First, let me say that they were not my attorney. They were my ex-wifes attorney…read more My ex-wife and I had agreed to get a divorce and attempt to do it in a uncontested fashion. We had pretty much gotten all of the major stuff worked out and went looking for lawyers to write it up. This was a high dollar estate. Instead of working with my attorney to work out the details, they instead convinced my ex-wife that she could get a lot more than we had agreed to (basically a 60-40 split in her favor). They served discovery, which we had both agreed previously was not needed since we both knew exactly what we were dealing with. They poured over the discovery and found that I had 2 accounts that I transferred a lot of money between them for financial reasons. Now, understand that no money ever left these accounts, but just moved between them. Charise Shannon, a para-legal, maybe, convinced my ex-wife, that I was hiding money. They saw large money going back and forth, and actually totaled up all the transfers and wanted to know where the money was. Any idiot can see that it never left the account, it just moved back and forth. Duh. They then filed all sorts of fraud, theft from the community estate, etc. My attorney suggested that I go to a high power law firm since the amount of filings they did was utterly ludicrous and he was a one-man show. So, I got a new attorney and showed him what was up, and he couldn't believe that they couldn't figure out what was going on. The opposing counsel just smelled money and decided they would make a whole lot more by going to a fully contested divorce. After they took all my ex-wifes money, they kicked her to the curb and she had to go hire another lawyer since she couldn't afford Vick-Carney anymore. I believe they got her for over $60,000. In the end, due to all of the ridiculous filings and claims by Vick-Carney, I went to trial, and walked with 70% of the proceeds of the sale of our ranch, half the proceeds of a SOLE AND SEPARATE property of hers, the FULL proceeds of another house, AND a $50,000 judgement against her to boot. She got severely screwed and in the end got nothing. Also, Vick-Carney dragged this out for over three years, and her new attorney added almost 2 more years, and couldn't reverse the damage that Vick-Carney did during the trial. Vick-Carney did her NO favors. I highly recommend them as an opposing counsel.

Let me just save you the time and financial screwing you will recieve from Vic Carney(divorce)…read more All they seem to want is to draw out the process and get more money from you. At first they are very nice and attentive and seem to generally care about your situation, but once they get your money you are treated like crap ,they dont pay any attention to you they only pay attention to what they can charge more hours too. When i decided to press the attorney, she didnt feel that i could ask her how much more it would take. So, instead of a phone call to re assure me, SHE QUIT! Thats right folded like a cheap suit. Now i have to start all over and find another attorney. I wouldnt recommend those two people for getting a divorce to my worst enemy! Those two ladies are jokes.
