Stay away from this service company. I am held hostage because whirlpool has a contract with them. They are liars. They had my parts shipped and scheduled my appointment. I paid a house sitter 3xtra to be there while I was out of town. They didn't show and told her they didn't know the parts came in. They never told me to call them and tgey never called me to verify. We've used Paul's twice. The first time they were great, attentive and timely. The second time, they were slow, ordered the wrong part, came to out home and then said they were ordering the right part and would be back to repair our washer once it came in the following week. We've since been ghosted. It's been two weeks with no return phone calls or texts from any of the numbers we have for them. We went weeks without a washer because of this terrible company. So, this place is one of Home Depots contract repair shops. I can see why they are still in business, definitely not because of their ability to complete a repair or show for confirmed appointments or even bother to call a customer for awareness to let them know either they would or not be able to make their day. They ever show up on time. They are always canceling and rescheduling. The sad thing is they are the only Whirlpool service repair in our area... the first time he came out he ordered 3 parts that I needed even need. When the parts came in and and they came back 2 weeks later. It still didn't work he call whirlpool they told him what part was the problem. They came back again 3 weeks later and he replaced the part. Then the whole refrigerator quit working so they came back out again 3 weeks later he called whirlpool and he didn't have the part plugged in. read more

How do I start this? They are a local company that came highly recommended. Paul himself is great. The young man they have working for them seems nice too. However, they don't work on Samsung appliances, fine. We obviously could not use them for our fridge. So, when we had issues with our whirlpool dishwasher I called them. They came to look at the dishwasher and gave one possible solution, which we had already tried-changing the board. Since we had already tried that, they said they didn't know what was wrong and couldn't fix it. OK. Fine. The young man that came out called to discuss the issue and since they couldn't fix it, when I ASKED what we owed, he said, nothing since they couldn't fix it. I asked specifically about a call out fee since that is standard. He said no. I was a bit surprised but I said ok. I got a voicemail about a week or so later (sorry, I don't have exact dates) where a woman was requesting payment...a call out fee. I returned her call and left a message stating the above situation. Didn't hear from her for a couple of months. Got a call yesterday (6/27/18) where the same woman proceeds to say, "oh good, I've been trying to get a hold of you". Um, no. This is the second phone call. She explains she is trying to collect the call out fee. I explain to her the situation and she states rather curtly "um, no ma'am, there's always a call out fee." To which i asked well, why was I told there wasn't one, to which she replied curtly, "Well I'm sorry YOU misunderstood him." There wasn't a misunderstanding, however, I did pay the fee, because it's just not worth the fight. BUT it should not go unnoticed.I actually wouldn't have left this review if...1. Customer service had been different. It's customer service 101 that you NEVER blame the customer, even if they ARE to blame. Not to mention, you're trying to get my money. 2. If they would fix my appliances or attempt to(fridge) 3. Not wait months to collect a fee that I OFFERED to pay in the first place. or better yet, had collected it at the time of service 4. Had sent me an invoice stating fee and even reminders. She clearly had my info. We will not be calling them, nor endorsing them on our community page. Every customer is important. Paul's appliances made my life a living hell!! I have been without a fridge for 2 months. I requested a call from the owner but that has not happened. My ordeal began in March when I contacted my home warranty company, American home shield. They sent out Paul's appliances to fix my fridge and a man that smelled like he was hot boxing Marlboro reds arrived at my house. He ordered a part for my fridge through AHS and was to return on 4/5. A 2 week wait. The part never arrived and Paul's appliances eventually after another cancelled visit asked me if I had the part. At this point I realized they were not following up on anything. So, I contacted ahs and they said they reordered the part because Paul didn't know where the other part had gone. I reschedule for another 2 weeks out and the day before they let me know they still don't have the part. I have to wait another 2 weeks. I call them after a week and verify the part arrived. BRE said yes. And the day before my appointment they had to change it to two days out because if an emergency. So I complied. The called the day before that one and reschedule for a later time but I didn't receive that call and instead waited all day!! They called right before arriving and said, "we just checked the part. And it's the wrong one!!" At no point did anyone think to check the part so that I could have a fridge again! My fridge is so hot, it melts ice. I have had to eat out for 2 months!! Everything spoils, and no one cares!! Never use this company if you can help it!! read more

Well, our dryer quit drying about 5 months after the warranty ended. We had used Paul once before for a refrigerator issue, and decided to call him again. He arrived when he said he would, fixed the problem (a bad heating element) quickly at a fair price. I am so disappointed with this business as I was impressed with Paul, his professionalism & kindness was top notch. I text a number he had provided me & set up an appointment to repair my ice maker. He was scheduled to arrive between 12-2 so my husband took off work to meet him. He never showed up, called or text. Later the same evening I text him & he was very apologetic and I understood, things do happen & I was so impressed with his work. We rescheduled for the following Monday and again, my husband arranged to be home to meet him. And once again....no show, no call, no text. This is one of the repair companies assigned by American Home Shield. Please beware that they are the most unscrupulous companies that I have ever dealt with. The front office is staffed by rude and dishonest people. I have never written a negative review for any company and it only as a warning to others, that I felt I must leave this review. I own a LG refrigerator, which required a new compressor. This company was assigned by AHS warranty company over 8 weeks ago and they have yet to repair the refrigerator. The delay is not because of parts, as they were delivered within 48 hrs of ordering. What this company does is the most unprofessional and unscrupulous thing imaginable. The front office makes appointments based on where they can make the most profit, not on a first come basis. They set appointments and then cancel them on the day of anticipated service based upon where they can make the most money. A job that takes about 90 minutes to repair, has still not been performed after 8 WEEKS! No refrigerator for 8 weeks, because the staff chooses who gets service based on cash. They have out right lied to me on several occasions. They are a dishonest company and will try to take advantage of elderly and disabled people. They are posting their own positive reviews to try and offset all of the negative reviews that people post. I would speculate they are the most dishonest company in the business. Even their technicians are embarrassed by the way the company operates. It is my strongest warning that if AHS or Home Depot assigns this company, insist on someone else. How desperate the owner must be to knowingly run a company this way. read more

Fantastic repair service! I've been using Paul for 12 years on multiple appliances; about 5 repairs in all. He's fixed my washer, fridge, microwave - he can fix just about anything! They show up when they say they will (and sometimes a bit early) and the prices are very fair for good work. If you still have a problem, they come right back out to fix it. I got Paul's name from my mother-in-law who used him when she lived in Kingwood in the early 2000's, who was also pleased with his service. I've called him time and again because I know the work will be done right using a good quality replacement part that will continue to last a long time. No need to hesitate - call Paul. I have used Paul's Appliance Service on 3 separate occasions (different issues) and have been 100% satisfied with each occurrence! They are prompt with their appointment times and very knowledgeable and most importantly, do not try to take advantage of the situation. I have been involved with many other types of service providers during the latest events with Hurricane Harvey and have seen many shady people that are trying to advantage of many people. Appalling ending to an already exasperating warranty repair job. On December 12th, a repair technician came to evaluate my faulty 2 yr old Samsung dryer, turns out it needed a new idler pooley arm assembly (what rotates the large drum via a rubber belt). During numerous calls and emails, on Jan 23rd I am told they cannot get Samsung to verify the model number, thus the delay (was told initially this should take 10-14 days only...). I send these folks photos of the Serial and Model number on Jan 24th. I call today Feb 7th and they tell me they still cant get Samsung to identify the model and part. This is over six weeks now ! At their suggestion I call Samsung Warranty Service and on the spot they identify the model and suggest I order the part from J&J International, an authorized and licensed Samsung OEM parts distributor (www.samsungparts.com). I went ahead and purchased the part ($25) when this should have been covered by the warranty. When I called back and told Kaley at Paul's Applicance this, she says she cannot/will not send the technician to put the part in the dryer. When I politely but firmly reiterate that I am the victim here, they have failed to source the part over many weeks and I got it in 5 mintues, that they told me to call Samsung in the first place, she says the same thing. I ask for the manager Ellen and she proceeds to rant at me that I have been rude, i have no case, i ordered the part from an unauthorized dealer (not the case) and that I have voided the warranty. Imagine that, buying a part (not installing it) constitutes a violation of the warranty!!! Moreover, she goes on to tell me that she will contact Samsung to ensure the warranty is voided. Lastly, she says Paul's Appliance will no longer assist in the repair and I can find somebody to fix the dryer at my own expense. They fail to do their job and I am the bad guy here ! To end the story, I called Lowe's, where I purchased the dryer, and they say Paul's Appliance is way out of line here and have ZERO right to void anything and will send another company to finish the job that should have been done weeks ago. Lowe's took note of the unacceptable manner in which Paul's Applicance deals with conflict resolution issues with clients. Incredible !!!!! read more
