I'm not a big bar person these days. When I was in my 20's I think I got it all out of me. This review is based simply on take out food and dining in during the day. Patrick's Sports Bar has a decent menu, with the normal bar type foods. The quality and portions are decent and reasonably priced. Service and staff is energetic and friendly. I'm kind of a wing snob so if you read my other reviews, anyplace that has wings on the menu I order. Of course Patrick's has buffalo wings on their menu. They were cooked to perfection, not over done or died out. The hot sauce had the perfect buffalo heat. The blue cheese was delicious, and tasted as it was made in house. Didn't come with celery though? My only gripe would be that their wings are tiny. Not sure who the supplier is but for me it's a negative. Patrick's is a win for a sports bar with decent food. My friend grew up going to this place and every now and then she hauls a few of us and every time I wonder why I don't go more often. It's a quintessential West Side sports bar so the inside... reflects that, but there's also nice outdoor seating. Prices are reasonable and the food is really good. read more

Start off with saying great food! (2 star reason, service makes it though) First bengals game of the season and it was just me. Service was lacking. Frequent customer. Not sure what has happened the past few weeks. Restaurant isn't busy, yet at a table of 6 five received their lunch after 45 minutes while the last person takes another 15 minutes....for a couple cheese coney's???? Server blames it on a 'system issue', not buying it. 45 minutes for what we ordered is insane....and you would think when 5 of 6 get their lunch the server would check why the last didn't...not here, they just go on their way wandering around. The bar tending staff is incompetent and likes to spend more time talking to their regulars than taking care of new customers. The older blonde who generally works the mornings is absolutely horrible, mean, unprofessional and clearly only has a job because the pathetic owner cannot find decent people to work there. Just an average sports bar. Our waitress seemed new, because she wasn't very attentive, and our drinks were only refilled once towards the end of the meal. We ordered a variety of food, so we have a good idea of what the kitchen can do. Mozzarella sticks, they were barely above room temperature and seemed like they weren't in the fryer long enough. The cheese didn't really stretch. One kid got a pancake. Butter was frozen and I couldn't even scrape it out of the plastic. The pancake was rubbery and difficult to cut up with a knife. Luckily all he cares about is the syrup. My other kid got the chicken tenders. They were super dry. He said it was ok. Mom got a pizza. Only ate a piece and told the waitress she could just throw it away. I've had frozen pizzas that are better. The pizza had no taste, and the sauce is watery. With the whole "it takes 20 minutes" if you order a pizza warning, they need to just cut it from the menu. I got the Double R burger. It's small, salty, the bun breaks apart, and the burger tastes like a frozen patty. This place is so average it hurts. We'll never waste our money in there again. If you just want drinks they have a very nice bar, plenty of TVs, and the waitresses are all young and cute, but don't bother ordering food. read more

Patrick's is an awesome friendly family place to go, the food is great and the service is always to perfection. I've been going there for years and it's always been a place to see and make friends. Where else can you get a delicious homemade cheeseburger deluxe with a fresh not hothouse tomato and side of tater tots for under eight bucks? The only change I would have is a personal preference of a red onion instead of a white onion on a sandwich. Their tater tots appetizer has the right balance of cheese, bacon, and ranch dressing. I came here for breakfast on Sunday morning. Well before the game day began. They have a full bar and more televisions than I have seen anywhere else. Breakfast was very reasonable (1/2 the cost of Perkins (which recently closed)) but no pancakes and no blueberry boysenberry syrup. They have great goetta without the up-charge that Perkins has in order to substitute for another meat... and tater tots as a choice of potato. Two guilty pleasures of mine. went in for dinner with my wife and sat at a 4 top the only table open which I guess the server didn't like and was so rude and nasty. took our order someone else brought us our food never checked back on us never ask if we wanted refills someone else got us to go boxes took our money and left us waiting 15 plus minutes on our change and basically slammed it down on the table trust and believe I didn't want to leave a tip but my wife is not 1 to stiff a server. they need to teach they're waitresses some basic manners and hospitality. Nice place to go after the kid's basketball game. I got the cheese coneys and was impressed with the flavorful cheese and chili. Makes me wish I'd gotten the 4 way instead. Service was great and they have a great number of TV's. Want to go back to try more items. read more

Not only is this an excellent place to grab a bite to eat or meet friends for drinks - the employees are honest and dedicated to their customers. My daughter left her purse there and it was personally returned to our home the next day!!! I would name the person responsible for the return - but I don't know it and my husband didn't think to ask. We will be going back soon to thank her personally. read more
