Went here on Sunday June 21st 2026 with my parents. We stopped in here because we were looking for beach bags, as our friends got them from here, so we decided to look around. This was our first time buying something in this store. and our relatively first time shopping here. This store is located at broadway at the beach and above it is the Paula Deen's family kitchen, which we haven't been to yet. They have lots of coastal items from souvenirs to kitchen items like plates, cookware, and little knick knacks, as well as items for the beach. It is quite a large store. Basically there was two spots we found beach bags, one near the back of the store, and there were some in the front of the store. they also had cooler bags as well as matching towels. We were able to find a cute set to use that had starfish, and was very beachy. Staff was nice and asked us if we wanted the items right away or can it be wrapped up. We were fine with wrapped up items, as we weren't going to use it yet. Cashier was pleasant, and for all locals, they offer a local discount. in total we spent 108.37, and paid with a credit card. ***Late post from my Oct 2023 East Coast trip*** OMG... I did not know Paula Deen Store and Paula Deen's Family Kitchen are in the Myrtle Beach area before coming here on vacation. I was a very big fan of hers when I was a Food Network fan back in the days... loved her cooking shows! Anyway, I was so very happy they are located at Broadway At The Beach. The store is massive with tons of kitchenware, knick knacks, and fun souvenirs. I spent a good hour just walking around the store. I ended up getting a very cute shirt, a comfy sweater, and a bunch of magnets with cute quotes on them. Yes, I am a magnet collector wherever I travel. I remember I brought home over 100+ magnets from my Western Mediterranean cruise trip back in June 2019. I go crazy with magnet collecting... I can get 10 magnets of the same city LOL. Hey, they are different in design and I love all the designs. Alright, back to this review... they didn't have a fitting room, but I was able to find a back area near the restrooms where I was able to throw on the shirt and sweater. I am grateful they had my large size LOL. There was a really nice lady who helped me get the sizes I needed... thank you! She was the same lady who ran up my items. Funny, I ended up spending over $100 just on 8 magnets and a couple clothing. Hey, it's Paula Deen so it was worth it. Just a fun shop all around. Paula Feen is an all you can eat restaurant. You order and continue to request u til you are full. The food was equity, the service was great. Atmosphere was very inviting. So many food items I can recommend, how about I share a few. Fried Chicken, Mac and Cheese, Catfish and so much more. My husband loved everything. Save your money and go elsewhere. Brittany, at the front desk, refused to seat our party of 15 together. After waiting for 2 tables near each other, we finally gathered our 15 people, and she had given one of our tables away. She was rude and indifferent, and single handedly ruined our evening. AND the restaurant lost out on an over $500 bill!! I hope the server who would have served us thanks Brittany for the loss of an over $100 tip!!! Sorry Paula Deen, THERE'S NO SOUTHERN HOSPITALITY HERE!! If you have a big group, ready to spend a lot of money, find someplace else!!! My entire family will be writing negative reviews!! Service was great. Food poor. Reminded us of a cafeteria food. We had the country fried steak - which was tough, and over cooked. My husband liked the chicken and dumplings enough, but it just looked like mush to me. I was thinking it would be more chunky chicken and nice dumplings but it was finely shredded chicken in sauce with hidden dumplings - again looked like mush. Mashed potatoes - so whipped looked like store bought powdered potatoes reconstituted. Mac n cheese was luckwarm/cold. Obviously under impressed. Won't be returning. read more

Our first time at PDFK; definitely not the last time. Our server, Elisha, is super friendly, knowledgeable of the menu, efficient, and most of all, on point whenever we needed a refill. We ordered the fried chicken (I can eat this just about every day, it was that good); the Meatloaf was not dry and was delicious; our sides were green beans (would've preferred it a bit snappier but it was still good); cream of potatoes (great consistency and taste); buttered white rice (not much flavor); and the Mac & Cheese was just a tad dry. We were both so stuffed that we took out desserts to go, (banana pudding & apple cobbler), were both delicious. Absolutely love this store! The people working there are very pleasant and helpful. The store carries some cute, unique items that I've never seen elsewhere. And the condiments...the dill pickle mustard and the hot horseradish mustard are both very tasty, the sweet bourbon glaze is as well. Awesome on meatloaf! We traveled from Medford Oregon to visit the Paula Dean store and restaurant. The food was amazing at the restaurant, however one of the employees at the store ruined our experience entirely. One of the young men was very friendly and the other was so rude to my husband. My husband stop and asked him about the college team he was wearing and tried to be friendly to him. He ignored him completely and just gave him a dirty look. Really ruined it for us. We waited 3 years for this trip and how sad that one employee ruined it for us. If anyone is interested, we could describe him perfectly to you. He is not doing your business any favors and we thought you should know. read more

We aren't planning on shopping at Paula Deen Store again. But maybe consider checking out her buffet at least. Our fam took us to shop here for some jam and honey, but the employees kept following us around. They made us super uncomfortable and kept staring at us like if we were doing something wrong. We still bought a pack of jam and honey since we wanted to give them as gifts for our friends and fam. But I wouldn't recommend shopping here unless you are ready to get followed and stared down disrespectfully. That ain't cool at all. read more

This is on the first floor of the Paula Deen restaurant. It has everything from cookware to aprons, to cookbooks. There is an part that has ocean themed items. There are even Paula Deen sheet sets. If you or someone you know is a Paula Deen fan then this is where you buy them gifts or souvenirs for yourself. If you aren't a "from scratch" cook they have bottled jams, jellies, and dressings to buy. They also have boxed cake mixes. I rarely cook but found a few things to buy for my mom and myself. If your boyfriend or spouse doesn't want to join you in looking around there are plenty of rocking chairs out front. read more

I love southern cuisine, but their concept of family style cooking that mandates the entire group has to decide on all the meals is wasteful. My girlfriend only ordered an appetizer and after she ate half of it, the server REFUSED to give her a box to take it home with her. I understand the necessity in not allowing people to take buffet or family style food in a to-go box, but what the server did was illegal, as the food my girlfriend ordered was her property and no longer the establishment's and was not a buffet item. The server allowed the rest of us to take out dessert home in a to go box, but banned my girlfriend to take her appetizer. It was extremely rude and is contrary to the southern culture that Paula Deens is supposed to be supporting. Needless to say, our group won't be returning. read more

Had a great time with the talkative staff. We loved the concept of being served family style the choice of 3 different entrees of comfort food per table. We got to choose 4 sides. We started with the most yummiest salad and dressing.. we tried to get some greens in us, Mac and cheese, green beans and the squash casserole.. simply delicious. Loved the dessert that came after and just the right amount. We had the cobbler. It's a nice experience in the gift shop too. Many useful gadgets and sauces. The restaurant is bright and airy. Everything was made in China. It was still fun looking around even though I don't purchase things made in China. My only purchase was the biscuit mix for $5.99 because the recipe for cheddar biscuits was on the package. The directions were vague and they tasted nothing like what is in the restaurant- extremely bland. Don't buy the biscuit mix - not worth it! I threw them in the garbage! Stopped with friends. Thought was great atmosphere, no waiting for table. Also seated quickly, orders explained by 2 waitresses. Orders put in. Meals brought and were delish although park of pork chops were salty. Two of us don't use salt. Rest of meal was very good. Service was great and not overbearing. Definitely would go back. Party of nine calls ahead to be first for a single table of nine. We arrive and are told that we will split up into two tables. We notice that nine-seat table is available. We are told that the table for nine is reserved by an executive or manager. We comment that if this were true, the manager or executive would automatically provide priority to customers before employees or connected employees. We asked for managers to meet with us. this never happened in more than 80 minutes. no MANAGER came to talk to us. Then we asked if we could realign the two tables to seat the nine. Told that 'we do not move tables together.' Yet, in three other instances, tables were moved together. Very poor initiative on the staff's part. Portions of food are larger; but quite frankly, it is not the best fried chicken! Other meats and sides are fine but nothing outstanding. All in all in a disappointment and the management needs to actively train staff about customer focus. read more

My family and friends were so excited to try Paula deens new restaurant. The atmosphere was very inviting, clean and new and we were quickly seated next to the window which was a very nice view overlooking the water at broadway at the beach. We sat for about 15 minutes waiting on a server. We sat way too long without being greeted. When the server arrived she seemed like a very nice person but was not trained on how to guide a table through the menu and control the table in a way that a successful server would. She forgot the drink menu when she returned and struggled severely with taking our basic drink order. She has to grab ANOTHER server to take the order because she has never heard of a bay breeze before. When the drinks finally arrived each one was wrong. We ordered 2 seabreeze and a vodka and pineapple but we received 2 vodka & cranberry and a lemonade with NO liquor in it. When the server returned she said our food was on the way and we asked if she has remember the fried okra appetizer we had ordered and she has told us she forgot and she ran to put it in. The food entree came out 5 minutes later and we never received our app. The food looked and tasted so disappointing for 22.00 a person and much lower quality than expected. Everything was so oily and mushy. Come on Paula! The candied yams were extremely oily and separated. Food does not separate like they did unless it has been sitting for a while. The mac and cheese was mush. Who the heck knows what was in the "creamy potatoes" because they stuck to my teeth in the weirded most unappealing and unappetizing way. It literally looked like it came in frozen from a warehouse like frozen half cooked stouffers food. My party ate a few bites and we lost our appetite. This place is a TOURIST TRAP!!! My mom gets up to use the bathroom & while walking slips and falls on her tailbone and breaks both of her shoes!!!! Due to the fact she took a pretty hard fall, the employees notified a manager & they all told her that the slippery floor is a "problem they are dealing with". They did have runners on the floor, but there was a 10 foot open spot without a runner. That is where she fell. So she limps back to the table. Our server never asks us how this mushy nasty food is. I have to get up and ask another employee to send a manager. We wait and and wait and then a manager finally arrives. The manager was very professional and nice. No complaints with her. She wrote an incident report and exchanged info with my mom doing basically everything she could at the moment. Leaving with a literal awful taste in my mouth, I had to use the bathroom. I enter the bathroom which had an odd smell of old mashed potatoes, and 3 out of 5 stalls are out of order. The 2 open stalls are filthy dirty with toilet paper all over the floor and pee on the toilet seats. One bathroom has blood on the floor and on the wall. I am literally so disgusted with this whole experience and will never be back or recommend this place to anybody. Good luck Paula, you have to step this one up if you want to be successful. Looking around in the dining room we were not the only table with problems. Never coming back. read more

My husband and I attended Paula Deens restaurant tonight and weren't impressed . For the dinner meal you pay 22.00 a person. That includes choice of 3 meats and 4 sides and 1 dessert each. We weren't impressed. My husband liked the creamed corn and apple cobbler. The food is ao commercially tasting and you can't take any food out. The worst thing that happened was the discrimination. I am African American. I was asked to show my ID for 41.00 purchase and the guy in front of me that wasn't AA purchased more and no ID requested. I was humiliated and felt profiled. I am a middle aged woman and certainly didnt look like I had stolen a credit card. Some thing never change. read more

We tried Paula Deens restaurant in Myrtle Beach. It was a huge disappointment! The best part of the meal was the cheese biscuits. Things went quickly downhill from there. It certainly was not worth the money and we will NEVER return. To say it is a tourist trap would be a gross understatement. The food is served family style and although they say you can eat all you want the presentation and quality of the food leaves much to be desired. The fried chicken was only average crispy but lacking flavor. The only two sides (out of our choice of four) I even liked were the creamed corn and the salad. The creamed potatoes were just plain mashed potatoes. The pot roast with rice did not even look good enough to taste. I thought perhaps the desert would make up for the lack luster meal but oh no that did not happen. I have never had a smaller portion of peach cobbler. I asked the server if the peaches were fresh but that was not the case simply canned. NO NO NO all I can say it is not worth the money or the wait! read more

Cost for dinner was $22.99 per person. Food way just Ok. Green beans, mac and cheese were bland, not much flavor. Rice with pot roast was bland. Pot roast meat was good and spare ribs really good but barely warm. Porky beans very sweet. Fried chicken was the best and was served hot! Creamed potatoes good but again not hot. Overall just ok.
