There are many complaints filed with the state Attorney Generals office, BBB and social media about these retailers. These are generally seasonal retailers that lease during Xmas. They sell way overpriced skincare and other beauty products. The products are worthless but their super pushy, scam artist sales people target older women, often charging women well over $6000 for products that are no better than a $10 bottle of skin lotion at CVS. These salespeople push samples into the hands of people walking by and try to persuade them to come in the store. Some of the names of these retailers in the past were Vine Vera and Truffiorre ( 2 different skin products own by Mazal Group). The most recent store I saw in the mall that is either owned by the same company or an affiliate is a place called the Sea Spa. They also have pushy sales reps hanging outside the store waiting to pounce on vulnerable women. They take advantage of people. The mall knows what these businesses are all about but doesn't seem to care. If they cared, they wouldn't keep leasing to them and allowing their sales people to roam outside the store, physically approaching innocent people passing by. Does this mall even have a manager? It's disgusting.

Our 6 year old enjoyed riding on the escalator in Macy's and she'd probably say that was the highlight of our visit. Its worth stopping by Hatchville Baking Company and Smith Family Popcorn. Both stores are fresh and delicious. Family Popcorn even has Dels ices which I've been searching for on the cape. Parking can be challenging at times, but they have big lots around the commons. I highly recommend stopping here for a fun day.

We purchase clothes for over 200 kids each year and this store is well, stocked, well designed and immaculate. The staff is beyond helpful and the Manager (Chris) goes above and beyond to make sure our experience is efficient and glitch-free. It is rare these days to go shopping and find a store both stocked and well staffed with happy employees. Other companies need to take lessons from this operation. Kudos to them.

Traffic for the most part was a bit stressful, moving around and finding a parking spot. Although that's not the main concern, it is well maintained. However, the main signage needs to be addressed on the board, as some big businesses are not named on it, for example, Papa Gino's, as I got lost finding it, along with other names. Restrooms here need help. Ladies room door is stuck open, neither of the two stalls lock or provide privacy (gaps) and the hand dryer struggles. Definitely in need of attention for safety and privacy sake. They are clean. Entering the mall on the far left gives access to the gym and sporting goods store. Turn right to access the rest of the mall. Center entrance takes you by a long chocolatier shop displaying tasty treats for sale. Other shops inside include a book shop, Panera, science store and Paper store. It's a small area overall. Not one you'd stop in to 'walk the mall'. The shops we browsed are clean and well organized. Inside and outside shopping in this area covers a lot of your daily needs.

I had the opportunity to visit on Sunday, September 14th. Garden City Center's historic gazebo green transforms into a vibrant, open-air Farmers Market. The Farmers Market is every Sunday from May 18 through September 28 from 10 AM to 2 PM. I wandered and checked out the local vendors. There were a great variety of them. I purchased a really cute coaster from The Book Emporium RI. The Book Emporium RI sells books that are wrapped and you have a blind date with a book. I also purchased a lavender sachet from 15 Lavender Place. I spoke with the owner and she told me all of the lavender is lovingly home-grown and hand-harvested, ensuring the highest quality and care go into every product. There were soothing lavender eye pillows, relaxing neck wraps, sprays, and bundles of dried lavender. I also went to Fully Rooted to purchase two bottles of freshly pressed juices-Watermelon Slice and Golden Greens. There were also local food trucks, farm booths, and local makers. The Garden City Center Farmers Market is a market for everyone. Either if you just want to stop for coffee, get produce for the week, flowers, dog treats, see alpacas, and so much more.
