I remained calm and apologized for the occurrence, our dog has never done this before and they were fine minutes prior. I was then screamed at and the owner threatened to get his gun and shoot both of my dogs. His dog had a cut behind her ear and my dog had her harness completely ripped off her from the dog biting her. This man screamed and almost turned into a physical altercation. I remained calm and tried to defuse the situation. He asked for my information which I provided and then he wouldn't give me his. Threatened me with his gun if I didn't pay his vet bills. Followed me home and had me go to the emergency vet. It was a very heated situation and I was very nervous. When at the vet he continued to make remarks about how he would kill both of my dogs. The vet had to physically remove me from the room due to my safety and the remarks they witnessed. I didn't think I had a choice besides paying their vet bill even though they had no concern about my dog that was bit and had marks all over her. The vet called me frantically this morning scared for my safety due to him picking up his dog and coming to my house to drag me out of my home AFTER I paid the entire bill. ****The vet also informed me they admitted to their dog being AGGRESSIVE, HAD NO SHOTS, and not neutered...... if I knew this prior I would've tried harder to get out of the situation but was scared. I've had to make a police report and am now concerned for my safety due to this altercation and him coming to my home again. I will not be returning. And I recommend going to a dog part where the animals are up to date on their shots.

The fencing appears to be secure and in good condition - standard chain link - with one exception (picture included). If your dog is a jumper or a large dog that is motivated, you will want to walk the fence line for your dog's area. There are tennis balls for the dogs (lots of them) and buckets of water. There were five other dogs in the dog run while we were there, three appeared to be together and one of the three was very aggressive; they got their own area as the other dog owners steered clear. Lots of parking and a porta-potty for the humans. And it is loud at the dog run, because of the proximity to I64. And of course the dog run is located in Cherokee Park, so you can get your steps in before after your pooch gets theirs. Dogs must be licensed and members of the dog run association. No free lunch, but a welcome substitute for a large back yard if you are a resident of Louisville metro.

Be advised it is only maybe 3ft at deepest, rocks on bottom, and occasional waters naked. You know, nature stuff. Crawdads abound, and are fun to hunt. Only caveat is during dry spells the water can become less than savory. Toxic even. So be advised.

Located in the highlands/Cherokee portion of the city of Louisville. I stopped by this park the other day with my wife and 4th horn daughter who is 18 months old. We had planned to play on there small playground but she fell asleep so we Chelsea out the scenery instead. They have lots of water that's ankle high and lots of rock that allows you to walk out in and get in the water. It also a few small trails that surround the park that lets you see yeh park from several angles. The park includes seven benches on the banks of the water for viewing pleasure. They also have a giant pavilion that can be rented out. Which looks like at one point was very impressive. Now it's not upkept and filled with graffiti. It's honestly the only eye sore here. Hopefully they clean it up. Overall cool place that looks like it has 3 different parking lots for different entry points. Although the water is low enough and there is a bough rocks to easily walk this small park and get to any entrance. We had a nice visit here and I look for art to coming back with my other kids and enjoying the exploring and playground.
