I was very happy that I did. The clothing is traditional preppy style with a bid of a hipster edge. I was quite pleased with the quality of the shirts and the "go to hell" shorts. I purchased three of the former and two of the latter. One of the aspects of this store that was really excellent was the assistance rendered by Norman. Norman is a courtly and friendly gentleman of the old school. He is helpful, has excellent taste and if you ask his opinion, he will be honest. He was quite simply one of the finest sales associates that I have come across in recent memory. He made shopping an absolute pleasure. Norman also provided excellent customer service by tracking down two items that he did not have in stock for me at other stores and arranging for prompt shipment of the clothing. Many sales clerks would simply not even try, Norman went above and beyond. J. McLaughlin has nice casual clothing and is lucky to have such an excellent sales associate in Norman. My experience with Norman will make me a regular visitor to J. McLaughlin!
