    hires contractors who rip out other workers work and don't fix it, which ends up costing homeowners more than necessary

    They don't hold contractors accountable for their poor work and end up costing homeowners more than necessary by working in circles.

    This week a letter was placed on my door that my HOME WILL BE AUCTIONED OFF ON AUG 30, 2022, a home my husband and I worked hard for, to suffice an unfounded 4k debt. I have reached out to Paul Davis Restoration, and they refer us to the Attorney for them, who will not stop the sale for less than 10K! Sadly, a business will take a home and displace 70 yr olds in its community to resolve an unfounded debt. Two years ago, my kitchen sink leaked and caused some damage to the floor and room below. We contacted our insurance, and they recommended Paul Davis Restoration. They arrived with a team of 3, removed all the cabinets, placed them in the front room, cut a 5x10 section of drywall from the space below, set up fans overnight, and returned the next day to collect the fans. I mentioned that my nephew was doing the kitchen, and after that, they stopped responding to messages and calls and dropped the job for 2 1/2 weeks! They finally txt and apologized for the delay. By that time, we had removed the debris and moved on. Until the bill came for 4k, I requested a breakdown and was sent a coded invoice that I could not figure out, but I saw charges for debris removal, which they did NOT do. Promptly I was served papers to pay the 4k, and we responded and filed with Paul Davis Restoration Attorney and the Courts. This company is dishonest and spiteful. Avoid using this business.

    This review is for the PaulDavis in Kaysville, Utah. YIKES! THIS COMPANY DOESN'T CARE ABOUT YOU OR ITS REPUTATION! 4 people knew that I was having a problem and none of them helped me; Austin, Kyle, Dustin or the Regional Manager. I'm blown away by their lack of customer service and communication. The mitigation process, with Austin, went great at the beginning but everything after the repair estimate was a NIGHTMARE! Once Dustin McBride, the one handling the mitigation process, THOUGHT I wasn't having them do the WHOLE job he started treating me like crap. He wouldn't respond to my text questions. I called and talked to Kyle on a Thursday and let him know that I was concerned about the lack of communication. He assured me he would talk to him and make sure he communicated better with me. 4 days later Dustin texted me at 4:30 pm (right before he was going home for the day) and said they wouldn't be able to start my job for 6 WEEKS. I texted back and said, "When I talked to you 2 weeks ago you said the job would be started in about 2 weeks." He texted back that was based on them doing ALL the work. I assured him that I never said they weren't going to do the whole job and I just wanted to wait to see what the estimate said. There were crickets after that. I'm so confused about this manner of handling problems. I also called and left a message for the regional manager of Paul Davis but it's been 4 days so I doubt if they care either. If you look at some of the other reviews about Paul Davis, Paul Davis stops working when someone complains about a problem they are having. They run away instead of actively solving the problem. I checked out the Utah Disaster Kleenup reviews. I was impressed that when someone complained they wanted to find them in their system and make things right. That's the kind of company that I want to work with, one that is concerned about their reputation!!!!! I've hired UDK to come and do the work. I guess my $14,000 wasn't enough for Paul Davis. (they would have gotten over $22,000 for the whole job). Unfortunately for them, when I'm treated poorly I let EVERYONE know about it. They should have at least acted as if they cared. Check out my evidence below. My texts are in green and Dustin McBride's are in b&w. It took him 5 days to get back to me. How hard is it to send a text? To PaulDavis: I hope that you guys learn from this experience and don't just assume the customer doesn't want you to do the whole job. I wanted to see the repair estimate before a signed the work authorization slip. I didn't know what I was locked into once I signed that. Once the estimate comes back, just call the customer and say, "hey I've got your approved estimate back from the insurance company. They are going to cover this and this. We can start ____. Can I please get that deductible from you?" I would have said, "that sounds great. Do you know how much it would cost to paint the whole basement at the same time?"

    Took two years to fix the water damage to the front of our house. The roof is not fixed and they refuse to return our calls.

    I had a leaky toilet and it caused water damage in my basement. I called All Pro and they came out…read moreand fixed the toilet. The guy that fixed it was really good. He talked me into buying a membership and said that they would come out for any repairs on appliances, electrical and plumbing and wouldn't charge the initial fee, just the parts and labor would be charged. A month down the road, I had a toilet that was running so I called All Pro to come out to fix it. They told me they would have to replace all the guts inside the toilet and that my pipe coming out of the wall was not compliant with code and that I would need a new pipe with a shut off valve. They said they could not fix the toilet without replacing the pipe. They quoted me 500.00 dollars to fix it. I told them no way and that I had a membership. It shouldn't cost that much to fix a toilet. They got it down to 300.00 but I thought it was still too much. I ended up paying it which I am so mad that I did. It was an astronomical amount. I called the manager and complained and she wouldn't do anything about it. So long story short, you pay for the membership and then they charge 3 times or more to fix anything. It is not a savings. I am very disappointed in this company. They are a rip off. I looked up the cost of the toilet guts and they only cost 25.00, the pipe was 15.00 plus none of my toilets had a pipe with a shut off valve. They wanted to replace all of them. I said NO!!

I contacted the insurance company, and I was expecting to have to replace walls and carpet. They put me in touch with Utah Flood Guys, and told me that they would be able to handle the water, and just to let UFG do their thing. They knocked it out of the park!!! They arrived right on time, and were super calm and collected while I was peppering them with a whole bunch of questions and opinions. I was concerned that just a few fans would not do the job, and id be worrying about a musty smell and possibly left over water. They understood my concerns and took the time to explain the process, to put me at ease. Their equipment was quite impressive, and it was very clear early on that these guys weren't just placing fans. They knew exactly what they were doing, and they were coordinated, clean, and quiet. I can't stress enough, the piece of mind I felt while watching them work. It was super reassuring. They saved me thousands of dollars of repairs, and increased insurance claims. It has been a few months, and I can tell you that there has never even been a whiff of a moldy and musty smell. They left me with a bone-dry basement, and that is all I could to for. They just nailed it! Utah flood guys did a great job, and I want anybody in the same situation to hopefully see my experience, and know to call these guys, because they will take good care of you. I posted the same review on Google, but as a Mac user, I wanted to leave one here as well.
