She is incredibly knowledgeable when it comes to canines and has taught me a lot about my own dog and things to watch for and how to help them. He is currently on Chemo for lymphoma and I would not trust anyone but Joan to watch him while we're out of town. She also does grooming and training, which I can't comment on because I've never used those services, however from other people's experiences, she is top notch on those as well. If you are looking for a place to board your 4 legged friend, have them groomed and or bathed, or need training services, I would not hesitate to take them to Cedar Rock. Joan is a rockstar when it comes to canines, you will not be disappointed!

After my Harrier had been out of heat for going on three weeks, she was still passing blood. I KNEW it was time to have her fixed - now! She also had a fatty tumor in her arm pit I wanted removed. I made an appointment, & had her there at 9:00 am, when they opened, & was the first person. I was told I could most likely pick her up @ 2:00, & call to confirm. When I called at two, Dr. Horn came on the phone, & proceeded to tell me all the reasons she had not gotten to her yet. "I knew it was going to take a long time, so I put it off, & I've been trying to get back there, & get to her." Right then I should have went with my first instinct, & told her I would be right there to get her, & don't touch her. But instead I told her I would be there @ 4:00. After 4:00 she comes out of the back, & proceeds to tell me she did not remove the fatty tumor, & all the reasons why. Among those reasons is "she is twice the weight she should be, & needs to loose weight first." I had never looked up what a Harrier weight should be, so I just did. Minum weight 45 pounds, maximum weight 60 pounds. When she was weighed this morning, she was 60 pounds. So after a litany of excuses for why my baby sat in a cage all day, with no food or water, & then did not get the fatty tumor removed, I was charged $150.00. $30.00 of that being for an obese charge, & being in estrus charge. She was out of heat for almost three weeks, & was @ weight for her breed. Now my previous questions of this establishment being money hungry have been answered, & added on to it is neglect, & bad care.
