If you're looking for a videographer who will capture your big day and all the precious moments throughout it - look no further. We knew we wanted a great videographer for throughout the day but also specifically to capture our ceremony and special moments in the reception, as we had a sort of "destination" wedding and many of our family and friends couldn't be there in person. Our photographer recommended Patrick to us and from the very beginning, it was a blast. He worked with us to create a package based on our needs and was very friendly (and funny) from the get-go. When the big day came, we couldn't have asked for anyone better. It was wonderful that he already had a working relationship and rapport with our photographer (Alyssa Flores) so they were a great team already. He and Adam (the second shooter he brought along) seamlessly blended in and managed to capture our special day in such a beautiful and authentic way. If I could give him 10 stars, he totally deserves it!!! This is super long overdue... My husband and I got married in 2015 in the hills of Avila beach. Being a virgo, perfectionist to the 9s, with a background in production, particularly with art department and knowing how to decorate a set and an eye for detail that pretty much kills every joy in me at any event, it literally took me 3 years to finally watch our wedding video. None of our guests noticed any of the flaws, but I did and yes, crazy me... it was devastating to say the least. Honestly, there were only two vendors for my whole wedding, I fell in love with from start to finish. Did someone just call me Bridezilla??? in all honesty, my expectations are too high for most to meet, but Patrick throughout did it. I designed my entire wedding with great detail... painstakingly... Patrick expressed in an email to me that this was a unique wedding for him, because of all the details and that he wanted to be sure to capture all of it. He did and more. It was really nice to be able to work with one person for both the photography and the videography as it was seamless. But, not only that, I created a scavengerhunt for our rehearsal dinner guests the night before our wedding. Because none of us lived in Avila or San luis obispo, I wanted a fun way for them to get out and explore the whole town in a short amount of time. We had about 4 teams of 6 to 8 guests and each team had their list of items to hunt down. They were to pass through the cheese shop, which had champagne and charcuterie and cheese board out for them and eventually all would end up at Foremost, the wine bar/restaurant and join us for dinner. Patrick took everyone's cell phones right at the entrance. They were required to video tape with their phones all the individual tasks on their list. Patrick downloaded the footage from 20 plus phones, quickly edited them all to make a really funny video to show at the restaurant right after the dinner. Yes, he's quick and most importantly, talented. Patrick was game for anything I came up with. Nothing was ever a NO WAY. He tried to make it all happen. He was super easy going, great personality, funny and had a way of making me always feel at ease with him... There was a misunderstanding with our florist and so we did not get the flowers that were supposed to drape off these doors that I had custom made. Patrick sent one of his photographers the day after the wedding as I took flowers from another area and draped them over, just so I could have the photo I built the doors for. He went over and above for us. Yes, it took me 3 years to finally watch our wedding video and honestly, it was amazing!!! You will not regret hiring Patrick for your wedding. Wow. When we were first engaged, we hired a photographer friend to shoot our wedding. But then we were a little panicked when she had to cancel on us... We didn't have any idea who to hire. Our friend recommended Patrick. We were so blessed to work with him! It was 9 million degrees on the day of our wedding, but he worked so hard to give us the most incredible shots and never complained once. He worked so well with the DJ to perfectly coordinate the night, and had no problems sharing his time with our videographer. He's by far the most comfortable photographer we've ever worked with. In the "photoshop" age, overediting of photos seems to be a common theme. Patrick is a master at using natural light and letting the people in his shots be the real focus. The shots felt natural at the time he was shooting and look just as natural after his editing. The entire bridal party felt comfortable shooting with him...he would say silly things to make us laugh and the shots really show the true joy of our wedding day. My husband and I live in San Francisco and were planning our 5 year vow renewal from afar. We had 2 criteria: have the ceremony be at a local winery and have some beautiful pictures to capture our intimate ceremony. We booked the location - Sunstone Winery in Santa Ynez. Patrick shot one of my friends weddings and I have to say he is one of the best I've seen. Aside from being very accomodating (my friend was being a groomzilla and insisted on a number of props for the shoot), he was also very creative in some of the shots that were taken. Many of the bridal party pictures were taken just before the wedding, and all of those plus the wedding pictures themselves were already on a slideshow on his laptop for the reception. Patrick and his crew are AMAZING!!!! I knew when looking at Patrick's blog and website that I loved his artistic eye and beautiful shots with the sky and sun/shadows in the background and I knew i wanted to hire him as our videographer/photographer for our wedding day. His photo's all look so classic, soft, and natural, like they belong on a postcard. Patrick also flew out to New York City to do our engagement shoot and we spend a whole day between Manhattan and Brooklyn shooting in some great areas. We got some beautiful photos' on the lake in Central Park and pictures of the Brooklyn Bridge as well. On the day of the wedding, Patrick and his crew were just as amazing. They arrived early and spend the entire day with us. They were all very friendly, and almost invisible. The shots they ended up getting were beautiful and my husband and I couldn't be more please. My whole wedding party felt as ease with them and when he could tell we were tired of smiling, he stopped at nothing to get that last smile out of us. We also hired Patrick and his crew as our videographer for the wedding and within 24 hours of our wedding day, he had a 15 second clip posted online with some highlights from our wedding day and within 3 days he had a 4 min highlight video done with beautiful drone shots of our church and venue and he had used my matron of honor's speech as the background (genius idea!). Within a week of the wedding, I received 1,288 photos from our wedding day that he reviewed and selected for us! For someone who loves social media, I can't tell you how great it was to (almost) immediately share the videos and photo album with my family and friends. Everyone (especially my friends who got married 1-2 weeks before us) kept asking "how did you get these already?", but that's how great Patrick is.. he's quick and has a great eye. He knows that every shot he takes, no touch-up or digital enhancements are needed and the picture should speak for itself. I love how we look like ourselves, very natural, in the moment and no touch-up needed. That's how you know a photographer is good, when absolutely nothing needs to be done to the photos. I have been looking forward to writing this review. Patrick was one of the photographers who shot my wedding this past August and I'm so glad that he did. Going into it, I sort of viewed the photo session part of the wedding as something that had to get done before we could join the festivities and start the celebration...but Patrick managed to make it one the highlights of the day. First of all, he's hilarious. Instead of forcing you to smile to get the right shot, he's constantly making you laugh with his ridiculous jokes. He made the whole experience so much fun by creating an amazing chemistry with everyone. We all had such a great time, allowing him to take such candid and natural shots. In looking through his work, you start to notice all the detail and substance that he captures, taken from the most perfect angle, with such a creative perspective. Each one tells a story and makes you feel like you were there, which means a lot to the people that couldn't be. When the day is over and the celebration comes to an end, all you're left with are the pictures, which is why it's so important to find the right photographer.
