The approach during my visit with Chattanooga Periodontics & Dental Implants, particularly with Dr. Felts Randall, was extremely impersonal, rushed and uncaring. I chose not to return. Also, the clinic participates with my dental insurance, however I received a bill as if I was a self-pay. The issue was corrected only after I pointed it out, mailed only the correct discounted amount, and told the clinic that I could report this to my dental insurance and the insurance commissioner. As contrast, I went to another local periodontal clinic (near Gunbarrel) where the two doctors truly listened, showed genuine concern for my comfort and needs, and made the entire experience positive and reassuring. Each time I pay the 60% I get an additional bill from River Valley for almost $600.00. The office manager "Christine" has told me that they have she has to bill with another name for in network. Today she told me she would cancel my next appointment rather than take care of the ongoing "out of network" dilemma. Be careful in choosing this practice for your dental needs. It is more like a car dealership and the office manager is definitely not an asset to the practice or the patients who have trusted their dental needs for 14 years.
