Now, I am in my late 60's finding myself again in the oral surgery chair. I had this one last tooth to be extracted, and it was a very big one. I cannot tell you how wonderful and understanding this crew was with me! Dr Daccache is an amazing person, not only dentist. When he came in the room I was crying like a little girl. He smiled and sat down next to me, and he promised me in a soft voice that he would be as gentle as he could be. I have terrible veins, he took my her that hand and said that it will be ok, he told me just relax and breathe slowly. I looked at him, as I felt that I was gently slipping easily away. When I woke up, my adoring husband was driving us home. When we got home, he helped me out of the car and up the stairs to our house. My husband gave me a cup of tomato soup and a ginger ale to drink. A couple hours later, one of the team members called to see how I was getting on. I told her that I thought the entire staff was empathetic to my needs. I did not have excess blood and there was literally no swelling at all! That I was resting very comfortably. What concerned me even more was that I tested whether my number was specifically being declined by calling from another phone. When I called from a different number, the office answered. Regardless of how busy an office may be, patients experiencing potential post-surgical complications should be treated with urgency, professionalism, and basic compassion. While I understand scheduling limitations, there is no excuse for being disrespectful to patients who are simply trying to coordinate necessary follow-up care. My son needs his 4 impacted wisdom teeth removed, and we have been trying since May to get this done. We wanted to do this over the summer so he wouldn't have to miss school. My son and I both work and we need to arrange transportation the day of the procedure also. We both requested work off and asked my Mom to make herself available as well. Everything was set and then a few weeks prior to our appointment I received an automated text message that we need to reschedule. After calling the Henderson office, I was told the office is undergoing surprise renovations. Not happy, but we rescheduled the appointment and requested work off for the second time. Then once again I received a text message saying our appointment was canceled. I called and was told office still under renovation. We reluctantly rescheduled the appointment further out, after school started, and requested new days off work. I called a few weeks later to confirm renovations were completed and they confirmed it was finished. THEN last week, I got the text message saying we needed to reschedule AGAIN! At this point I am livid. The receptionist could not give me an explanation as to why the appointment was canceled again. No apology, no empathy, no consideration whatsoever. Obviously I requested my $250 deposit be refunded ASAP and started looking for a new oral surgeon. Not once did anyone reach out. I will tell everyone about our experience and continue to spread the word about how little this company cares about their patients.
