When I was pregnant and researching pediatricians and then subsequently interviewing them, Tammy was the only one who asked me questions back, who questioned some of the decisions I thought I was going to make and who offered me valid medical advice so that I could make a more informed decision. She is true to her knowledge, valued and beliefs despite what I may have thought and I appreciated that she wasn't telling me what she thought I wanted to hear, but rather what she thought I needed to hear. This is a quality that is priceless and vital. We as new parents are learning and if you get nothing more from this review, take this one piece of advice, find yourself a pediatrician who takes the time to knowledge share and help teach you. Tammy has always taken the time to talk with us at appointments, to help us communicate our concerns through her questions, to assure that we are doing best for our children and meeting their social, emotional and physical needs- that's right, her level of care goes beyond their physical needs! The whole practice is darling, from the themed rooms that are warm , lively and welcoming to help ease any nerves kids might have to the reception which has toys, books, magnets etc. or the nursing room for new mothers who may need a little extra help. This office has it all! All of the staff are kind and warm to kids and make it their job to keep kids comfortable and happy, I appreciate each one of them for that, even at shot appointments my kids have left happy because of this special trait. We are able to get into appointments same day when our children are sick, there is a pediatrician after hours care clinic that Pinecone is part of, and there is always one person on call for emergencies. This place is like nowhere else, it is a place that is helping raise my kids, that goes beyond just giving them shots and helping them when they are sick.

When we came in for our 9 month appointment she asked us how we were sleeping - and honestly we weren't! Our son had terrible sleeping habits and Dr rotem spent extra time at our appointment helping us with suggestions we should do to help. We communicated with the front because they didn't take cash for the visit (it's ridiculous that doctors offices require exact change). Frazee proceeded to see my child and then fire us for "mistreating her staff." First of all, this did not happen. Second of all, she fired us while my child was on antibiotics for UTI and they have other medical conditions requiring prescriptions. They gave us 30 days and no doctor had availability for new patients for at least 90 days and we were never given a referral to someone else. To me, this seems like patient abandonment. She was also rude at times and definitely had know it all energy when we had questions or concerns. If you can, find someone else.

So I waited until the last month to get recommendations from friends and make the appointment to go in. She was recommended by 2 people I knew from her previous practice. Little did I know I would be induced 2 weeks early. Luckily Dr Frazee took us in at the last minute notice she had, and came to the hospital for the circumcising. We have never been disappointed since. Many doctors have a nurse call you back and never actually take the time to make calls themselves. Dr Frazee always returns phone calls when you have questions and generally she calls back within a very short period of time. There is never a long wait at her office. The office itself is clean and her staff is friendly. When we had a bad rash early on, she got us in for an appointment quickly and got it taken care of. But the most impressive thing to date is her schooling a lab clerk over the phone on how to find a record in the system. We went to get labs done on our newborn for jaundice and the person checking us in at the lab was not only a bit rude, she had no interest in helping us because she stated there were no records submitted for us to be there. I called Dr Frazee's office to let them know we could not get into the lab. Next thing you know, Dr Frazee gets on the phone and tells the check in person where the records are at on the computer! The attention to detail and personal care is not something you get with many health care professionals these days, so Dr Frazee's team is a breath of fresh air in a world where you can barely call anyone without getting an automated service. She is very personable at the visits and we will keep seeing Dr Frazee as long as we live here. We would recommend her to any friends we know who are looking for a pediatrician.

Environment: When you walk in, the environment is kind of cold. Other pediatric offices are colorful, inviting for children, providing games, books, or toys, but not this one. Then, we set up a a prenatal consultation with Dr. Riar and immediately knew she was the doctor for us! She was as knowledgeable about pediatrics as she was personable. She is also very supportive of a parents rights to choose what's best for their child. They do require you to follow the CDC vaccine schedule, but everything else is whatever you think is best for your baby. She was supportive of our home birth plan and was okay with us bringing the baby ASAP after birth. But we transitioned to the hospital for birth and she was supportive of that too. She visited our baby every day we were at Renown. Unfortunately they just moved locations and the new office isn't as conveniently located. But that's okay, this provider is worth the extra parking steps!
