We will be bringing our baby here when she's born in March, and it's comforting to know she's already in good hands!

When I confronted him about that, after a team of ER doctors spent hours on me and I had a six day stay in ICU, he said I should have googled the medication. So I did. And I learned that he was to have been conducting quarterly blood tests. He never did a single blood test. That was the most dramatic and life-threatening of his errors or misses in my care, but there are others. Fortunately, I started relying heavily on specialists and they caught most of the things that Dr. Wolfe should have been doing, catching, and acting on. I would not trust him or any Practicioner at One Medical with my health. They seem too focused on attracting new members and securing insurance reimbursements, in my opinion, to have the bandwidth to adequately care for the needs of their existing patients.

I recently switched from 15 years with Kaiser, back to Blue Cross, so I had to replace about 10 docs and thank goodness for Dr. Wolfe! I met him last week for the first time and I was SO impressed. He's very knowledgeable, he's not intimidated by my questions (or all the "stuff" going on with me), he's open minded, he was a pain doc for 6 years (so he gets THAT part of my treatment) and overall, he's a very likable guy - I can't recommend him more highly (keeping my fingers crossed that I'm not putting him on a "too soon" pedestal - but I don't think so). The ONLY downsides are the whole "Med One" $200 annual fee for "special" things that really, all docs are offering now-a-days, and the fact that Med One isn't on either of the 2 main electronic medical systems in my area (UCSF and Sutter), so I have to make sure they get all my labs and doc notes from EVERY other doc....which in my personal case, is a big PITA. That being said, I really feel like I have a good doc now who can be the leader of my team and really help coordinate all my issues - before, it was only me, bringing things to docs and trying to figure it out on my own, so YEA!!!!

Dr. Daniel did a lot of pricy and questionable testing and put me on 41 pills a day of either supplements or prescription medicine. I developed a concerning medical condition I'd never had before that made me feel sicker than ever, requiring me to stop eating many foods, and made me so fatigued, all I could do was lie on the couch most days for months. It was miserable. I finally got fed up with her after the second time she raised her prices significantly during the pandemic and fired her. I had spent tens of thousands of dollars on her appointments, testing and supplements. I immediately went off of everything she had prescribed and felt so much better within two weeks. My health has been just fine since I stopped following her advice 18 months ago. She may have a lot of five-star Yelp reviews but read them closely - few mention good medical outcomes from working with Dr. Daniel. That's because she gives her patients a discount on supplements in exchange for Yelp reviews which they write at the beginning of their treatment before they have any outcomes. This practice is unethical and should be illegal. Note to Dr. Daniel: When you attempt to rebut my review, be sure not to violate HIPAA.

Working with her had an incredibly positive effect on my health and well-being and I feel so grateful to have had the opportunity to work with her, and get back to optimal health. However, there have been recent changes to the practice that feel de-humanizing. Today, in the midst of a pandemic, I tried to log in to ask a question or make a short appointment, and was told my account was "inactive" as I had not had an appointment in a year. I called to see if I could ask Dr. Daniel, a doctor I really trust, a question or make an appointment, and Jason/Jonathan called me to tell me that I was no longer a patient, and the practice was not accepting new patients. I told him I'd been a patient since 2015, and asked him how I could make an appointment, or ask Dr. Daniel a question, and he said I would need to go online and read about my options, that who knows if I could be seen again, but that I might be a "level 2" or "level 3. " When I asked him what that meant, he said I should go online. As a longtime patient, a mother, and a scientist, I felt hurt and disrespected by this de-humanizing interaction. It seemed that the rug had been swept out from under my feet - I was booted from the practice because I felt well and hadn't had an appointment in a year. These new policies, and the interaction with Jason/Jonathan were the exact opposite of my previous experience with Dr. Daniels (warm, humanizing, caring). He left me with no other option than to seek other care.

Before becoming her patient, I saw 2 different doctors for my yearly physicals and didn't last a year with either of them. I have seen Dr Paz 3 times this year, so feel I have a good sense of her practice. I first saw her for my physical and she referred me to some specialists for some serious bone/nerve issues which were going on. I continue to see her/communicate with her often for help with pain management. What I like about Dr Paz is: She does not seem to have a set agenda, she listens to you and makes decisions based on what you are saying. I have agreed with every one of her ideas or strategies to help me feel better. She is professional, yet very caring and nurturing. She is always ready on time or within 15 minutes of my appt time. She takes care of things AMAZINGLY quickly, whether it is a question called in by phone or a refill call in to the pharmacy. About the Office: Receptionists always smiling and efficient. After signing up and paying $1750/year with concierge choice to gain access to Ann Cummings Medical practice. We showed up to see the doctor and she kept leaving the exam room and taking forever to return. Her bedside manner was also rude and after 2 appointments like this we decided to stop seeing her. After contacting concierge choice they refunded some of our annual fee and we withdrew from Ann Cummings practice. 2 years later we received a bill for $32.58 and even though we disputed the charge with concierge choice and were told the charge was not valid they have now submitted the charge to a collection service that is now threatening to ruin our credit. I would advise anyone reading this to NOT use Concierge Choice or Ann Cummings medical practice.
