This park is very popular in the Brandon area. It's mostly shaded by big oak trees with lots to do for the kids. They have a scavenger hunt on one of the play areas to find cute little animals around the playground. On the weekends they usually have a icee truck or ice cream truck to ge the kids a nice cold treat after running around for awhile. read more

Great park for the kiddos! I really like that they have different play sections available for the various ages and sizes of children. There are plenty of different sized slides, jungle gyms, swings, climbing activities and bathrooms. This park can get busy! And get busy and crowded early! There are two large Parking lots available! However, beware!!! There are these large trees and in certain seasons, the nuts/seeds fall and will either possibly hurt you or possibly dent your car! Stop by 7/11 grab a few slurpees and let them burn out their energy at the park! I wish every park was as remarkable as Paul Sanders Park. From the spacious, fenced in space, to the large, hearty trees, this park is a child's heaven. Or even a mother's in this case haha! I've been sighted in a tree a time or two there before. Even as an adult, I'll admit. I've loved this park ever since I was a kid. They have pavilions available for rental, too. The water fountains, as well as the bathrooms are pretty clean and well kept also. All in all, my family and I thoroughly enjoy visiting this park. It's always a good time when we visit. read more

Decent park/playground that just got a big renovation, so all the playground equipment is new and still in good condition. Plus, they replaced the original rubber groundfill with soft mulch so the place doesn't stink like a tire factory on hot days. That old stench haunts my nightmares.... Anyway. Most of it is shaded, so it relieves some of the Florida heat - but bring water for the kiddos, since portions of the playground are unshaded. It's hot, y'all. Decent amount of parking, but the place is an absolute pain in the ass to get in and out of. If the entrance was moved to Kings street it would be so much easier, but since we don't live in a perfect world, good luck trying to take a left out of here. read more

Playground is closed due to COVID-19. Most parks have reopened, but this one hasn't yet to. What a shame! Kiddos need an outdoor outlet. The playground is large and well shaded by beautiful, large oak trees. It looks like a nice playground for kids. We had hoped to play here today. Beautiful new playground but very dirty. The playground itself was awesome! There's a Fence around the entire play area. 2 bathrooms. Playground is for tots on up to 12 years. There was garbage everywhere though. :( read more

Best park in Brandon. Recently renovated with amazing high quality equipment, encouraging creative climbing play. It's one of those parks that makes you want to be a kid again. There is plenty of shade here, so it's great on sunny days where the kids would otherwise be getting burnt to a crisp. There are three picnic pavilions that you can rent, plenty of parking, bathrooms, trees to climb, and open space to run. You won't come here to fly a kite or play with your drone, but if you want kids 4+ to have a great time, this is the place to go. read more

Shady isn't always a bad thing. And if there's one thing this park is, it's shady. Huge, old, gorgeous trees surround the play area, protecting nearly every inch from the sun. There's also plenty of open space, a small field really, for sports or games. Along with bathrooms, there's a huge covered picnic table for parties. And I've seen the ice cream truck parked here plenty of times. I miss the old days when we'd bring Lauryn here and she'd climb the trees and run and play... Sigh. read more

The park has recently been renovated with brand new equipment. I wish there were a few more picnic tables around the play area under the trees in the open area, but we were able to spread a blanket on the ground and enjoy the shade while the kids played. It was really busy today but it was well-maintained. There isn't a well-defined area for bigger and smaller kids like before, but all the kids seemed to play well together. The park is definitely shady. The trees cover almost the entire area. The bathrooms are near the parking lot, but still close by and inside the fenced area. There are maybe three different exits that I could see, with a possible fourth gate towards the far end behind the restroom area. read more

This is my favorite park to take my girls to. The whole park is covered by trees, so even on a hot day, it's enjoyable and (somewhat) cool. Most importantly, my girls wont burn their butt/legs trying to go down the slide. There's an area for bigger kids and a playground for smaller kids with signs indicating which is which. The park has 3 covered areas that you can rent out for parties and there's plenty of lawn which would allow for a jumpy castle. It's right off of a main road, but it sits lower than the street so it's still very much private. read more

We had our hope up for this one. The trees in this park are gorgeous and provide plenty of shade. The location is great. Being one of the few playgrounds in the area, it's an okay place to bring your kids, if you live close by. I definitely wouldn't go out of my way to bring my kids here. It has two mediocre play structures that look like they where installed in the late 90's or early 2000's. There are no climbing or spinning structures or monkey bars. There isn't a slide over 4 feet high. There are a few sets of swings, but the regular swings are so low that most kids over 7 will have a hard time using them. This place will do for kids under 7, older than that and the kids will probably be bored in a very short time. My son said it would be fun for run around play because of the trees, but he and his friends would probably not use the playground equipment. read more

major renovations over the last year and a half. its great to hear kids saying how much they love the park when you're there. if there's a downside its that the transition from toddler space to big kid space is minimal so little ones still get run over by bigger kids. read more
