I was completely shocked at the experience and have now found a new place for my family to go whenever we feel a need to "get away", which is often! Upon our departure, the owner was even nicer than when we first met! I am so pleased with this place I will recommend you trying it out for yourself. We stayed in one of the new pull through full hook up sites, it was spacious but not shady. They planted new trees so some shade will come. The pool is nice. They only have one shower house, I think they plan to add another but it's not built yet. The showers were clean and the laundry was convenient. The pool was fantastic. We enjoyed the free mini golf. Definitely go eat at Patty Cakes!

Our, 26cloud fit right in and it was very cool to see some of the older designs all still being used. Of course, all RV brands are welcome. No motorcycles, golf carts are OK. They had a number of children activities planned for the 4th of July festivities and I even saw a kids Halloween party going by.

The showers are always clean. It was nice to see they added a second laundry facility. We have a travel trailer so we stayed in the general campground. Our site was 413 and the long back in with no problem getting in. Our escort, John, was fabulous. He helped us get set up and was always able to answer any questions. The store is convenient and the popcorn at check in was a welcome touch. Since we didn't travel with kids, we didn't pack smores supplies so the store being open until 8 was appreciated. The pool was a nice afternoon retreat after a morning of biking.

The folks checking us in were very kind -- we are new to RV'ing. They asked if we wanted an escort. We did so a very nice gentleman escorted us to our spot and helped me back in. He even dropped off some wood for us. It is the end of the season -- it was not busy. I'd say it was *maybe* 1/3 full. They must have permanent trailer spots because we saw a number of trailers that were clearly not in use. We didn't have any noise issues like others complained. We weren't there for the food or the pool. We just like a level, large, site and this place had it. When we stay again, we will book one of the sites that has the paved patio. We brought our e-bikes and rode down to Empire to pick up the sleeping bear trail. It was a short 3 mile ride to town. The road was a little scary since there isn't a bike lane and it is 55MPH but most people moved over for us. One person was a jag and buzzed us but other than that, it was fine. Very pretty actually with the leaves changing colors. So, all in all, I really liked this place. We'll be back.

They provide life jackets, paddles, canoes, kayaks, tubes, and multiple different sizes of rafts, along with a map of where to go and finish and a driver to pick you up after your trip. The ride itself was very relaxing, there wasn't a person on the river while I was rafting. The wildlife and nature was beautiful, herons, geese, ducks, and turtles. The price was very reasonable, $120 for a 4 person raft for 3hrs, with a driver included to pick you and the raft up. I will definitely be back to go rafting again, it's a great option for those who don't like to get wet in the river, or for chillier days!
