After a long day of volunteering at a community health clinic, eight exhausted and very hungry healthcare practitioners headed to Milton-Freewater in search of Patty's Restaurant -- a place highly recommended by locals. What a pleasant surprise it was! Not only did we find a menu with something for every palate, but also food that was nourishing, delicious, and made with love. The highlight of the evening was meeting and spending time with Patty herself -- a charming, charismatic woman with a heart of gold -- and her hardworking, kind husband. The only legit Al Pastor cooked on a rotisserie with a proper Trompe! 5 tacos for $10! This time I was there,one of the genius daughters had prepared an amazing salsa with a peanut based flavor... it married perfectly with the touch of sweetness that the pork has from the pineapple that is cooking slowly over time on the rotating spit. My husband and I just had an awesome meal at Patty's, and will absolutely go back again and again. I always try chilaquiles wherever I go because they're just about my favorite thing. Patty's are superb. My husband had their chili rellenos, his favorite, and pronounced them wonderful. The service was outstanding; it's a family-run business and these folks treat you right. Stopped in on a Friday for early dinner. Read the amazing reviews and were looking forward to the food but was shocked at how gross the food was. Both of our dinner entrees were completely dry (imagine a frozen chicken breast that had been sitting there all day) and bland. We mentioned it to the waitress who offered to take a couple bucks off the bill. Completely not worth any of the $$ we had to give. read more

This is definitely the best Mexican Restaurant in Milton in my opinion. I would even go on a limb and say the best in the valley depending on what you like. The chips and salsa are really good. I could eat the salsa by itself. I had the Carne Asada plate and it was slapping! The meat was seasoned just right and they also give you a little chili oil on the side just incase you want some kick to it. It came with salad, rice, and beans, and 5 corn tortillas. The prices are very fair for the amount of food you get and the flavor that comes with it. I will definitely be going back soon. Great Place! read more

We happened upon this place while driving through Milton Freewater and boy was I surprised! Very authentic food. The ambience is a bit to be desired but the wonderful food and great wait staff made it worth while. I had the tamales with rice and beans and I was going to pass on the refried beans but the server urged me to try them. I was so glad! They were awesome! Great texture and taste. Simply amazing. We were going to check out the "dollar taco truck" but realized that it was closed. We went here instead and OMG, I am SO glad we did! Immediately, when we walked up, there were staff outside with the al pastor on the rotating rotisserie with pineapples on top. There were also 2 drinks readily available and both were delicious. My husband ordered the huevos racheros - his staple at every authentic Mexican restaurant to "gauge" how good their sauces taste - total nerd but he loved it. I ordered the tamales and was not disappointed. We also ordered some tacos and all were delicious, including the red and green sauces. Our friend ordered the burrito and OH MY - it was huge! We were were happy we came here and this small town is lucky to have such amazing authentic Mexican food in their downtown. We will come back here again - I want the fruit agua fresca again as it was the most unique beverage I have ever had!! Simple mind blown in Oregon. read more

Headed here after a hike at Harris Park. The food was delicious and the menu was great. The kids especially liked the mango water with chia seeds. I ate the vegetarian sopes, which had zucchini, mushrooms and garlic. So good! There are lots of great Mexican places in the Walla Walla Valley, and this one is up at the top. read more
