I had the worse experience with North View Dental she treated 2 times for a root canal each time , the third time she diagnosed and other root canal + cavity and a crown ,so they give a quote for $2349. + wherever she was going to charge my insurance .so I decided to go to a different Dentist for a second opinion they took and XR and exam it turned out nothing wrong with my tooth the one she diagnosed a root canal, only the other one has a cavity this dentist only charge me $425. when North View Dental was going to charge for something I didn't need ,be careful with this place. read more

This place is ridiculous. At first everyone seems nice but that's seriously not the case. I've only been here one time and that was enough for me. I had a root canal done and i was able to feel some of the pain early into the procedure. Now i've had to call twice to cancel my next appointment and both times the lady has told me she will just make a "note in my account" however i am still getting notifications as if it's clearly not canceled. I asked her if that even canceles my appointment and am i still going to get notifications & she said "it shouldn't" but clearly it does lol. I took my mom here recently. I called and told them my mom is going out of the country soon and she needs to be seen before a certain date. They were extremely accommodating for scheduling. The first appointment was great. Doctor was friendly, and after the exam the lady at the front took her time explaining the treatment plan to me so I could translate it to my mom. After the dentist pull my tooth and said my tooth was out they paused for a minute and went back to work on the area they said they took the tooth from. Be very careful of this place, they tell you one thing but it ends up being the other. My girlfriend made an appt for a CLEANING but when she went they told her she had to do a ROOT CANAL "asap" when she never had any symptoms for it. The procedure took 4 HOURS. We both have family who works in that field and they confirmed it was completely wrong to make someone do a root canal the day of and for that long. To start , my initial appointment was my first time there. After running some X-rays they noted that I needed fillings. Told me they could do it same day and then quoted a price for about $130. They have me sign and pay for the procedure telling me it's covered by insurance. They do the fillings (failed to even give me the options of what type of fillings I wanted) proceeded to fail at numbing my mouth multiple times during the procedure. Then after they complete it, tell me that the type of filling they chose to use is actually not covered by insurance and send a bill for $400+ , then they proceed to schedule me for a cleaning for a week later in which I have to take off of work for, send me multiples texts per day to ensure I am coming in, then cancel the appointment 10 minutes before the appointment time. Went back (after a long break and only out of desperation) for a simple cleaning, told them that I don't trust their billing dept. and that I needed everything in writing how much it would cost. Well I have been having horrible tooth pain and my jaw began to swell. I knew something was really wrong and was able to get a same day appointment. I got there about 10 minutes early but didn't get called back until 40-45 minutes later. They did everything that they could considering the circumstances. I couldn't open my mouth or bite down for proper xrays. So I'll be returning once the swelling goes down and we can figure out what treatment options I want to go with. The dentist was very informative and very attentive to my crisis. Here's the bad part which is why I took away 1 star!!!! After all of that the lady didn't give me my id or medical id card back before I left!!! She should have scanned the card & IMMEDIATELY given it back to me!!!! Now I have to go wayyyy back over there to retrieve them!!!! Definitely beyind pissed because I almost wasn't able to pick up the pain medication without a valid id!!! Please mange whatever necessary copies or scan whatever you Neff and give the patient their property back!!! So let me start off by saying that I've had some very horrible experiences with dentists in the past....I was looking for a Dentist that was knowledgeable, professional and reliable. After looking in my area I found Dr T at North View Dental. So I called the office to set up my appointment, and expected to hear an answering machine an hearing back from them in a few days. Nope the receptionist answered an listened to my concerns an asked me how soon I need an appointment. After about five minutes of simple questions and jokes I was able to make an appointment for that same day! Love it. So I make to the office, and spoke to the front desk staff, and retrieve my forms (like 4 things to fill out really). Within 3 minutes of handing in my forms I was being asked to come to the back and prepare myself for an exam. Now if you remember going to the dentists as a child you remember waiting for seemed like days before even being seen... then meeting some very unfriendly, and rough hands *shivers* I entered the office at 11am, and left by 12pm. Not impressed? well in that time I had spoken with the dentists Dr Tounian, and his assistant. Had x-rays taken. Went through a detailed explanation of the issues, and corrective actions needed. Was explained the costs before having any work done, and had a cleaning, all in one hour. I have another appointment coming up in the next few days, and I'm actually excited to have my teeth worked on. If you've ever had any apprehensions about seeing a dentist, I would strongly recommend coming here so they can change your mind. Very professional =) read more

Hands down the best dentist I have ever been to, Dr Lisa Hoang is awesome, I had a root canal and two crowns done and left there with no pain or discomfort, I didn't even need the pain medication, all of the staff is very professional and polite, Dr Hoang makes sure that you don't have any discomfort during the procedure and even calls you herself to see how you're doing, I was supposed to get two root canals done and she felt that I only needed one after she started the procedure, I was refunded the full amount for the cost, that just goes to show you that they really care about their patients, very honest for sure, I would highly recommend North View Dental to anyone needing dental care. Dr. Lisa Hoang is the best! She is thorough and professional. Came for teeth sensitivity and what I thought was a cavity on my front tooth, ended up being a plaque, sucks but still better than a cavity. We did exam and X-rays and discovered quite a few new small cavities, sucks. I had a deep cleaning and all the cavities filled. Maria, dental assistant, was awesome throughout from X-rays to assisting to ending with a goody bag. Dr. Hoang was so patient and explained EVERYTHING, every step, & everything I might feel. She respectfully handled my pain/discomfort by constantly asking me every few mins and giving me more pain injections and offering mouth/jaw breaks (since I chose to do both top and bottoms of my mouth, it was a lot). She said she was required to experienced the injections and cleanings during school (SF UOP graduate!) as training for patients- it showed! I have high anxiety during any medical visits esp dental - her caring & professional bedside manner + her gentle touch helped alleviate that. The office is clean and staff is nice. It's been a few days since, mouth is slightly sore (to be expected) but feels good and clean, fillings are same color as my teeth and no more sensitivity. After over 10 years of not going to the dentist I finally decided to take the next step and get my teeth looked at and cleaned. My first trip I met with the front office girl who was extremely RUDE and would talk over me (see I am not the only one with this experience) After I filled out the pile of paper work I went back to chair so nervous and took a million X-rays. The energy of that office must have to much estrogen because those girls in there do not like each other and you can definitely tell! Such awkward energy. I left to office with clean teeth however I had to come back. The following week I got a cleaning the girl didn't even know how to work the machine. I left with grainy teeth from the polish. You think a polish would have been quick right? WRONG! I was there for 2 freakin hours. Most of try time waiting for someone to try to sell me stuff. I literally got out of my chair and roamed around for someone to finally let me leave. I'm new to the area and they got me in very fast for a cleaning. I don't have insurance at the moment, and they have a special for new patients, $40 x-Ray/cleaning! That's an awesome deal. For many years, I always had a Dentist do all the work, (with assistants.) North View Dentist was Lisa, I came to for a crown. It was a front lower tooth. (Over $650..!!) She had an 'assistant' administer the numbing shot. (Carbocane). She then drilled off the necessary top of tooth. Then she disappeared. The Dental assistants did the impressions (2 or more) and put in a temporary filling. (It had to be done twice.!) I asked where she was and they said, 'she is on a conference call'..?? I don't know about you, but I prefer the DENTIST do the job, and let the assistants, do the 'assisting'. For me, never again there for Dental work.!!! read more

I came on here to read reviews before scheduling my appointment. I mean, every dentist office has at least one bad review or someone with a missing tooth they want the dentist to magically put back but I thought to give them a try and so happy I did. Maria took all my X-rays so gently, I always dread that part. Then Dr. Hoang came in and did an exam and showed me X-rays and actual Live Photo's of small cavities. So a couple of things. First, I will say that everyone is super nice and the office is clean but we had a couple of misses with this office that really add up. I have a child with fairly severe sensory issues that includes oral hygiene. I make sure dental offices know and ask that they be kind as this child is very sensitive about it. They know what they should do, they just can not do it but they do the very best they can do. 1. The website was wrong! They quickly fixed it after I pointed out that it blatant error but it was the whole reason I chose this office. The poor women who was supposed to go over our billing had to take my phone with the website up and show her office the error. The website said they offered several types of sedation (which is rare here in vegas) including gas, oral, partial and full. I have high functioning ASD kids who needs it so I even told the receptionist when I called to make the appointment that we would need sedation. 2. They changed our appointment time. I thought this was great. They moved us from a 2:00 and a 3:00 to (2) 1:00 appointments. My son just need x-rays and to schedule a "sedation" appointment for cavities and my daughter needed a x-rays, a cleaning and to schedule cavity repair. They took the kids back at the same time and we sat there and waited and waited. All in all, it was over 2 hours for a cleaning and x-rays. 3. Miscommunications - Dentist suggested we use floss as a waterpik wouldn't get to the problem areas. The hygienist suggested a waterpik because dental floss would never get to the problem areas. 4. Hygienist was a little rude/offputting to one kid and fine with the other. She wasn't supposed to see one child but was asked to show them how to better floss to ensure less cavities in the future. She looked into their mouth, told them they have gingivitis, needed a deep cleaning, was going to loose their teeth if they didnt take better care of their teeth, chastised them for not brushing better and left (never showing them how to floss). She could have handled it better. She left a kid terrified and nearly in tears. I am sure she wasn't told that this child was special needs and had sensory issues with their mouth. 5. NO, my teenage kid with sensory issues will not allow me to brush and floss their teeth and it isnt right to make that suggestion in from of my other teenager because they do talk and that makes the whole going to the dentist situation harder. They may have ASD but they are high functioning and have feelings like any other kid. Completely demotivating. read more

Anyone in the Las Vegas valley looking for a dentist, look no further. North View Dental at 3073 Craig Road #1, North Las Vegas is the place to go. Dr. Lisa Hoang is wonderful, she is very gentle and caring, every other dentist that I have ever went to was always looking to make money and would do a root canal with a crown right away, I had 2 teeth with deep cavities that she thought would need root canals but when she started the work decided to not do the root canal and just do the crown. While I waited for the crowns to be delivered I had temporary crowns and during that wait time would tell if I would really need the root canal. I am so grateful for her judgement on not doing the root canals right away because I did not need them. What a savings! Dr Hoang always personally makes follow up calls herself to see how you are doing no matter what work was done. Diana who handles the cost for the work and your insurance coverage is awesome!! She is so helpful and the most honest person. The original quote for my work was with 2 root canals and was charged for them, before I left she told me of the mistake and refunded me almost 700.00. I know there are a lot of places who would not have said anything unless I caught it and brought it to their attention. I don't want to forget to mention that all of the staff is very friendly and caring. I could go on and on about how great North View Dental is but you really need to see for yourself, If you live in the south part of the valley don't let the fact that they located in North Las Vegas not make you want to go here, believe me it is worth the drive. The kind staff, and gentle nature of Dr. Hoang and Matthew really helped me get over my fear, and I am on my way to my Best Smile Ever! I am really surprised that I am getting my dental work done, because I put it off for so long. This group made me feel very comfortable coming in and getting started again. They continued to check on my comfort level through each procedure, and I was not judged for not coming in sooner...I'm very happy with their work, and my teeth look and feel great. The dentist here is awesome the dental hygienist Crystal was awesome I had a deep cleansing of my gum and did not fill a things .She was very patience with me very education on letting me know how to keep my gum from getting any more affection into . Horrible service...horrible patient treatment and communication. I've been trying to get this office to submit a preauth for my crowns for over two months I haven't heard anything. I call the office spoke to Hailey and she said she will send again. Two weeks go by I call back she said she already sent it. I called the insurance and they said no preauth on file. I called back another two weeks later spoke to Adriana and she was rude...arrogant and so unprofessional. Blaming me telling me it's my job to call the insurance and push it. Even after I called the insurance has no preauth. I called her again Friday and Adriana put me on hold for 5 minutes not coming back to check on me...that made me give up. This office is incompetent...unhelpful...rude and has poor customer service. Don't believe the hype of the reviews... They probably do their own reviews. I went to another office who can put this office out of business for their customer service! Save your time and money... You pay what you get for...and that comes with the service too. Their website says they are a five star service office... I felt it was important to submit the requested review but couldn't without giving a rating, which, since there was no work done during this visit giving a rating for services done seems to be unfair to the dentist as well as to people who read reviews to help them decide on whether or not to patronize a given business. When rating I chose only one star to call attention to the caveat emptor in my review. On this site I chose two stars because "Eek! Methinks not" certainly doesn't reflect my opinion of this dentist. Even though I wasn't experiencing any serious problems with my teeth or gums when I made the appointment with North View Dental (NVD) in North Las Vegas, NV, I thought it would be a good idea to at least have them checked. It had been over three years since my last visit to a dentist (not at NVD) and the x-rays and examination back then showed that my teeth and gums were in pretty good shape. So when I went to NVD for what I thought would be a routine checkup, I was a little surprised at being told by one of their dentists (DDS Hoang) that I not only needed several "deep cleaning" procedures but also that I needed to have a deteriorating filling replaced. I have mixed feelings about the recommendation to have "deep cleanings." I've heard some negative things about them and none of the many other dentists I have had over the years (I'm 62) ever recommended I have them done. Also, the total cost of the cleanings seemed a bit high, though it wasn't nearly as high as the replacement filling that was recommended. The "core buildup" alone would have been $2254. If I had all the work done that NVD recommended the total would have been more than twice that. With the cost of everything skyrocketing these days and an unethical culture affecting more and more businesses it behooves us to be circumspect, and in dealing with health care costs that are spiraling out of control we would be foolish to not get a second opinion on whatever health-care professionals tell us we need. An ex-hygienist friend told me that unless there is hard evidence that work needs to be done on teeth, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." It's been about 4 months since that one and only visit to NVD and I have had no teeth- or gum-related problems, and my savings account is much richer than it would have been if I had chosen to have all their recommended work done. read more

After getting a crown my husband had to go back several times to get it glued back in. He told them that it was not a good fit but was told that it would be OK..... He ended up having to go back AGAIN when the crown fell out. This time they redone the crown and didn't charge us.. I told them up front that I would not be paying again for this crown. The doctor told me that it was recommended that he get a tooth extracted since he had not gotten the root canal done at the time of the crown. I informed the dr. that we do not have dental insurance and ask what the cost of the extraction would be? He informed me that it would be out of pocket $310. I was given a name and card for the specialist. I called them once I left the office to set up an appointment and was transferred back to the North View office. At that time I was told that I would have to buy into "Streamline Dental Plan" to get this price.???!!! Are you kidding me! My experience was definitely not a good one. On my first visit, my insurance was verified by phone, and the entire waiting room could hear all of my personal information and benefits as the receptionist repeated it. I waited 30 minutes after appointment time to be called back. The x-ray technician took 6 x-rays before he realized the computer was not registering them and then had to repeat. It took him 25 minutes to complete the x-rays. The doctor came in and immediately reviewed my medical history stated she could not test me without medical clearance. She did not offer to call my doctor as they did for another patient in the waiting room. She dismissed me but did offer to examine me for my problem. Since I was in so much pain, I let her examine me. She referred me to an endodontist but for the wrong tooth. She told me I had an infection but for the wrong tooth. No antibiotics prescribed!! read more

Such a great experience working with Dr. Hoang and her wonderful staff! The office itself is clean and very well maintained. Although I was a little nervous at first, they made me feel comfortable by explaining everything I could expect before, during, and after my procedure. Dr. Hoang was thorough, efficient, and often stopped to ensure I was tolerating fine and not in any pain. She also had exceptional bedside manner. She was personable with a genuinely compassionate and welcoming attitude. Not to mention, an absolute professional! My experience could not have been any better and far exceeded my expectations.
