I have had a couple people in to quote the job, 1 said we only needed to put wood filler in the cracks of my railing posts....ummm, I'm no expert but pretty sure that won't fix the safety aspect. Anyway, Jerry said he couldn't do the job right now because he has too many pending projects, but he still swung by to look at the railings & stairs to confirm my suspicions that they need to be replaced in order to be safe for my family. He took time out of his day for a non-paying client and gave honest assessment of the work needed to be done. While I really want to fix the unsafe railings, part of me hopes I can't find someone else until he is available for the job!

Our yard is probably one of the most challenging yards you could imagine, set on a steep slope with a septic mound taking up the majority of the backyard which makes it difficult to do much with the space. We had recently purchased a new construction property and the seller (Justin Smith, The Homescout, LLC) bailed on the outdoor work before it was completed leaving us with a poorly built, unpermitted retaining wall and considerable grading and drainage issues. Littleton Earthworks came to the rescue and helped us mitigate many of the issues with creativity and thoughtfulness that we didn't see from the any of the other companies we spoke with. Dan from Earthworks proposed some great solutions and seemed to enjoy thinking through how to solve the problems at hand. The end result was so much better than we could have imagined and the regrading gave us a significant addition of usable space in the backyard. And, when we had a tropical storm come through the day after work was completed Dan came back with his crew to reseed and install an erosion control blanket for a nominal price, really going above and beyond. Everyone on the Earthworks team was great to work with and super nice, we couldn't have been happier with the service and the results. I would not hesitate to recommend Dan and his wonderful team!

I am in over 10 houses/week for work, and my own are the worst floors I've ever seen. I've seen houses built in the 1800's with original flooring, that are in significantly better condition. We tried call Century out a few years back, and they refused to do anything. These are Bruce floors which advertise a limited lifetime warranty. Not even close! Our hardwoods are worn, pitted and have absolutely no finish left - completely unacceptable.
