Almond and chocolate croissant and pan de sucre
    Angel K.

mm Paul! Yes, it's a chain that's all around Paris, but there must be something tasty about it because why else would it be popping up everywhere? My boyfriend and I stopped by this location all the time. It was right next to where we stayed and had some very tasty treats. For drinks, boyfriend liked his espresso, and my hot chocolate wasn't anything special after having hot chocolate with chocolate pieces melted in at other places. The chocolate filled beignet was so delicious. I can't think of why I didn't buy some to enjoy every day! Pan de sucre wasn't all that tasty, just okay. Almond and chocolate croissant was a big hit for the boyfriend (he gets all excited just thinking about it now even though it's been well over a month since our trip!)

Two words... Pastry. Heaven. During a trip to Paris, we were referred to Rue Montorgeuil street for some of the best local restaurants and bakeries in Paris. We stopped at a few specific recommendations that happened to be closed, so we ended up at Paul. Being that this wasn't our original bakery choice, I didn't know what to expect. I ordered an apple pastry and butter croissant... All I can say is wow. I don't know what they put in this stuff. Whatever it is, this was my first of many life changing pasties that I had in Paris. It was sweet, buttery, and fresh out of the oven. There's also a nice seating area outside where you can people watch the entire street. THis place is amazing. Not necessarily the best pastries I had in Paris, but that isn't saying much given that all pastries in Paris are amazing. Highly recommend this place!

Disappointing experience. There are too many wonderful patisseries in Paris to settle for a visibly dirty one with okay offerings.

Great caramel tartlets and decent sandwiches. Don't usually recommend chains, but this is good one!

Best omelette I've ever! I got an egg, cheese, sausage,…read moremushroom omelette. Omelette was fluffy and very flavorful til the last bite. The vibe and music of the place was excellent our server was polite and very quick with our food. Highly recommended with very good portion sizes!

The owner is straight forward to warn larger groups of the small tight spaces up top and wards off any NBA players without helmets as their is low clearance upstairs. The menu is all French and limited English by the servers but it's easy enough to navigate. We came with 5 for Sunday brunch and sat right away but one had to sort of share space at the table. We ordered mixes of omelettes and Benedicts. All came with nice small whole potatoes and a little sour cream. You can modify or add quite a bit. Eggs are your choice of style ultimately and apparently the brunch includes pancakes. We were confused by that and they come after you've eaten the other items. I'm not sure if we paid for that or not but we chose to move on without. It came with your choice of tea or coffee AND a small orange juice. The eggs were cooked very delicately and moist with cheese and good meat in the omelette. Overall it was a fine breakfast compared to croissants and coffee but a little expensive.
