to make it as easy as possible for the bride and groom, not for him!! To recap -- does not respond in a timely manner, will not work with wedding planners, will not provide pricing without being hired, and if he doesn't like the client basically tells them to buzz off. If something is more difficult for him, he is not interested. Extremely poor customer service. read more

Wandering Dago catered my wedding at Owls Hoot Barn, I just can't say enough good things about them. They customized a menu specifically for us based on what we wanted. When we said how about a noodle bar? They said "YES! Great idea!" Their staff were very professional and were always visible, I felt like there were at least 30 of them, at the end of the night I found out there were maybe 8 people total. Everything they did for us was awesome and exactly what we wanted! They were very easy to work with and reply to emails/texts/calls very quickly. I use them to cater my wedding which was in a mildly remote location and the owner Brandon was absolutely wonderful his food was excellent and his demeanor was outstanding at the wedding, unfortunately it was all over shadowed by the sloppy uncooperative unprofessional threatening actions of his girlfriend who is also his partner. Everything was good except for her I recommend his food and especially his ice cream sandwiches. As stated in other reviews their cost is crazy. I wanted to add a pig roast to my wedding not as the main food and was told its 35$ a person. Thats insane!!!! Alot of the services we were told would be included never happened. They showed up 2 hours late. Stating they got lost but i had guests from north Carolina come who had no issues. Who in this day and age doesnt use a gps. Especially when your business is a food truck. If you choose to use them be prepared stick go your guns and to 100% make sure you hold them to all things promised. read more

Tremendous! Wandering Dago catered our wedding last weekend. The food was above and beyond what I expected. All of our guests raved about how good the food was and the late night grill cheese and tater tots really sealed the deal! I personally thought the fried chicken was amazing! Very down to earth people and easy to work with. Catherine was our on site manager and she was great! The staff that they brought with to work the wedding were super friendly and added to the great moral. As a whole the wandering dago really out did themselves. From the initial phone call, Andrea ensured that the food and presentation would be personalized to our wedding style. We wanted to make sure that amazing food was the focus of our wedding and Wandering Dago DELIVERED - our guests are still telling us how incredible the food was (although we didn't get to eat much #bride&groomprobs)! Katie was super helpful and comforting throughout the entire wedding planning process. She came and did a walk through of the area where we would be having the wedding, offered ideas for decor that was within our budget, and was highly responsive (definitely knows her wedding stuff). Overall, we had a great wedding experience with Wandering Dago...the only thing that we wish had gone differently was the timing of dinner service, it seemed rushed. We hired Wandering Dago to do a pig roast for a special employee celebration. Brandon was a pleasure to deal with right from the start! He was able to put together a fantastic event in just a few days! The pork was delish and made me dream about it while I was eating dinner that night! From our initial planning, up to the big day Wandering Dago was extremely helpful with making our wedding the best it could possibly be. Our wedding took place on a picturesque farm in the Catskill Mountains that required us to bring everything on-site and plan every detail. Andrea and Brandon worked tirelessly to sculpt a menu that fit within our budget, was unique, and most importantly, delicious! Throughout the entire planning process Wandering Dago made sure all of our rentals were covered, working directly with the vendors, and ensuring that no detail was missed. I myself was skeptical that a plated 3 course meal for 150 people could be served hot and have the quality maintained, all from a mobile food truck, but Wandering Dago calmed my fears and exceeded our expectations. The food was phenomenal and our guests were very impressed with the exquisite taste and presentation of the meal. Andrea and Brandon are enormously flexible, thoughtful, and competent caterers. Our needs were met effectively during the planning process, from accommodating menu and beverage specifications to confirming layouts and timing for day-of events. Andrea's knowledge of our venue also came in handy for planning items totally unrelated to catering, which was an unexpected plus. Andrea and Brandon also worked closely with us to accommodate our budget without sacrificing our vision (make sure to be utterly clear about all contractual terms before signing). As for the wedding day, Wandering Dago really killed it -- the food was amazing (our guests were drooling over it), the staff were professional, but also friendly (which really fit our classy, casual vibe), and Andrea was a superstar point-person (she was calm, comprehensive, punctual, and seriously attentive to my wife and I during the entire event).
