The room was spacious, we added a roller bed and BabyQuip crib. Signed up for the little rancher and was super cute. The kids got to feed the goats, per sheep, alpaca, donkeys and mini horses. Did breakfast buffet daily, as we had credit. We also went to the pool, and the kids loved it. Walked around the golf course and saw some deers. There was a wedding so it was kind of loud. Location: beautiful breathtaking views tucked away in a mountain valley, it is a perfect spot to get away from the hustle and bustle from city noise pollution and high populations. Customer service: there are only 1-2 check in desks, where they spend about 10-20 minutes with each customer explaining the property amenities, location of room, events, etc. when you've been traveling all day, every minute feels like a lifetime. Restaurant: there is only one full service, sit in restaurant that gets booked very fast especially for dinner. Plan ahead and make a reservation in advance for every night you plan to stay on campus and eat there, otherwise, expect to wait until 8 pm or drive to the nearby restaurants which include a Subway, pizza joint, or a small Vietnamese restaurant. Earthbound Organic Farm is a great alternative option for a small breakfast or lunch bites. There is another Mexican restaurant nearby. Clientele in the mornings consist of rowdy children and their inconsiderate parents. I recommend asking to be seated outside if you have well mannered children and want to eat in peace. Rooms: mediocre clean. For being a Hyatt affiliated hotel, I had higher expectations, rooms are carpeted with wooden floors and heavy rugs. This resort is pet friendly so if you have someone in the family that suffers from allergies or has a very sensitive nose, this is not the best place to stay. As most Californian hotels that have carpeting, you can smell odors in the carpeting and linen. When things got hot and humid in our room, I got a nice whiff of dog. Basically any pet friendly hotel means that your linens will be washed with dog poo or other animal fluids. Rooms are only dusted at eye level but if you're someone that is concerned about dust mites, be prepared to get a showering of dust mites on bed, where the headboards reach 6' high and hold lots of lovely layers of dust. Coffee pot is sad and comparable to a motel 6 version with blah coffee, and lastly the beds are super firm with no ability to adjust (like other Hyatt holidays offer), and pillows are huge and uncomfortable. Foam alternative is slightly softer but still too high for a back sleeper or stomach sleeper. Bathroom: limited. They do provide tiny handwashing bars of soap made of lavender, and provide a tiny sample sac of lavender salt to use in tub but for those with allergies, best to request an alternative if any. Shower corners contain black mold. Refrigerators: our room had a tiny refrigerator that could hardly fit anything and doesn't cool sufficiently so for those moms packing extra healthy snacks for your kids, consider your fridge useless. All the strawberries, yogurts and hummus we purchased made it straight to the trash. Room patio: dirty and useless. There was a couple of upholstered seats and one table on our patio that could not be enjoyed as they were filled with dirt, dust and leaves. Would I stay here again? No - due to the pet issue for me. Most Californians love their pets and don't mind staying in places that wreak of dog butts that they've habituated to. Like I said, my husband had good intentions but there were too many issues that made it undesirable for me.

Like many golfers seeking the ultimate golf swing "fix" I've been fortunate to have lessons with some of the very best instructors, Butch Harmon, George Gankas, professionals at my home course at the Olympic Club...all extremely good. Yesterday I had the best lesson I ever had. Over two hours of one on one instruction in a language I could understand. Not so technical that my eyes glazed over. What it accomplished is taking me, my swing, my learning style and making it about me using the best learning aid I'd ever seen. Robogolf is adapted to fit you and your swing. Countless repetitions later, you start to understand the end game because you feel things you've not felt before. Sounds strange but true. Scott claims one benefit for me is a potential gain of 40 yards. I didn't take the lesson because of that outcome. And if it so happens then another kudo to Scott. But, I know why I'm not getting the 40 yds today and before the lesson Nada. I could go on but you get the sense of why I'm a believer. Last, Scott doesn't something 95% of the teachers Don't Do. He will actually send you videos of your lesson. All say they will and most never do. It takes time and it's like paperwork-- they just don't do it. Go have fun and become what you want to achieve.

I advise everyone to avoid Leguna Seca Golf Ranch as a venue for your wedding…read more My son and daughter-in-law got married there this past Saturday (7/19/2025) and while the location made for a beautiful backdrop to the ceremony and photos, so much of their contract was not honored that it made things very stressful. We were supposed to have the patio (where the ceremony took place) and the room adjacent to it until a minimum of 3:30pm. We were also contracted to have two bartenders dedicated to our event, the use of their speaker system, a coordinator to help keep the ceremony on schedule, bridal photos on the golf course, and a slew of other things promised but never delivered. Instead, after the ceremony (about 1:00 or 1:30), Leguna Seca personnel rudely started telling the bride, groom, wedding party, and all guests that they had another event that day (which turned out to be untrue) so we were to clean everything up and leave immediately. It was a mad scramble to gather all of our stuff before Leguna Seca staff tossed it in the garbage and locked us out of the room (which they tried to do before we were done). As a result, my kids were not able to gather with their friends and family after pictures were done so we did not get to toast the bride and groom, make our speeches, watch them do their first dance, etc. This was extremely upsetting and robbed my kids of some very special memories of their special day. Shame on Leguna Seca for not living up to their end of the contract but feeling free to take many thousands of dollars from us for the venue fee, golf fees on Friday, and large alcohol tabs (Friday while playing golf and during the rehearsal plus Saturday during the wedding). To make matters worse, on wedding day we had to share the main bar and one bartender (the only kind and considerate staff member we encountered) with golfers which made the line to get a drink out of control. To say I am a mad Mom because of what this venue did to my kids special day would be a gross understatement. Fortunately, my kids are resilient and awesome and chose to focus on the positive aspects of the day instead of Leguna Seca's unprofessional actions.

Carmel-by-the-Sea isn't necessarily known for the bar scene, but Links offers an excellent option for anyone looking to extend their night and keep the fun going! They have a pretty extensive menu of food and drinks. The food is pretty standard bar fare, but with no shortage of options. The drink selection is quite varied as well, with a good selection of beers on tap. Service has always been exemplary when I've been here - the staff is friendly, fun, and have the gift of quickly remembering their return visitors, which really makes Links feel like a welcoming spot. Food and drinks come out quickly, and my beer glass was rarely empty without the staff coming up and offering another round! Links also has several large golf simulator areas, where you and your friends can practice your swing while playing a number of games against a large virtual projector screen. Although it's on the Del Monte Forest side and no Ocean holes, the course is still beautiful and challenging with a mix of long and shorter holes, with sloping fairways, lots of bunkers, and difficult greens where you need to be strategic on approach shots, so it helps to play here a few times to get used to them. The course was in terrific shape today and pace was very good...finishing in a 4.5 hour round despite our group having lost a few balls along the way in the woods or thick native areas. I will say there were a few changes since I last played and I didn't remember it having so many waste bunkers everywhere the last time I came, which was at least 7 years ago. Although many people walk, I enjoyed having a cart because it's a rolling course and it can be quite a walk on a few holes to the next tee. I do wonder why they still don't have GPS on their carts. I would also suggest that they add some EV car chargers in the parking lot. Many of us drive 2 hours or more to get here so it would be a nice touch to be able to charge up the car a bit during a round, or while having a beverage or two in Porters before hitting the road! It's been too long since I last visited and I won't wait that long again for sure!

Bar / restaurant staff from the starter even getting us out earlier than our tee time. Played here on a Friday at 3PM and was off the course at 7:02 playing as a 2 some. Course was in great shape, green rolling always true and quick. Bunkers are always strategically placed in n the right spots but the sand is pure and fluffy coming out. Definitely coming back again here before the 2026 season ends.
