I attended his three-day academy last April, where each day began with about two hours of instruction focused on my goals and key golf fundamentals, followed by nine holes on the course with Brad to put those lessons into practice. Brad is especially skilled at adapting his teaching style when something is not clicking. When I struggled, he moved easily between different explanations, strategies, and learning approaches until the concept made sense. With a few simple, easy-to-execute changes to my setup and grip, he helped me add twenty to thirty yards to all of my longer clubs. My short game improved even more. The wedge strategies he taught helped me get more out of my shots, land closer to the pin, and shorten my path to the hole. The on-course component was one of the most valuable parts of the academy. It exposed me to all aspects of the game and helped me understand how the individual pieces fit together in real playing conditions. I started as a mid-handicapper hoping to stay under 100; now I am working to stay under 90, which is a major improvement and still a work in progress. For a public golf course, this course met expectations in most respects. The conditions were…read morereasonably good, and it's a very scenic layout with beautiful canyon views in every direction. The staff was also extremely friendly, from the guys in the pro shop to the cart girl. Unfortunately, pace of play was a major problem, and it's the reason I probably won't return. We spent the entire front nine behind a foursome that made us wait on virtually every shot, despite having no one in front of them. There was absolutely no effort to keep pace. They stood over and analyzed every putt like the U.S. Open was on the line. Thankfully, they left after nine holes. We made the turn and the course was wide open. Great! Or so we thought. Several holes later, we caught another group and experienced exactly the same thing for the remainder of the round. Slow golfers are going to happen. The bigger issue is when a course does nothing about it. Someone needs to monitor pace of play and encourage groups that have fallen well behind to pick it up or allow faster groups through. For me, this is one of the biggest differences between many public courses and a well managed private club. A four hour round should be the expectation, not a pleasant surprise. Beautiful course, friendly staff, decent conditions. But if pace of play matters to you, bring plenty of patience.

Like many golfers seeking the ultimate golf swing "fix" I've been fortunate to have lessons with some of the very best instructors, Butch Harmon, George Gankas, professionals at my home course at the Olympic Club...all extremely good. Yesterday I had the best lesson I ever had. Over two hours of one on one instruction in a language I could understand. Not so technical that my eyes glazed over. What it accomplished is taking me, my swing, my learning style and making it about me using the best learning aid I'd ever seen. Robogolf is adapted to fit you and your swing. Countless repetitions later, you start to understand the end game because you feel things you've not felt before. Sounds strange but true. Scott claims one benefit for me is a potential gain of 40 yards. I didn't take the lesson because of that outcome. And if it so happens then another kudo to Scott. But, I know why I'm not getting the 40 yds today and before the lesson Nada. I could go on but you get the sense of why I'm a believer. Last, Scott doesn't something 95% of the teachers Don't Do. He will actually send you videos of your lesson. All say they will and most never do. It takes time and it's like paperwork-- they just don't do it. Go have fun and become what you want to achieve.

It was kind of a cold day, foggy, but was beautiful on the course and luckily warmed up throughout the lesson. U can park then make ur way to the range which is the walk way in front of parking lots. Sean is so nice and friendly and makes u feel great even when the ball goes awry. He helped me correct my swing so I'm rotating and using my whole torso/body instead of just my arms. Also my stance and grip. This was my first lesson and we already saw improvement in how far the ball was hit! I would def recommend Sean and will be back for more lessons!!

I had kids and started a business and took about 15 years off of golf. Like everyone else, I got back into golf during the pandemic. I felt like I was starting over. After a few months of scores over 100 I decided to seek out golf lessons. Steve came highly recommended by a friend. I had watched every youtube video on the web about getting rid of my slice and gave each tip an honest try. Steve taught me to focus on being relaxed and keeping a nice tempo. He also showed me how completing the rotation of my shoulders in my follow through automatically squared up my clubface at impact. In my 2nd lesson I was able to hit some of my iron shots pure. By my third lesson they were going longer and my swing felt so smooth and effortless. I started regularly shooting rounds in the low 90's on the hardest courses in the area. By lesson 6 I started to be able to regularly hit a draw on my driver with a slight inside out path, keeping my balance, and getting that club face closed with my shoulders on the follow through. I have now had 8 lessons and I am shooting in the high 80's on hard courses pretty regularly. Now pretty much every time I am out someone stops me and tells me how great and effortless my swing looks. I am hitting more fairways, more greens, and my short game lessons have improved my putting and my chipping. I am now making almost everything from 6 feet in, and have significantly improved my longer putts. I still have good days and bad days, but my bad days are better than my good days were before my lessons. Lastly, Steve is the best deal in town from a bang for your buck stand point. I paid $150 for a 4 lesson package which comes out to only $37.50 per lesson. You can't find a better deal.

The receptionist was nice during check in. They give free s'mores kits. There are campfires around the property. I had a relaxing night! Room: I had a room with two queens. It was very spacious! There was a separate shower and bathtub in the bathroom. There were black out curtains on the windows. I didn't realize there was a window on the ceiling until the sun shown down in the morning. Then I also noticed there were blinds to block out the sun on that too! The bed was so comfy. The blanket was so warm and seemed like down feather. They gave us two complimentary glass bottles of Martinelli's apple cider. Amenities: -Fitness center. I was here at night, so it was very dark. I only saw one small room with cardio equipment. No weights. -Spa. There was no water dispenser and no hair dryer. In the women's locker room, there were lockers, one shower, new bathrobes, one pair of slippers (that we saw), and fresh towels. The steam room was small but could fit at 4-5 people. -Pool. The pool is heated. I wish they had a jacuzzi! -Golf. I think they had a 9-hole course on the property, but I did not partake in this. -Golf shop/Golf club. This is a 10 minute walk from the lodge. You can rent and purchase equipment here. -Tennis/pickleball. Equipment is free to borrow. No shade for the pickleball court. One tennis court is covered in shade by itself. Not sure about lighting. No wind guards. -Restaurants. See website for hours. When I checked out around 11-12PM, the restaurant was closed.

They charge $25 per person, unlimited balls. A little pricey compared to the other driving ranges around but worth the try since we were in the area. There's a limit to how far you can hit your ball (180 yards) because it's not a big enough space and there are houses nearby. The pro shop looked well stocked with golf clothes, footwear, accessories. I'm sure there were golf clubs (I didn't really look, but I'm pretty sure I saw some bags). Lastly, they have strict dress code- both at the course and at the range- no denim, no t-shirt's, no sweats. Didn't know this prior to coming here.
