We came in to check out the burger week special which is simply "The Burger" here. They really didn't need any gimmicky stuff, they have a great tasting burger! It's all about the beef. This beef was not from a manufactured frozen patty, and it was great tasting and cooked perfectly (lots of juice). You get to choose your cheese and I went with a classic cheddar. Good job APG. APG as locals call it has been a staple in Anderson Township for many years. Finally got around to writing a review after many meals here. They have daily food and drink specials, so make sure to check the board when you walk in. I have enjoyed their sandwiches, fish tacos, and salads over the years. Today's review is on the pulled pork BBQ sandwich. Mine came loaded with pork and tangy bbq sauce with some coleslaw on the bun. My side was the APG house salad which is not only very tasty, but a beautiful work of food art! The accompanying vinaigrette dressing is a perfect pairing, tangy flavor that partners well with the feta, sunflower seeds and craisens in the salad. Service is always excellent. I've been wanting to visit this place. My fiancée visited several times and loves it. I wanted to try it for lunch so he took me on a Saturday. The inside is very spacious, they have an outdoor patio, bar area and a sunroom section. There are mass televisions everywhere so there are no bad seats in the house when you want to watch a game. They have a great menu! Starters, greens, chili, wings, flatbreads, sandwiches, wraps, burgers, main plates and dessert. They also have an open bar with craft beers on tap, specialty drinks, and wine. We ordered: Drinks: -Tito's American Mule -Sonder U Betcha IPA Lunch: -Reuben w/ steak fries -The Burger (Wisconsin cheddar cheese) w/ waffle fries I loved my cocktail. Very refreshing! The restaurant was able to easily sit us as a group of 6. The menu had plenty of different food items to order and the selection of beer was good. I ordered a burger with waffle fries which was very filling and very good. I got a picture of the tacos that my friend ordered which they said were delicious and would recommend. Overall a good time at a pub and grill where with a lot of people it was a little loud, however they have two areas in the restaurant to break up the noise which was nice. read more

Friday night (June 6, 2025) our Milford High School Class of 71 had a dinner engagement with a reservation for 25. We were put in a private room in front with one server who took care of our every need. Walked in front door and there were 3 high school boys as hosts on their phone. I think we bothered them. They had to put their phones down. Asks us three times how many. Sat outside not sure this place owns a broom. I guess they are feeding the birds that would fly in and grab the scraps from the ground and the Un bussed tables. My ice tea was awful, we had to ask for silverware and only brought one set. I had to get up and get my own napkins from servers table. They were, of course, packed. We were just dining for dinner with a relative that was in from out of town. Kitchen was very backed up but they did not miss on the food they were pumping out. It was all superb. Our server was not very pleasant which is so off for this place because everyone is always so friendly. I'd like to think maybe she was just tired of dealing with drunk people all day but I'm not so sure considering we weren't. I felt like everything we asked for was met with attitude. I was excited to eat here since not a lot of breweries have a good veggie burger. It's a black bean style patty which usually I don't like due to the spices, but this was very neutral tasting and filling. You can swap out any burger with a vegetarian patty (which is also gluten free). We sat outside, which I'm not sure I recommend in August since there were flies everywhere. The waitress seemed a bit uninterested in us and kept forgetting to ask the kitchen our question regarding gluten. I got the black and blue burger with a veggie patty and with no bun. The blu cheese it's topped with was not that great. The waitress confirmed that the fries are gluten free, just cookies in a shared frier. They seemed heavily battered so I was hesitant. Best wings on the Eastside! Big, meaty and cooked just right. The dry rub can stand on its own but dipping the wing in a side of spicy peach sauce gives them a nice kick. Love their burgers too. Waffle fries are yummy and the cabbage salad is a delicious mix of cabbage, toasted almonds, sunflower seeds, crispy noodles tossed with Asian sesame dressing. We came here for dinner last night because my husband wanted to go to a local brew pub eatery. It was pretty packed when we arrived but we were able to get a seat for two fairly quick. You can tell that this is a local establishment which was really nice, it had a cozy feel to it even though it was fairly crowded. The food here is American and pretty simple, but the menu was fairly big. My husband ordered the blue cheese burger and he really enjoyed it. He said that the blue cheese came super strong, which he loved and the burger patty was cooked to a perfect medium. I ordered their pulled pork sandwich and I really enjoyed it. The barbecue sauce wasn't overly sweet which is nice and much more preferable for me. I asked for the side of green beans and you can tell that these were fresh green beans which was great because I hate canned green beans. We also ordered mozzarella sticks for the appetizer just because I haven't had a mozzarella sticks in probably 20 years lol. It was good and nostalgic lol. We love stopping here for dinner after Mass. The buffalo chicken dip is amazing. It's served with the crispiest tortillas chips. One weekend they had buffalo chicken egg rolls as a special, I wish that would come back!! I also am a big fan of their house salad with a delicious raspberry vinaigrette. Called in for a big group order. Barb took my order over the phone. I wasn't sure what I wanted and she gave recommendations. I settled on the Burger with sweet potatoe fries. I ordered multiple items for others; veggie chicken quesadilla, chicken quesadilla, nachos with chicken, salad, Mushroom burger, fries and wings. Everything was great. No complaints about food taste or texture. Even the temperature was good. There is a lot of space inside restaurant, so groups should be fine. There's a big patio out back that's covered from the elements. They also have a small arcade room. They could probably get rid of it as it isn't worthwhile. I'd go back for food and drinks. Stopped by this joint with some friends who live nearby. It's a great spot for locals, after church bites, and bar food cravings. I'm a burger gal so I ordered a mushroom and swiss with a side of onion rings. The burger was pretty dry and unseasoned. I typically get medium but it was well-done with not much flavor. The onion rings were delicious, however. I also ordered a house salad with bleu cheese and it was the best! I believe they put cranberries in it which I LOVE. First time customers, who were over on the east side playing golf and wanted a place to eat/drink after. Place was empty, except for a few people at the bar. We sat at the bar, ordered our drinks, and were asked if we wanted menus, to which we replied yes (insinuating that we wanted food, obviously). 30 minutes go by, the bartender was busy talking to the other couple at the bar and didn't bother to check in on us. Finally she comes over and takes our food order. 10 minutes later she says "I'm sorry the kitchen is closed, you wont be getting any food." Nothing was done to accommodate for the inconvenience and no drinks were taken off our bill. I was really looking forward to trying the food, especially after seeing all the good reviews. Staff is friendly and attentive but not hovering. Plenty of McNick, Anderson and Turpin jerseys during football and basketball seasons. Go Rockets! I'm so torn on the rating! Great food, amazing service on a very nice patio...but the patio is no longer a non-smoking patio. What a complete disappointment. So much for loving it because as long as people can smoke on it I won't be back. We stopped in for a quick drink before a concert on Saturday night. My daughter-in-law was waiting for us and ordered dinner. She ordered the Fish Tacos and she said they were pretty good. They are served with pico de Gallo, cabbage and a side of cilantro sour cream and salsa. She also had a side of slaw with sweet potato fries. I ordered a Manhattan. It was great! My daughter ordered the Hurricane and my daughter-in-law ordered the Mermaid Water. Both liked their drink, especially the Mermaid Water. The service was quick and the server friendly. I have been here a few times since I started dating a woman from Anderson. The atmosphere and vibe are decent. Just your run of the mill local sports bar. 10-12 beers on tap, liquor etc. The reason for the lower rating is the food quality is below par. I had the Buffalo chicken flat bread on this visit. It was Luke warm, the cheese was barely melted. Their was not much actual chicken on it. Flatbread should have a crispy crust. This was border line slimy. I did have the Rueben on a previous visit. It was ok. I would go back in to have some beers but until the food quality improves I won't be eating read more

Anderson Pub and Grill is the Eastern offspring of Oakley Pub and Grill. This location is much bigger than the Oakley location, and has basically the same menu. If you've seen my photos or reviews of the Oakley location, then you know I've had virtually every item on their menu. Definitely above average bar food. Solid burgers. The Soul Burger was named #7(I think) on Cincinnati Magazine's top burgers list a few years ago. Their Unique Slaw is NOT to be missed as a side item! I recognized a few staff members from Oakley P&G. The location itself is decent, but this place is laid-out in a odd way. You walk in in the middle of the place, and there are 2 bars and two dining areas , basically mirrors of each other. 1 to the right, one to the left. There is also a patio off the bar/dining room to the left. So there's a lot of room(x2), almost like two separate restaurants with the same menu. Lots of big TVs, so this will be a good place to watch the game, eat some decent pub-grub, drink some local beers. Arthurs' Anderson location just opened diagonally across Beechmont, and there are HUGE lines to get in. If that's the case, hit up Anderson P&G, there's more seating, their Burger Madness night is Wednesday, and they have food/drink specials every day. And that's The Rest of the Story. This location has become a great gathering spot but the menu is still struggling. I am a huge Crackling Salad fan but their other offerings need work. Burgers are ok. The Fish Tacos show some promise and I will cry if they close because I cannot live without APG Meatloaf. APG Chili could become a meal of it's own. My kid loves it. Add some pasta and do a healthy takeoff on Cincinnati chili or cover it in onion straws and call it Cracking Chili........ I don't know. I've done two meals at this place, and one of them was decent at best and the other one was pretty good. That means I should try it a third time before I leave a critical review, yet at the same time I think you should know what they could get here. I got a burger and a thing of brisket chili one time it was just not worth it. Like the burger was dried out and taste was pretty weak oh, the brisket chili was fine, but I didn't think it was good enough to warrant ordering a second time. Then like a year later I went there after a friend help me move, I got crispy fish tacos with a side of Asian slaw and wow! The tacos were actually perfect, other than the fact that they were in flour tortillas but I can't be too nitpicky when they're giving tacos at a white folk bar and grill in the suburbs. every other bit of flavor with it was great, the Asian slaw was a little heavy on the dressing but the dressing was sweet and poppy seed desk rather than a vinegary or creamy Mayo. Both times my friend enjoyed his chicken wings and celery or fried chicken tenders or something else that is pretty easily done, and one time we got great service. So as a home if you're in the area and you're craving this kind of food I would check them out, if you would like some really really good fish tacos I would definitely go back. But anything other than that I'm going to have to find out to get a read more
